Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase but please check your measurements. It’s much higher than I realized especially with a 14” mattress. This heavy duty bed frame is sturdy and very easy to assemble but it takes two people at least for me.

Purchased this for my guest room. This frame is sturdy and is high enough to store boxes, storage bins, toys - whatever you may need to hide away. Since it is tall keep that in mind if purchasing a head or foot board.

Super easy to assemble! Light enough for one person to assemble and move around. I was able to get it up the stairs pretty easily. It feels very sturdy.

This bedframe is exactly what I needed for my queen latex mattress. It was easy to assemble and is, so far, quiet yet comfortable. I can fit plenty of storage boxes underneath, which is a bonus. In addition, there is a natural spring movement to the frame, which is helpful for, you know... a variety of situations... And no squeak!

This really was a win, win. We did not have to buy a heavy box spring and we are able to store large storage bins under the bed. I did buy an attachment to connect the headboard to the foundation.

Purchased this for the under-bed storage space and ease of assembly. All of the pieces fit together in the right way, and while one of the smaller welds could have been touched up ever so slightly, there were no significant issues. It's always a relief to not have to return bulky online purchases! My Sterlite 7.5 gal stacker boxes (about 13.25 inches in height) fit underneath with room to spare. I don't have a mattress on it yet, but it appears to be sturdy and not squeaky.

Questions & Answers

What does Smartbase mean? Do I need a boxspring with this frame?
This frame works fabulously without a box spring.

How do you attach a upholstered headboard? ??
Don't know if you could attach any headboard to it. Probably you'd want to put the headboard on the wall and push this frame up to it. I feel the beauty of this frame is the fact that you can fold it up and stick it in a closet when not in use. That said, you wouldn't be using a headboard and having to detach it all the time. If you're looking for a permanent set up, just buy a high leg frame that doesn't fold. You can get them anywhere.

Can I still my boxspring?
Yes. It's a bed frame like any other one except it folds up. Seems like it would put the mattress awfully high tho.

Is the width an exact 60 inches? I am needing to fit the frame in a tight space that only allows 59 inches. Would this frame work or is it too large? (I know the specs above say 60", I would just like a confirmation.)
Overstock needs to answer this. I can't cause it's in MI and I'm in TX. However, I would guess the measurement is accurate as all else about the description is true. It's a great frame if you want to fold it up and store it in a closet as I do. Folds to about the size of a card table. The ONLY issue I had was that I bought a queen frame and a queen inflatable mattress was FAR too small for it.

Does this bed frame squeak?
No, this bed frame does not squeak.

What is the weight capacity of this bed frame?
It will support approximately 1200 pounds.

Would a 12" mattress be too thick for this frame and make it too high up?
I think a 12 inch mattress would make this bed very very tall. I put a standard mattress on it and it is still quite tall, several inches taller than a regular box springs/mattress set on a regular frame. I love the storage space underneath this frame. It is used for company only and has gotten great reviews, but it is definitely taller than a normal bed.

Can the bed frame hold two people weighing a total of 350-400 pounds with out breaking? How strong is the frame?
Yes! This frame is superbly sturdy. My daughter (125 lbs) and my 6'5" son-in-law (250 lbs) were absolutely no stress on the frame. I wasn't concerned at all.
