Solid bed. Takes a little bit of time to put it together, but isn't difficult. It looks great in our son's baseball room, but I think it would be very versatile and look great with a lot of different styles and themes. The trundle works great, too.

Bed shipped quickly with no problems. Arrived in good condition with no cracks. My daughter and I assembled It easily. Within two hours the bed was assembled and in her room decorated. Only down side is some of slates have broken which is to be expected for the price I paid. I would recommend. It’s adorable and very functional for kids with frequent sleepovers with the trundle.

Love the color and rustic look of this twin trundle. Sadly, after a year the bed frame broke.

Very cute bed, but it has now broken in two places after less than 3 years of normal use by a toddler. One of the slats broke and the trundle side slat cracked. Doesn’t hold up to normal wear and tear from lightweight toddler children.

Questions & Answers

Yes, both beds will take a regular twin size mattress.

Does this wood "off-gas" much has anyone noticed?
We have found our products typically need an "off gassing" period of 1-3 days.

Why did you choose this product?
It seemed the perfect bed for our daughter, whimsical but not too childish. A bed she can have for the next 10 years easily, and not outgrow too fast. Also the reviews were very good.

The trundle does not pop up, it stays the same height when rolled out.

Can the trundle bed pulled out from either side of the bed? There are two different answers to this question, and I can't use the trundle if it can't be used for the side opposite of the picture.
The trundle can be used on either side, but has to be pulled out on the side it is installed on.

What is the weight limit for this bed? Wondering if a larger teenager can safely use it. Also, are there wheels on the trundle so make it easier to pull out?
The weight limit for this bed is 165 pounds and yes there are wheels on the trundle

The weight limit is 165lbs. If your child falls within the recommended limit then it is safe for them to use. Yes, all trundles have caster wheels.

With the trundle ALL the way out, the entire width is 42"? That doesn't seem right...and thanks for answering! :)
We apologize for the confusion, the overall width is 82-inches.

What is the full width with trundle bed extended? Can it be used partially extended? Trying to fit two of them in a room!
The full width is 42 inches. You would only have half the bed exposed. Yes, it can be but it is not recommended.

What size thickness mattress would work the best for the top/regular bed (not the trundle bed)? Would 10 inches be too thick and look strange against the headboard?
8" max for mattress thickness.

Hi. Can the trundle be "installed" to open from the left or the right of the headboard?
I don't believe so. There is a piece of wood that prevents the trundle portion from going thru to the other side.

Is there a guard rail that could be added to this bed?
The top bed works like any standard single bed. Any bedside rail you could install in a standard bed should work here. Of course if it's a rail that rests on the floor, you would have to pull the trundle all the way out (or push all the way in) before use.

Twin

A Twin bed also referred to as a single bed is one of the smallest bed in the market with a dimension of 38’’ by 75’’. Its compact size makes it ideal for single sleepers may it be children or an adult living in a small space such as a studio apartment. It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Off-White

When choosing a bed color you should always take into consideration what color psychology has to say about sleep. For example with an Off-white bed, you should know that Off-white is a sleep conducive color that can be used to promote a positive energy flow. Comparing Off-white with White you will definitely note that Off-white is not as bright as White and as a result it does not stimulate unwanted excitement at a time when you should be calm, plus off-white is all about complementing your bedroom décor rather than contrasting. Since contrasting is all about stimulating your brain and keeping you awake. Off-white is a natural soft color that’s not overly stimulating or overly pigmented and that’s why I would suggest choosing an off-white bed especially if you have a dull bedroom since this color will bring liveliness into your bedroom.

White

A white bed is definitely a show stopper, it’s plain and simple. Despite people referring to white as lack of other colors, a white bed makes quite a statement. It gives your bedroom space a more open and timeless feel, while allowing your bedroom décor to standout even more clearly. A bed with a pure shade of white energizes your entire space giving it a vibrant new look, giving you the illusion of a more light within your bedroom. What makes a white bed a favorite for many is the fact that white as a color creates a relaxing sleep environment. And as you know choosing the right color is very important, since color is like magic and can influence your state of mind and emotions. If there is one thing you should do right is get yourself a white bed and enjoy every single moment you spend in your bedroom.

