This is a great bed. Ours came with six slats, which provide plenty of support. The bed was easy to put together. Really like the rounded corners, our bedroom is small and we used to painfully collide with the pointy corners of our old bed.

What a nice bed for our spare room. The walnut finish is a great departure from all the oak finishes we had in the room.

Not nearly enough slats for proper support so we’re going to buy a sheet of plywood for better support. Other than that it’s really nice!

The bed is beautiful, but it only comes with the short center legs, not long ones so you can't use the higher platform option

This kind of bed is very simple. It looks nice. It’s not heavy. It slides easily from one place to another. Very cheap. I purchased two for my little boys.

The right side rail has a crack all the way through and the support legs are about 1/2” off the floor. Not as sturdy as I expected and the color is not perfect on the foot board.

The only issue that I can't wrap my mind around is why there are extra pieces in the packaging when they're not for the bed. Again, customer paying for something that is not in the details of the description.

This bed feels VERY unstable. It didnt come with L-brackets to connect the long side of the bed to the headboard footboard, and you can literally kick it and pop the pieces apart. I bought my own l-brackets online and put them in myself, but the bed itself shouldve definitely included them.

UPDATE: After about 30 days, the rail cracked. Once again, customer service through the manufacturer has not been helpful. It was easy to assemble, but the holes were drilled incorrectly and I had to repair this myself. The base supports for the center beam are also too short and don't reach the floor. Contacting customer support from the manufacturer was no help - they are only available M-F 8-5 ET, not 24/7 as listed on the flyer enclosed with the package (but you can reach their answering service instead). Once assembled, I found that the quality isn't quite what I was hoping for, as the materials seem lightweight. The bed rocks a bit as well. I suggest adding a sheet of plywood or something similar above the slats to add more support. While I think it'll be fine for the time being, I doubt this will last in the long-term.

Hardwoods

Hardwood wood varieties refer to the type of tree the wood is taken from; it has nothing to do with how heavy or dense the wood is (contrary to popular belief!). Hardwood woods are sourced from trees that have leaves and lose their leaves in the winter months. Types of hardwood trees include hickory, maple, oak, birch and cherry (among others). Wood from hardwood trees is usually harder and therefore more dense, as these trees tend to grow at a slower rate. Hardwood is ideal for use in indoor furniture crafting, as it is sturdy and durable. Most hardwood varieties are bright and beautiful in their natural tone/shade, but many take well to staining, finishes and paints. Walnut wood bed frames look incredible when paired with neutral toned fabrics and simple textiles, such as an off-white or muted blue color palette.

Red Wood

Red-wood is considered one of the most beautiful wood undertones in the furniture market, now imagine transferring all that beauty into your bedroom. The red-wood tone creates a visually stunning bed, that’s extremely durable, and weather resistant as well as termite resistant. A red-wood bed is the best quality bed in the market as it is even reluctant to decay and shrink as it ages with time. As other wood tones are likely to start to crack and turn brittle within the first three to five years, while the red-wood is capable of retaining its moisture and staying vibrant for more than fifteen years. However, despite everything a red-wood bed requires extra care as compared to other wood-tones as it is prone to denting, from the slightest impact. Also don’t forget it’s fairly expensive, if you are an owner of one, it’s good to note that when making your own adjustments always use stainless steel fasteners, since using cheaper fasteners you are likely to stain the wood.
