Very good looking bed. Seems pretty sturdy. Packaging was a bit torn up but everything inside was OK. Arrives in 2 boxes and they were delivered together. I took a star away because the assembly directions are minimal and really need a redo. Im an old lady, so I took my time to figure the steps out and enlisted a helper for strength a couple of times. It went pretty smoothly. My tips Wear gloves to deal with the enclosed Allen wrench. My hands were pretty sore by the last step. Velvet side up on the side rails. Careful you have the legs on the footboard going in the right direction before you tighten everything. Good luck.

My partner and I purchased this bed. It is absolutely beautiful, however the directions to build the bed was unclear and it took longer than expected. It was a little difficult to place the wooden pieces under the bed during construction. This is the only reason I would give it 4/5 stars!**Also, you should place the bed exactly where you want it and then build it, my partner and I built it and wanted to move it a few foot away from the original placement. The bed frame came apart (side panel and wooden pieces) and we had to partially rebuild it again after movement!

There are different types of fabric-upholstered bed depending on the textile used and each of them has its distinct advantages and disadvantages. A linen-upholstered bed is breathable, easy to clean, and hypo-allergenic, but is prone to wrinkles and low stain-resistance. A velvet-upholstered bed is good for those with pets and can be dyed in rich colors, but high-maintenance and very expensive. A cotton-upholstered bed is abrasion-resistant and allows you to maintain a cool feeling, but not that stain-resistant and its fibers may weaken when directly exposed to sunlight. Hardwood woods are sourced from trees that have leaves and lose their leaves in the winter months. Types of hardwood trees include hickory, maple, oak, birch and cherry (among others). Wood from hardwood trees is usually harder and therefore more dense, as these trees tend to grow at a slower rate. Hardwood is ideal for use in indoor furniture crafting, as it is sturdy and durable. Most hardwood varieties are bright and beautiful in their natural tone/shade, but many take well to staining, finishes and paints.
