This bed is really great for kids who want a "fun" room. My 8 year old was so excited to have his "own couch" in his room. The directions were slightly off, but it was easy to put together. I am impressed with the quality for the low price. I remember having the same set up as a teen, and how comfortable it was. My best recommendation is to splurge a little on the futon mattress, as with a thin one you will feel the bars. The top is a standard twin mattress so it can fit any twin mattress. This bed, once put together, is very sturdy, comfortable and functional. It is easy to transition the lowe bunk form futon couch to flat "bed". We have now had this bed for 6 months and I don't intend to get rid of it.

It looks just like the picture, assembly wasn't hard. I just wished it was more durable so that adults can sleep in it as well. We had to add reinforcements.

I do love the bed. Challenge was the directions where a bit difficult to understand and I think it must have been a display model as it had scratches on it as well as you could see where the holes for the screws had been used before..

I guess I would recommend this to someone if they were looking for a cheaply made bunk bed. I'm disappointed that when I picked up the bed at my local home depot store, the boxes where pretty damaged. The front desk clerk didn't seem to care about my concerns that the bed would be damaged as well. "Shockingly" (not shocked at all) the bed was damaged, when we pulled it out of the box to set it up, scratched up all over the blue paint. There are even areas of rust in some of the scratches. The frame itself it a lot more flimsy then they make it seem. The bed shakes, a lot, and everything has been tightened as much as it possibly can.

I bought this bunk bed. Packing was not good, due to that paint was off from so many places. Thanks to home depot they gave me the discount because i did not want to go thought the packing and shipping hassle. I don't not have anyone to help me for that., it is quite heavy. I bought this bed after reading the Q&A that it comes with a futon mattress which i did not get. Home depot called the ACME, they were saying that it does not comes with a futon mattress. Very disappointed.

First when I picked it up (because they wouldn’t deliver) the box was ripped up with holes in it and battered. Opened up the box to find scratches on the metal bars, bent mis-shaped metal pieces to the futon, and zero instructions on how to put it together. None. Had to find a YouTube video which also had zero specific instructions. Did not tell you which screws went where and had many extra random pieces. Was a nightmare to put it together and definitely needs more than 2 people to do it. Absolutely not worth the $340 I bought it for.

Full / Double

A Full / Double bed is a bed meant for couples to share, however with the emergence of so many size options full-double beds are now mainly meant for single sleepers. Back in the 1940s a couple would perfectly fit and enjoy a full double bed, in fact you might have seen one in those 90s movies a classic full-double bed with a nightstand next to it and an old black and white TV on the wall. In modern day, full-double beds are still very popular, mainly among the younger generation who are not married yet and desire a little bit of comfort. Full-double beds fell out of favor of many couple with the introduction of king and queen size beds in to the markets. But despite that a full-double bed is still an excellent choice for single adults with limited space but still desire a bigger bed.

Queen

A Queen Size bed is usually 60 inches by 80 inches. It’s a very popular bed as it ideal for various kind of lifestyle, it can suit a wide range of sleepers such as single sleepers looking for a luxurious bed or couple who are shopping on a budget. A queen size bed can fit in most bedrooms making it ideal for couples who want to share a bed plus also its affordability. The Queen Size bed has different variations in case you need a size larger than a normal queen bed but smaller than a king sized bed. These variations include an Olympic queen sized bed which has 6 extra inches on its width and a California queen which has 4 extra inches in length. A queen size bed will fit perfectly well in large bedrooms and smaller bedrooms.

Twin

A Twin bed also referred to as a single bed is one of the smallest bed in the market with a dimension of 38’’ by 75’’. Its compact size makes it ideal for single sleepers may it be children or an adult living in a small space such as a studio apartment. It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Twin XL

A twin xl bed is a 38 inches wide by 80 inches long bed that is usually best suited for single sleepers who are more than 6 feet tall, mainly growing children or teens who are likely to exceed 6 feet eventually. There are many benefits that are usually associated with having a twin-xl bed such as flexibility and versatility. Twin-xl bed offers a sleeper with more room for flexibility. A twin-xl bed is also ideal for growing children who have outgrown their baby cribs as it will be a while before they outgrow a twin-xl bed. It can also be used by a single adult sleeper especially if you are looking to save on space, as long as you are not that tall. A twin-xl bed has its own economic benefit especially if you are trying to save some money when furnishing your kids room, as it is usually not such a big investment.

Black

When trying to open up a smaller bedroom most people often think about bright colors with light hues, but also there is a stronger advantage for going darker and there is no better way to do that than with a black bed. Black is known to amplify small spaces and also set the right mood in your bedroom space. A black colored bed makes your bedroom fell more intimate and special in ways that you could have never imagined before, something that you would never achieve with any of those bright colors. There is nothing as important as setting the right mood in your bedroom especially if you are a couple since it’s the base of your relationship romantically. A black bed adds a touch of intrigue but still blends right into the bedroom décor colors creating a timeless look.