Kids

The home is the training ground for children. It's where they learn and cultivate their values and character. So as a parent or a guardian, you play a big role in who they will become. Allow them to be themselves, to explore what they like, and to play with their imagination. Actually, you can start with their bedroom. How? Ask them what wall color they like. If you have an extra budget for a custom-made bed, ask your little one how he would like for it to look like. A car? A train? A spaceship? A dollhouse? Or if you can, build the bed yourself! It can be a great bonding time for you and your kids.

A kid's bed can also be space-saving with its built-in drawers, which can be a way to tidy up their toys and books. Beds with bedside table, where your child(ren) can study and play with papers and crayons, are also available in the market. Of course, kids love to play. Make bedtime fun with tent beds, beds with slide, and house-shaped kids' beds! Surely, your youngster will enjoy both his waking and sleeping hours.

Regular

Nowadays, there are many bed frames that spring up from here and there, making it somewhat confusing and difficult to choose. One of them is the traditional regular bed.

A bit similar to a platform bed, a regular bed also consists of a bed frame, mostly metal, and a mattress. However, for this type, a box spring is needed underneath the mattress since a regular traditional frame doesn't have slats to provide enough support for the mattress. In addition, a box spring is a bed base comprises of a wooden frame containing metal grid or springs and wrapped in fabric. Because of the box spring, a regular bed is usually higher than a platform bed, making it gentler for your knees and reducing the risk of injury. The mattress on a regular bed, moreover, can last long since the base helps distribute your body weight evenly, protecting it from shock and being saggy. Old-fashioned yet a tried-and-true piece, you can never go wrong with regular beds.

Trundle Bed Included

Are you looking for a way to add an extra sleeping space to your home? Do you have limited space to work with? A trundle bed is the ideal solution for you; perfect for siblings that share a room or for kid’s sleepovers, a trundle bed provides an extra sleep space while maintaining the integrity of your current space limitations. The trundle bed that is included with the (day/twin/twin over twin bunk) bed is constructed of solid, sturdy wood, and provides two/three sleeping areas while saving space. The included trundle bed is practical, convenient and assembles easily. The pullout trundle feature offers an easy and hassle-free way to add an extra bed to your home while maintaining space; it easily retracts under the bottom day/twin bed when not in use. A trundle bed is the ideal solution to increase your home’s available sleeping areas while maintaining a beautiful bedroom. Assembly is required but simple.

Single Material

When you need to kick back and unwind on your own, you need a single-material bed. Single-material beds are an excellent choice for anyone that likes simplicity and practicality. Without combining materials, you get a clean and uniform looking bed that will match any bedroom. The con of a single-material bed is that they won’t stand out as much as other beds, but this can also be a pro as well, as it means they’ll easily blend into any room and not take attention away from other features that are nearby. The single-material is recommended if you’re after a bed for a minimalist setting, something that looks very simple and neutral - then you’re going to be satisfied by the single-material bed. Single-material beds also look great when you have two separate beds in the same room - the single-material look really gives the room a strong, matching and consistent appearance.

Wood

A wooden bed is a very popular choice especially when you are out buying a bed for your kids as they come with a number of advantages. Such as: wooden beds are known to be long lasting. At one point in life most of us have slept in a wooden bed, plus wooden beds can be traced back in history to our Tudor ancestors. If you opt to get you kid a bed of his or her own a wooden bed is always the best choice, since they are much easier to clean and maintain since its common knowledge how messy a child’s bedroom become. What makes a wooden bed the perfect choice for your child’s bedroom is its ability to withstand everything your child throws at it. This is because wooden beds are known to be sturdy and robust no matter the environment they are in.

A bed can be referred as a piece of furniture which is used as a place to fall asleep and relax. Beds come in different sizes ranging from infant-sized cribs to small beds that can just accommodate one person, to large king and queen sized beds designed for two or more people.
