Great, solid metal beds. We purchased these for our sons. Assembly was easy! The mattress sits about an inch lower into the slats, so the mattress won't slide off like other platform beds. Well worth the price!

Good enough of a bed. If you're like me and thinking about following the "you don't need a boxspring" note on this product, don't. You definitely need one. My mattress in the guest room is thick but without the box spring, the bed is so uncomfortable now. Also, if you have wood flooring, you'll need a rug otherwise it'll slide around the house lol.

Really my only complaint is that it is about 7inches too long for a queen mattress. Other than that it is sturdy and I had no issues with any of the pieces that it came with. I have had it for almost a year now and it has held up well.

Tools hurt hands when putting together screws, the frame is 1-2 inches bigger than a regular twin size mattress. Recommend getting a twin xl for a better fit.

We are still going to use the frame, but we will have to do some work on it because it’s about 8 inches longer then a standard king mattress. We plan to give it a wooden step on the bottom with some extra hardwoods we have left over, but it’s really disappointing. Especially since it took VERY long to put together.

First of all I waited longer then I was told, it was a birthday gift. It came later and was disappointed. Also I need to return, I ordered a full size frame. The frame was larger then the mattress, causing to stick out and easy to bump your leg. There are pieces missing as well. I don’t recommend.

The bars are not even. And is bigger than a queen mattress so it sticks out and bumps your toes and knees.

I don't know what these frames are made of but its not a metal. With regular use, they last less about 6 months. The bars start to bend. With rambunchest kids, forget it, about a month. I bought 4 because I just moved. My eldest who is hardly home he's 26, the bed lasted 6 months. My 7, 10, 16 year old's, not much more than a month. And the 16 year is just moody and sits on it a lot. If the younger children broke the beds, i would have said they broke them by jumping on them and I wouldn't left a negative review. They're all boys and hard on stuff. But NO, these are not good. I've had bed frames from little furniture outlets last longer. These are really bad. Never seen a frame just bend. WOW I will not be buying from Wayfair again, this was the first time and the last time.

Easy to follow directions. No missing pieces. However after two years the legs are buckling and bending, cracking and falling apart. I weigh 148 lbs and its not because of extreme use. I never thought a metal frame could fall apart like this.

This was not a good purchase at all. I ended up having to buy another bed as this was super dangerous for my legsfeet. Every time I changed the sheets for this bed or did anything that required me to be close I stubbed my toes on the hard metal and scraped my leg on the sharp corners of the frame itself. I tried coverings for the legs and corner covers and did not help. Too many sharp edges for me.

I was very unsatisfied with this product. The product was on back order for a while. The rubber pieces and slates kept coming off. Had to replace and throw this item away. Money wasted.

Full / Double

A Full / Double bed is a bed meant for couples to share, however with the emergence of so many size options full-double beds are now mainly meant for single sleepers. Back in the 1940s a couple would perfectly fit and enjoy a full double bed, in fact you might have seen one in those 90s movies a classic full-double bed with a nightstand next to it and an old black and white TV on the wall. In modern day, full-double beds are still very popular, mainly among the younger generation who are not married yet and desire a little bit of comfort. Full-double beds fell out of favor of many couple with the introduction of king and queen size beds in to the markets. But despite that a full-double bed is still an excellent choice for single adults with limited space but still desire a bigger bed.

King

A king size bed is the largest standard bed that you will find in the market plus it measures 76 inches by 80 inches, making it a great and popular choice among couple. Single sleepers with the proper finances also enjoy the luxury and comfort of having a huge bed all to themselves. The King Size bed also comes in different variations which are the California size bed that’s 4 inches longer than a normal king size bed and 4 inches narrower, another variation is the California king size bed, the ideal choice if you are sharing your bed with someone who is more than 6 feet tall. If you are couple looking for a bed with extra comfort and space for the both of you I would highly recommend the King size bed as it’s a combination of unmatched comfort and luxury.

Queen

A Queen Size bed is usually 60 inches by 80 inches. It’s a very popular bed as it ideal for various kind of lifestyle, it can suit a wide range of sleepers such as single sleepers looking for a luxurious bed or couple who are shopping on a budget. A queen size bed can fit in most bedrooms making it ideal for couples who want to share a bed plus also its affordability. The Queen Size bed has different variations in case you need a size larger than a normal queen bed but smaller than a king sized bed. These variations include an Olympic queen sized bed which has 6 extra inches on its width and a California queen which has 4 extra inches in length. A queen size bed will fit perfectly well in large bedrooms and smaller bedrooms.

Twin

A Twin bed also referred to as a single bed is one of the smallest bed in the market with a dimension of 38’’ by 75’’. Its compact size makes it ideal for single sleepers may it be children or an adult living in a small space such as a studio apartment. It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Twin / Single

A twin-single bed are two, single beds that are bought and designed to be used together, they are mainly recommended for children or teens who share the same bedroom and don’t need that much space. The term twin-single originally came about as hotels were used to placing two single beds in the same room and hence the term “twin” single beds. Twin single beds makes good guests beds or bunk beds, especially if you are trying to maximize on a small bedroom space, twin single beds are usually a good option for narrow bedrooms and if you have kids who are sharing the same bedroom. Twin-single beds allows each child to have their own bed without the room feeling too cramped up. They are usually an ideal choice especially for children who have out grown their cribs.

Black

When trying to open up a smaller bedroom most people often think about bright colors with light hues, but also there is a stronger advantage for going darker and there is no better way to do that than with a black bed. Black is known to amplify small spaces and also set the right mood in your bedroom space. A black colored bed makes your bedroom fell more intimate and special in ways that you could have never imagined before, something that you would never achieve with any of those bright colors. There is nothing as important as setting the right mood in your bedroom especially if you are a couple since it’s the base of your relationship romantically. A black bed adds a touch of intrigue but still blends right into the bedroom décor colors creating a timeless look.

