Play VideoWe bought this loft bed for our daughter's room as she needed more space as well as a place to do her homework. We needed a full sized loft bed as we already had a full sized mattress for her that we had paid a good amount for when we purchased her previous bed a few years earlier. My daughter is very happy with this bed. It does shake a bit while climbing up it and when moving around on it, but not enough that she does (or I) does not feel safe. We like that it has two ladders to allow for various positioning within her room. The desk and shelves are very sturdy and the cork board is also a nice feature. Our video review is also attached.Read more

This frame has suited perfectly the needs of two twenty-somethings living in a downtown studio. Like many studios, ours featured a walk-in closet that we turned into our "master bedroom". This frame fits so perfectly in the space that it almost seems custom built. Also, since it's impossible for us to fall off the bed, we've used a 12" memory foam mattress. The bed is a tank. The 300lb weight limit is probably a liability thing. Sleeps myself, an Army veteran at 6'1 and 200 lbs, and my girlfriend at 5'11 and 150 lbs, and it really doesn't move at all unless you're climbing up or down. Which brings me to the only con: it's quite uncomfortable to walk up and down the ladder with bare feet. There are sweet spots and gentle ways you'll try out to get down this thing but it can be a little unforgiving. I wanged my knee, hard, the first night while getting down in a half-awake state. The solution we came up with is a craft foam cushion that we got in black from a local foam rubber plant. Cut and hot glued on the ladder steps, it's much more comfortable on your toesies. We also found that an IKEA KNOPPARP loveseat fits perfectly in the loft space and even leaves room for a lamp, which we control via a remote switch. The box it came in was very small for something so large. It did fit in my car, sort of, and I know that because it arrived in town 4 days before the delivery date and I, impatient, went to pick it up. I've attached a picture of that for reference too. Overall, very satisfied. Price is great, product is great, packaging was efficient. A+ item.Read more

Be safe

We bought this bed for my (now) 15 year old boy (6'3" tall) and it is the envy of all of his friends. He has a small room 11x10 and it makes the most of the space. The ceiling is only 8' and he can lean up in bed - not a full sit but it doesn't seem to bother him. It is sturdy enough for him though you will have some shake while climbing up and down. I had a friend from a government safety agency check it out and he said it meets all the safety standards. You should periodically double check the screws to be sure they haven't loosened. My son used a strip of LED lights installed under the bed to help with the lighting issue (it is dark underneath) and we used 2 black plastic floor mats for his normal size desk chair to roll on so nearly the whole area under the bed is covered by the mats (the room is carpeted). The desk is a bit higher than normal so be sure you measure seat height when getting a desk chair to try to keep all things ergonomically correct. The desk is a bit narrow -- we mounted his computer screen on the wall to free up space. We also used some bed buddy trays attached to the side so he had a place to put bedside items. Further, at a home improvement store, you can find a remote control to control normal lamps etc so turning off light after getting into bed is a breeze. We use full size sheets and comforter on top of his "old" mattress set in the frame. Since he's older, we did not worry about him rolling out/off the bed.It did come in one large box that probably weighs close to 100 pounds. If the bedroom is upstairs, two people will have to carry the box because its awkward. You do want to assemble the bed in the room its going into. With the size of our room, we made sure everything else was removed as we assembled the bed. It is slightly movable once assembled (to snug into a corner) but you wouldn't want to move it very far.Read more

My daughter loves this bed! It's very sturdy and stylish. Such a great use of space. Love the flat steps on the ladder and the opening at the top. Also like that the rails are high and are only open at the feet. This one is nice and tall, providing a nicer area underneath, and my daughter wanted to be up high. The desk is a nice size and up against the end, so leaves a big seating area. We're happy with this piece of furniture!

I'm a 19-year-old guy and this bed works great for me and my cat! I bought it to free up some floor space in my small apartment, and it's working out great so far. It's just the right height for the desk underneath, and I have it set up to where I combined my old desk with the one that came with the bed to make a corner desk, which works out surprisingly well. It doesn't wobble at all, even when I'm climbing up the ladder, and overall it's just a great bed! My cat also loves it since it gives him a nice high up place to sleep and look over the room. Also, big tip to make the assembly way easier for you. If you have a drill, don't use the Allen wrench they provide to put the bed together. Just find a drill bit the same size and use that instead. It speeds up the process a lot and saves your hands a lot of pain, trust me

Play Video I'm thrilled with this bed for my son. After much searching and reading reviews I decided on this one and am happy with it. Under the mattress has a sturdy clipping system and mattress does not sag and feels safe. Rails ate high enough for safety but also still gives the feel of openess. The bed moves a little when climbing up the stairs but not enough to make you think it unstable. It's solid. It took my 10 year old son and I 1 hour to put it together, super easy! We also made underneath his gaming area. We did have to zip tie his TV to the back rail of the desk because when you climbed the ladder it swayed. But it's not a big deal and with long black zip ties, not noticeable.Read more

What is the weight limit? And are the bed rails sturdy and strong enough for a teenager?
Hello, the bed has a weight limit of 200 Lb / 91 Kg, while the desk has a weight limit of 50 Lb / 23 Kg. Secondly, this bed is very sturdy and would be perfect for a teenager. Full / Double

A Full / Double bed is a bed meant for couples to share, however with the emergence of so many size options full-double beds are now mainly meant for single sleepers. Back in the 1940s a couple would perfectly fit and enjoy a full double bed, in fact you might have seen one in those 90s movies a classic full-double bed with a nightstand next to it and an old black and white TV on the wall. In modern day, full-double beds are still very popular, mainly among the younger generation who are not married yet and desire a little bit of comfort. Full-double beds fell out of favor of many couple with the introduction of king and queen size beds in to the markets. But despite that a full-double bed is still an excellent choice for single adults with limited space but still desire a bigger bed.

