Table is well made and is very sturdy! We purchased them to paint and it was a very easy process. They are perfect to seat 4 people comfortably, but we had used them for as many as 6 people.

Skinny kitchen nook? This is your table. It snuggles up to the wall and the bench tucks in nicely underneath but you have lots of seating area when utilized. Can be used with built in bench and trestle stool opposite and has small footprint when not in use.

I bought the table and 2 matching benches separately to make them a set for my small beach house. I like the fact that it is solid wood. Clean, simple, and cute. I gave a 4-star because the screws were hard to get in. My boyfriend had one stuck while assembling the table and I encountered the same problem with one of the benches. We both had to replace it with a different screw to complete the assembly. In spite of this problem, I would still purchase them items again. The next test will be durability.

I would love to give this 5 stars, but I won't. Two of the pilot holes were not drilled deeply enough, and quite frankly, I don't have the hand strength to fight with screwing screws into a wood table. So, it took me four days to assemble the legs simply because (a) I lack adequate hand strength, and (b) I had to wait hours in between getting one or two twists on the screw so that the wood would relax and I could get another moment with the table legs. Phew! It took moments to finish assembly once I struggled through that step. Instructions were clear, and if I had trusted that I wouldn't ruin the table using a drill to inset the screws, I might have done that. However, I didn't trust that this table's materials would withstand the stress. Have someone under the age of 60 help you with those screws. Otherwise, it's easily assembled, but I doubt I would sit on the table itself. It'll serve its purpose, and that's the point of the purchase.

I knew that I was buying a cheap table. But the table was of even cheaper quality than I expected. Overall, the assembly was fairly easy. My one other gripe is that the table top came split.

Questions & Answers

What is the distance from the narrow end of the table to the trestle leg? I'm trying to determine whether a chair can fit under the narrow ends of the table and whether a person comfortably sit at the narrow ends of the table.
The distance to the narrow end of the table to the trestle leg is 29" high by 27" from leg to leg. I am using a 18" high seat chair by 17". Hopefully this help you. Have a great day.