Blue

A Blue bed creates a soothing soft feeling each time you walk into your bedroom. Just like a breath of fresh air it adds a dreamy feeling and a ton of versatility making it one of the best go to bed colors. In fact blue is one of the best color for sleep as it is very calming. One of the best thing you can do is get yourself a blue bed, according to a recent study an individual with a blue bed or bedroom slept for an approximate of 8 hours. This show cases how good the blue color is since even an average person doesn’t even get 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep. As if that is not good enough 60 percent of people who sleep on a blue bed or bedroom are likely to wake up each morning very happy, after all who wouldn’t after such a great sleep.

Green

A Green bed strikes a balance between the different colors you can find in a bedroom creating a more sophisticated and modern feel. Getting yourself a Green bed is one good way of adding some funk into your bedroom environment. Green also looks great on an antique or vintage bed especially if you are someone who is in love with nature. And in case you are in love with nature don’t let anyone stop you from living your green dream, go and get yourself a breathtaking green bed, and create a green paradise in your bedroom. Bringing in a Green bed in to a boring bedroom space spices up everything making your bedroom space look happier. If you intend to convert your whole bedroom into green it’s always good to start with baby steps, and no better way to do that than by getting yourself a green bed.

Purple

When it comes to decorating your bedroom with a purple bed it seems to stir up some strong emotions. It might not be a common primary decorating color but a purple bed is mainly used as an over-the top feminine flouncy decoration. When done right, a purple bed can make your bedroom quite sophisticated and even more contemporary such that it’s more appealing to both genders female and male. If you intend to go all in with purple as your primary bedroom color a purple bed would be a great way to start. Purple brings about a fresh vibe that’s not overwhelming, hence creating a glamorous bedroom that not only looks sophisticated but also luxurious. Sometime a little bit of purple might not be enough, you might want to spice up everything by choosing a purple throw pillow as well.

Silver

Sliver is a monochromatic color that creates a clean and elegant bedroom space. A silver colored bed goes perfectly well with a wooden flooring or any other dark wooden furniture in your bedroom. It’s also mainly used in bedrooms with bright blue accent walls to create a perfect environment for to relax after a long day’s work. To many people, silver is still considered a luxurious color and as a result a silver bed is definitely a representation luxury. Silver also has sleep inducing characteristics that will help you get more sleep, on average you are likely to get 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. A silver colored bedroom on the other hand doesn’t look boring or washed up, but instead it creates an amazing bedroom with a lot of depth without even considering the contrasting colors.

White

A white bed is definitely a show stopper, it’s plain and simple. Despite people referring to white as lack of other colors, a white bed makes quite a statement. It gives your bedroom space a more open and timeless feel, while allowing your bedroom décor to standout even more clearly. A bed with a pure shade of white energizes your entire space giving it a vibrant new look, giving you the illusion of a more light within your bedroom. What makes a white bed a favorite for many is the fact that white as a color creates a relaxing sleep environment. And as you know choosing the right color is very important, since color is like magic and can influence your state of mind and emotions. If there is one thing you should do right is get yourself a white bed and enjoy every single moment you spend in your bedroom.

Bunk Loft

Sometimes, bunk beds and loft beds are often being used interchangeably. Don't fall for it. These two bed types have a difference. Yes, you may notice that they both have a ladder. However, a bunk bed has at least two beds stacked on top of each other and a loft bed, though a double-level bed as well, is only a single bed. Bunk beds are commonly seen in hostels, military camps, and dormitories. In addition, some of this kind come with a trundle or pull-out bed that can accommodate one more person.

On the other hand, loft beds allow you to use the space beneath your bed as a study or work area or as a closet. If the time will come when you decide that you don't need a bunk bed anymore, don't worry, you can convert it to a loft bed. Simply and carefully remove the bottom bunk. Depending on your needs, both bunk and loft beds are space-saving.

Kids

The home is the training ground for children. It's where they learn and cultivate their values and character. So as a parent or a guardian, you play a big role in who they will become. Allow them to be themselves, to explore what they like, and to play with their imagination. Actually, you can start with their bedroom. How? Ask them what wall color they like. If you have an extra budget for a custom-made bed, ask your little one how he would like for it to look like. A car? A train? A spaceship? A dollhouse? Or if you can, build the bed yourself! It can be a great bonding time for you and your kids.

A kid's bed can also be space-saving with its built-in drawers, which can be a way to tidy up their toys and books. Beds with bedside table, where your child(ren) can study and play with papers and crayons, are also available in the market. Of course, kids love to play. Make bedtime fun with tent beds, beds with slide, and house-shaped kids' beds! Surely, your youngster will enjoy both his waking and sleeping hours.

Slat

A good bed must always have a strong base. The slat bed design is a type of base made for a bed. They are a series of connected bars that lie across the width of the frame. The designs offer great support for the mattress, hence providing good support to your back when sleeping and allows good ventilation to the mattress. Good ventilation for the mattress keeps them cleaner and more hygienic. The slats are made from strong wood ensuring the durability of your bed. These bases provide good firm support and are a simple and cheaper option. The slatted design comes in two designs to choose from. You can choose from two types of slats - solid slats or sprung slats. They also offer a good leveling of your mattress, allowing it to last longer.