Black

When trying to open up a smaller bedroom most people often think about bright colors with light hues, but also there is a stronger advantage for going darker and there is no better way to do that than with a black bed. Black is known to amplify small spaces and also set the right mood in your bedroom space. A black colored bed makes your bedroom fell more intimate and special in ways that you could have never imagined before, something that you would never achieve with any of those bright colors. There is nothing as important as setting the right mood in your bedroom especially if you are a couple since it’s the base of your relationship romantically. A black bed adds a touch of intrigue but still blends right into the bedroom décor colors creating a timeless look.

Off-White

When choosing a bed color you should always take into consideration what color psychology has to say about sleep. For example with an Off-white bed, you should know that Off-white is a sleep conducive color that can be used to promote a positive energy flow. Comparing Off-white with White you will definitely note that Off-white is not as bright as White and as a result it does not stimulate unwanted excitement at a time when you should be calm, plus off-white is all about complementing your bedroom décor rather than contrasting. Since contrasting is all about stimulating your brain and keeping you awake. Off-white is a natural soft color that’s not overly stimulating or overly pigmented and that’s why I would suggest choosing an off-white bed especially if you have a dull bedroom since this color will bring liveliness into your bedroom.

White

A white bed is definitely a show stopper, it’s plain and simple. Despite people referring to white as lack of other colors, a white bed makes quite a statement. It gives your bedroom space a more open and timeless feel, while allowing your bedroom décor to standout even more clearly. A bed with a pure shade of white energizes your entire space giving it a vibrant new look, giving you the illusion of a more light within your bedroom. What makes a white bed a favorite for many is the fact that white as a color creates a relaxing sleep environment. And as you know choosing the right color is very important, since color is like magic and can influence your state of mind and emotions. If there is one thing you should do right is get yourself a white bed and enjoy every single moment you spend in your bedroom.

Bunk Loft

Sometimes, bunk beds and loft beds are often being used interchangeably. Don't fall for it. These two bed types have a difference. Yes, you may notice that they both have a ladder. However, a bunk bed has at least two beds stacked on top of each other and a loft bed, though a double-level bed as well, is only a single bed. Bunk beds are commonly seen in hostels, military camps, and dormitories. In addition, some of this kind come with a trundle or pull-out bed that can accommodate one more person.

On the other hand, loft beds allow you to use the space beneath your bed as a study or work area or as a closet. If the time will come when you decide that you don't need a bunk bed anymore, don't worry, you can convert it to a loft bed. Simply and carefully remove the bottom bunk. Depending on your needs, both bunk and loft beds are space-saving.

Desk

A bed desk is the most comfortable and logical way to use things like your laptop or tablet, or to use as a stable base to write things on. If you're the type of person that gets those great ideas coming to mind when you're in the bedroom - then the desk is an excellent feature to have because you'll be able to jot down your brilliant ideas easily and without having to worry about your writing not being easy to read! Another benefit the desk has, is you can use it to eat on without making a big mess of your bed! The bed desk is a versatile feature to have, and you will get a lot of use out of it. Once you start to get used to a desk as a bed feature, you will wonder how you got this far in life without one!

Metal

One of the most asked question when it comes metallic beds is, are they safe for younger children? And the answer is always, yes they are. One of reason to why metal beds have grown in popularity over the last couple of years is the fact that they require less maintenance since as we all know metal does not dent or scratch easily making it even a more attractive option as compared to wooden and plastic beds. When it comes to durability also metal beds are currently the most durable beds in the market more durable than the wooden beds and would even handle more weight than a wooden bed frame. Metal beds are also highly portable since they are lighter than other types of bed, and in case you are the kind of person who love rearranging their bedroom setup you will definitely love the metal bed.

Single Material

When you need to kick back and unwind on your own, you need a single-material bed. Single-material beds are an excellent choice for anyone that likes simplicity and practicality. Without combining materials, you get a clean and uniform looking bed that will match any bedroom. The con of a single-material bed is that they won’t stand out as much as other beds, but this can also be a pro as well, as it means they’ll easily blend into any room and not take attention away from other features that are nearby. The single-material is recommended if you’re after a bed for a minimalist setting, something that looks very simple and neutral - then you’re going to be satisfied by the single-material bed. Single-material beds also look great when you have two separate beds in the same room - the single-material look really gives the room a strong, matching and consistent appearance.

Beds

A bed can be referred as a piece of furniture which is used as a place to fall asleep and relax. In this modern age beds consist of a soft cushioned mattress and a bed frame, the mattress is usually resting on a sprung base, solid base, or a wood slats. Beds come in different sizes ranging from infant-sized cribs to small beds that can just accommodate one person, to large king and queen sized beds designed for two or more people. Most bed are usually a single mattress and a fixed frame, however there are other varieties such as a sofa bed, which folds out of a sofa or a murphy bed that folds in to a wall. Other beds can be referred as temporary beds as they contain neither a bedframe nor a mattress, a good example is the inflatable air mattress or the folding camp cot.
