Copper Grove Aster Classic Brass Metal Head and Footboard Bed Set review

This is definitely one of my favorite Overstock purchases! Purchased three for a children’s bedroom and couldn’t be happier! These are heavy and look like antiques with coordinated quilts. The room reminds you of Goldilocks & the three bears! These are lovely with any cottage or farmhouse decor. This would also make an adorable daybed! I wanted twin XL which wasn’t an option, so I purchased separate twin XL bedframes. If you opt to do the same just be sure your bedframe has the bolt on option & not just hooks. I can definitely recommend this head & footboard set!

This is the perfect bed for my guest room. I had one exactly like it years ago, but time had taken it's toll. It arrived in great condition and doesn't take an engineer to put together. I highly recommend it if you want something special for your bedroom.

It was really hard to find an antique bed in a queen so I ended up buying new. The bed is of good quality and pretty easy to put together although the pieces could make two head boards so there are two extra pieces that aren't used if you would like the foot board to be shorter. Also, the bed is truly a shiny gold and not dull spray painted metal as you often see these days.

Beautiful bed arrived in perfect condition. Took a while to assemble, but came together fine. If you order, be sure to read instructions - you will receive two identical boards, one of which you will not need to put in the extension so that the headboard is taller than the foot board.

Purchased the bed for my summer place. I received a simular yet different product from the same company. It was a footboard and headboard that you put together along with a a generic bedframe that did not have slats to hold the mattress. In a pinch I had 2x4 sitting around that I cut to size. I like it, it works, it looks nice. I need to add a box spring to lift it higher, but it it does what it needs to do. Overstock did give me some restitution for the wrong product. It was not the end of the world.

You list Queen size the same as King size, 78". But a queens bed is 60" wide. Wouldn't this be much too wide for a Queen bed?Do you sell this bed in an actual Queen size?Thank you.
We apologize for the confusion- the correct dimensions for the Queen size is: 51.5 inches high x 62.5 inches wide x 83.5 inches deep.

How high do the rails sits on the frame - I've ordered a mattress and the salesman asked if I wanted a regular box spring or a smaller box spring since metal beds usually have rails that attach higher - thanks.
We are unable to check this information because this item has gone out of stock.

Four Poster

Introduced in the 1400's, four-poster beds were more than just a piece of furniture -- they were a symbol of money and power. It was known as the "Bed of Kings." Because of its Medieval origin and images associated with it, such as carvings and heavy drapes, some may think that four-poster beds are out-of-date. Little did they know that this type of bed can adapt to today's modernism. Initially made from wood, four-poster beds, nowadays, are built from metal and acrylics. Japanese-style room? Scandinavian? Tropical? Don't worry, this type of bed can be personalized and definitely take on any theme. You may leave it as it is, put up curtains, or have a sheet drape over the side. Metal

One of the most asked question when it comes metallic beds is, are they safe for younger children? And the answer is always, yes they are. One of reason to why metal beds have grown in popularity over the last couple of years is the fact that they require less maintenance since as we all know metal does not dent or scratch easily making it even a more attractive option as compared to wooden and plastic beds. When it comes to durability also metal beds are currently the most durable beds in the market more durable than the wooden beds and would even handle more weight than a wooden bed frame. Metal beds are also highly portable since they are lighter than other types of bed, and in case you are the kind of person who love rearranging their bedroom setup you will definitely love the metal bed.

Single Material

When you need to kick back and unwind on your own, you need a single-material bed. Single-material beds are an excellent choice for anyone that likes simplicity and practicality. Without combining materials, you get a clean and uniform looking bed that will match any bedroom. The con of a single-material bed is that they won’t stand out as much as other beds, but this can also be a pro as well, as it means they’ll easily blend into any room and not take attention away from other features that are nearby. The single-material is recommended if you’re after a bed for a minimalist setting, something that looks very simple and neutral - then you’re going to be satisfied by the single-material bed. Single-material beds also look great when you have two separate beds in the same room - the single-material look really gives the room a strong, matching and consistent appearance.

Classic

Everyone wishes for a bedroom that looks like those found in the glossy pages of a home décor magazine, but due to budget constrains many people are not to achieve such a look. If you didn’t know it’s still possible to give your bedroom that expensive look and feel at a low budget which is achieved using the classic style. A classic styled bedroom is all about the details. However one thing you should note is that your bedroom will never look or feel classic as long as it’s dirty or filled with clutter no matter how much you spend decorating the bedroom. In order to incorporate that classic style into your bedroom you should ensure that your bedroom has the needed amount of space as we all know any luxurious looking bedroom should have that feeling of more floor space.

It's hard to go past a traditional bed. They're traditional for a reason, after all. Comforting and nostalgic, these beds are an excellent choice for homes and bedrooms that just need a simple, classic bed. Highly recommended for childrens beds, or as a bed for guests - they're the choice for when you don't want or need the bed to stand out. When you need a bed that just works and gets the job done - you're going to want to consider a traditional bed. This style of bed has lasted the test of time, and for good reason - they're the true soldier of the bedding room, always ready to get what needs to be done, done. The traditional bed is easy to maintain, you just wipe it down with some warm water and a dry it off with a towel. The simplicity of this bed and how easy it is to clean make the traditional bed your first choice for any time where you need a standard bed that won’t become the main attraction in a room.

In this modern age beds consist of a soft cushioned mattress and a bed frame, the mattress is usually resting on a sprung base, solid base, or a wood slats. Beds come in different sizes ranging from infant-sized cribs to small beds that can just accommodate one person, to large king and queen sized beds designed for two or more people. Most bed are usually a single mattress and a fixed frame, however there are other varieties such as a sofa bed, which folds out of a sofa or a murphy bed that folds in to a wall. Other beds can be referred as temporary beds as they contain neither a bedframe nor a mattress, a good example is the inflatable air mattress or the folding camp cot.
