This is my first time purchasing bedroom furniture on line. So I was a little nervous about the quality and sturdiness of the furniture. I have to say this was above my expectations. Very good quality and very solid. The whole process from the initial purchase to the delivery was very easy. Even using Handy to get someone to setup the bed for me was easy too. I was very impress with Wayfair.

Big and beautiful! Extremely easy to assemble. I thought, from the online pictures, that the grillwork on the headboard would be metal, it is cut-out work - but nicely done!

Possibly one of the ugliest beds ever. The description is wrong (and also used for another bed from same company with same picture). There is NO metal detail. What was described earlier as "metal" is some sort of composite wood covered in a plastic-feeling dark gold paint with several thick spots. This paint description was used in other products recommended to complete a bedroom "look." The two golds are 180-degrees apart in color and level of warmth. The bed's color description is listed as "espresso" but the box was labelled "dark cherry." Nightstands described as "espresso" were ordered to complete this horror and arrived earlier than the bed. So now there is a king "dark cherry" bed which should have coordinated with the nightstands. FYI side note: damages to the nightstands were found immediately after unboxing. Assembly hardware was missing as well. Also, it requires a box spring. I had already purchased a 'mattress in a box' that didn't require a box spring. I knew I would have to add an unnecessary box spring but thought the quality of the piece would justify the waste of money. I was wrong.Best recommendation: do not order this item. My wife tried to guide me away from this piece because of the practical (we didn't want nor had a box spring) and aesthetic (wasn't looking for dark wood pieces) but gave up and agreed to the purchase. The day it arrived, she literally slept on a tile floor to avoid it. She describes it as "Herman Munster goes to a Wild West brothel." I didn't pay attention to fake leather upholstery and ugly nail heads on this model compared to similar ones. They don't show up in the website pictures but the ugly vinyl and plastic nails are very obvious in person.Bottom line: Wayfair's color description was not accurate compared to box label. Wayfair's answer endorsing the detailing as metal was false. The required assembly hardware is missing. Various beds have the same pictures and descriptions so you have twice the chance to buy an ugly bed. On the plus side, it is a large bed so when your wife sleeps on the floor, you can stretch out.

Beds

A bed can be referred as a piece of furniture which is used as a place to fall asleep and relax. In this modern age beds consist of a soft cushioned mattress and a bed frame, the mattress is usually resting on a sprung base, solid base, or a wood slats. Beds come in different sizes ranging from infant-sized cribs to small beds that can just accommodate one person, to large king and queen sized beds designed for two or more people. Most bed are usually a single mattress and a fixed frame, however there are other varieties such as a sofa bed, which folds out of a sofa or a murphy bed that folds in to a wall. Other beds can be referred as temporary beds as they contain neither a bedframe nor a mattress, a good example is the inflatable air mattress or the folding camp cot.

Espresso Wood

When talking about coffees, espresso is the strong black one. In furniture and woods, it is actually somewhat similar to that. Espresso is a deep, dark brown color, so dark that it is sometimes mistaken to be jet black when, in fact, it stands between the two colors. If you want your bed to look elegant, go for espresso wood. It will also appear neat because dark color can magically tuck away dirt and dust. When under direct lighting, espresso gives out red hues. Cabinets, tables, and shelves that are in espresso sell more than those in light colors because many people opt for a traditional and classic look. Because of its neutral color, espresso is very versatile. It can go well with any home color scheme and design style. Since it's not black and definitely not a bright color, espresso can be pleasing and gentle to the feeling and to the eyes. It can also make you feel relaxed because of its soothing and coffee-like color, perfect after a long day at work.

Espresso may also be your favorite drink! You will definitely wake up feeling energized just by seeing your bed.

Red Wood

Red-wood is considered one of the most beautiful wood undertones in the furniture market, now imagine transferring all that beauty into your bedroom. The red-wood tone creates a visually stunning bed, that’s extremely durable, and weather resistant as well as termite resistant. A red-wood bed is the best quality bed in the market as it is even reluctant to decay and shrink as it ages with time. As other wood tones are likely to start to crack and turn brittle within the first three to five years, while the red-wood is capable of retaining its moisture and staying vibrant for more than fifteen years. However, despite everything a red-wood bed requires extra care as compared to other wood-tones as it is prone to denting, from the slightest impact. Also don’t forget it’s fairly expensive, if you are an owner of one, it’s good to note that when making your own adjustments always use stainless steel fasteners, since using cheaper fasteners you are likely to stain the wood.