Kids

The home is the training ground for children. It's where they learn and cultivate their values and character. So as a parent or a guardian, you play a big role in who they will become. Allow them to be themselves, to explore what they like, and to play with their imagination. Actually, you can start with their bedroom. How? Ask them what wall color they like. If you have an extra budget for a custom-made bed, ask your little one how he would like for it to look like. A car? A train? A spaceship? A dollhouse? Or if you can, build the bed yourself! It can be a great bonding time for you and your kids.

A kid's bed can also be space-saving with its built-in drawers, which can be a way to tidy up their toys and books. Beds with bedside table, where your child(ren) can study and play with papers and crayons, are also available in the market. Of course, kids love to play. Make bedtime fun with tent beds, beds with slide, and house-shaped kids' beds! Surely, your youngster will enjoy both his waking and sleeping hours.

Platform

You may be looking for a bed that is timeless and cost-effective and maybe your life quote is "simplicity is beauty," then you can swear by platform beds. A platform bed is a simple bed frame that has a solid foundation capable to hold any type of mattress without the need of a box spring. It also comes with built-in slats to allow airflow and breathability. And since box springs are unnecessary, you can save money if you decide to buy a new mattress.

Though simple, it doesn't mean that this type of bed is boring. Platform beds come from various materials, such wood, metal, and fiberboard. You may even have them upholstered for an added classic touch! Ideal for all ages, they are also available in different sizes: twin, full, queen, and king. Interestingly, platform beds are great for storing extra stuff since many of them come with drawers and headboard shelving, perfect for keeping your bedroom tidy.

Heavy Duty Squeak Resistant

We all look for beds that don’t squeak, for better, noise free peaceful slumber at night. This includes everyone else in the family that sleeps under same roof. Kids move around a lot while they sleep or doing some other activities, so as parents being able to sleep without hearing the creak every time they move around the bed. Beds that don’t squeak are made from solid wood materials. These types of materials are stronger, well-built and less inclined to produce small noises. The reason behind the squeaky bed is that the frame is loose so the side rails and headboard are rubbing against each other.

Solid wood frames are made from the materials like mahogany, oak, rubber wood, teak and bamboo. Solid wood platform beds do not squeak as well as it is good for your back. The bed frame by lucid features is a sturdy wood construction which helps get rid of creaking noise.

Metal

One of the most asked question when it comes metallic beds is, are they safe for younger children? And the answer is always, yes they are. One of reason to why metal beds have grown in popularity over the last couple of years is the fact that they require less maintenance since as we all know metal does not dent or scratch easily making it even a more attractive option as compared to wooden and plastic beds. When it comes to durability also metal beds are currently the most durable beds in the market more durable than the wooden beds and would even handle more weight than a wooden bed frame. Metal beds are also highly portable since they are lighter than other types of bed, and in case you are the kind of person who love rearranging their bedroom setup you will definitely love the metal bed.

Single Material

When you need to kick back and unwind on your own, you need a single-material bed. Single-material beds are an excellent choice for anyone that likes simplicity and practicality. Without combining materials, you get a clean and uniform looking bed that will match any bedroom. The con of a single-material bed is that they won’t stand out as much as other beds, but this can also be a pro as well, as it means they’ll easily blend into any room and not take attention away from other features that are nearby. The single-material is recommended if you’re after a bed for a minimalist setting, something that looks very simple and neutral - then you’re going to be satisfied by the single-material bed. Single-material beds also look great when you have two separate beds in the same room - the single-material look really gives the room a strong, matching and consistent appearance.

Steel

Unlike other kind of metallic beds a steel bed is entirely susceptible to developing rust. A steel bed is usually a simple, elegant bedroom furniture, plus no matter your bedroom style a steel bed will complement your style may it be modern, vintage, contemporary, etc. A steel bed design will make your bedroom look even more stylish and chic, and not forget with a steel bed you can easily change the color to match that of your bedroom walls. Steel beds are popular in kids bedroom since many kid’s bedroom usually have a pop of many different colors making a steel bed the perfect fit due to its brightness. Before buying that steel bed make sure its genuine steel since steel is known for its good quality and a good quality steel bed will definitely serve you for years. A steel bed will definitely be a perfect choice for your bedroom.

Bed Frames

Bed frames also known as bed steads are terms used to describe the support your mattress rests upon. It’s that part of your bed that holds up your mattress from the floor. A bed frame is one of the most overlooked part of a bed when making a bed purchase as most people tend to focus on the mattress alone, however, it’s good to note that bedframes play a crucial role when it comes to the comfort of your bed. The right bed frame provides you with enough comfort and support despite the type of mattress you are sleeping on, so if you have a bed that’s squeaking, sagging, or unstable the problem is usually your bed frame. As we all know a good night sleep starts with a solid foundation, a bedframe will impact the quality of sleep you get, a bed frame will even cause back pains and aches.

Beds

A bed can be referred as a piece of furniture which is used as a place to fall asleep and relax. In this modern age beds consist of a soft cushioned mattress and a bed frame, the mattress is usually resting on a sprung base, solid base, or a wood slats. Beds come in different sizes ranging from infant-sized cribs to small beds that can just accommodate one person, to large king and queen sized beds designed for two or more people. Most bed are usually a single mattress and a fixed frame, however there are other varieties such as a sofa bed, which folds out of a sofa or a murphy bed that folds in to a wall. Other beds can be referred as temporary beds as they contain neither a bedframe nor a mattress, a good example is the inflatable air mattress or the folding camp cot.
