Oh my goodness...what a beautiful bed. This is perfect for a large bedroom and is a definite design focal point in the room. Very heavy metal, the bed went together flawlessly and took only one man to assemble it in about 30-40 minutes. This is a piece that will last for generations....

This bed is strong and beautiful. It took my husband and my son less than an hour to put together. My husband can shake it but it’s not so easy for me so I believe it to be very stable.

This bed is beautiful but the box was in terrible shape when it arrived. The bed had two areas that the paint was off and after talking to Hillsdale, there is no way to repair the paint. More care needs to be taken in the shipping.

Welp, I purchased this bed because it looks antique. Received all but the 4 posts that actually hold the bed together. While the people I spoke with were nice enough the customer service is lacking. When you get something wrong a company should do everything to make it right. It could take up to a work week just to see if it’s possible to find the parts and send them. That’s only if they have the parts. If not welp, they send another. How long does that take? Meanwhile we’re out of a bed that’s not cheap, sleeping on our new mattresses on the floor. That’s not what one expects when spending this amount of money.

Depending on whether you want to put your mattress on the floor or on top of your bed, Box spring will be necessary. The box spring helps a lot by providing underlying support for the mattress.
