I love this frame. It's extremely sturdy and has enough under-bed space to allow me to store my craft materials in 4 rolling containers. That's a tremendous plus in a small house with limited storage. The frame is a little longer than my full size mattress but that's not a problem. The bedspread actually covers it

Very sturdy and so easy to assemble. I did it myself in less than 15 minutes. I would buy this product again if I needed another. The height is good for under bed storage, however since I am using this as a platform bed without a box spring, I am going to use some bed risers to make it a bit higher so the mattress doesn't seem too low to the ground.

Super reasonable price and it looks good. I think it will last us a lifetime too - it’s really sturdy!!! I’m glad I bought this for sons room too because the ends of the bed are curved so you don’t have to worry about bumping into the frame and getting scraped.

We used this bed for years and it held up really well in between several moves! We only recently switched and bought a new bed from Overstock because we were looking for a headboard, but this really lasted and was an amazing buy for the price!

I need to know the width from the outside of the two middle legs. I have to get this inside an antique brass bed which has a funky frame. I only have 49-1/2 inches inside the rails and I'm not sure this will fit inside. Would you please tell me the width from the outside of the two legs that are not inset. Thank you.

It the frame split into 2 parts. Our house is over 100 years old and has very narrow stairs. We order another bed frame that came in 2 parts that are bolted together, so the 2 parts fit up the stairs. Thank you!
The Twin size is not split in two parts. Our Full, Queen, King are split into two halves.

Can I use this with a futon mattress?
It would certainly be sturdy enough for a futon mattress. I use fairly thin, firm mattress and then put a pillow top mattress pad on top for a little bit of cushioning.I am not that familiar with the thickness or support of a futon mattress but if you are comfortable on it the frame would definitely support it

I'm curious about attaching a headboard to this. I see in answers below that you can attach a headboard, with "additional brackets" not included. What types of brackets? Is this something easily obtained & done?
Headboard brackets are required for this frame. While we do not sell them separately, additional frame options are available that have them included. ITEM# 13032676, the DuraBed frame, would be an example.

Black

When trying to open up a smaller bedroom most people often think about bright colors with light hues, but also there is a stronger advantage for going darker and there is no better way to do that than with a black bed. Black is known to amplify small spaces and also set the right mood in your bedroom space. A black colored bed makes your bedroom fell more intimate and special in ways that you could have never imagined before, something that you would never achieve with any of those bright colors. There is nothing as important as setting the right mood in your bedroom especially if you are a couple since it’s the base of your relationship romantically. A black bed adds a touch of intrigue but still blends right into the bedroom décor colors creating a timeless look.

When your bedroom space is small storage can be the biggest challenge you will encounter. Your closet could be a solution but not big enough to pack so many clothes. Well, you may want to buy a bigger cabinet, but you don’t want to pack so many dressers and cabinets into your space that it feels clunky and crowded. Storage beds are a fantastic way to get more space without adding extra furniture, and a lot of them are so stylishly designed you almost don’t notice the drawers are there. This bed design offers a great way to make the most of the space in your room, giving you a place to stash clothes, bedding, and more inside or beneath your bed frame. The best storage beds feature spacious compartments that are easy to access, and with tons of styles to choose from. The most common options are shelves built into the headboard or drawers built into the frame below the mattress. Depending on the reason you want space, a storage bed provides easy access, but if you're storing items that you don't need to get to very often, you can opt for a spacious platform beneath the bed that can be accessed when you lift the mattress. Ultimately, your choice will come down to what's most convenient for you.

And as we all know finding the perfect bed for your bedroom can be an uphill task. However a memory-foam bed is usually the ultimate choice for everyone.

Metal

One of the most asked question when it comes metallic beds is, are they safe for younger children? And the answer is always, yes they are. One of reason to why metal beds have grown in popularity over the last couple of years is the fact that they require less maintenance since as we all know metal does not dent or scratch easily making it even a more attractive option as compared to wooden and plastic beds. When it comes to durability also metal beds are currently the most durable beds in the market more durable than the wooden beds and would even handle more weight than a wooden bed frame. Metal beds are also highly portable since they are lighter than other types of bed, and in case you are the kind of person who love rearranging their bedroom setup you will definitely love the metal bed.

Plastic

Plastic beds are very popular among families with a toddler. It’s usually low to the ground and perfectly fits a standard crib mattress. With plastic being pretty durable a plastic bed can last you for several years, especially if it’s your child bed. Unlike other beds plastic beds are really portable and you can easily move it around when you are rearranging your bedroom furniture. Plastic beds are usually very safe especially if you intend to get one for your child, as they have no rough edges or corners. Plastic beds are usually not tied to a specific theme making them ideal for younger children who are in the stage of self-discovery. Plastic bed also have a consumer friendly price as compared to some exotic wooden or metallic beds whose prices are usually on the higher side. For any parent looking for a bed for their young child I would definitely recommend a plastic bed.

Single Material

When you need to kick back and unwind on your own, you need a single-material bed. Single-material beds are an excellent choice for anyone that likes simplicity and practicality. Without combining materials, you get a clean and uniform looking bed that will match any bedroom. The con of a single-material bed is that they won’t stand out as much as other beds, but this can also be a pro as well, as it means they’ll easily blend into any room and not take attention away from other features that are nearby. The single-material is recommended if you’re after a bed for a minimalist setting, something that looks very simple and neutral - then you’re going to be satisfied by the single-material bed. Single-material beds also look great when you have two separate beds in the same room - the single-material look really gives the room a strong, matching and consistent appearance.

Steel beds are popular in kids bedroom since many kid’s bedroom usually have a pop of many different colors making a steel bed the perfect fit due to its brightness. Before buying that steel bed make sure its genuine steel since steel is known for its good quality and a good quality steel bed will definitely serve you for years. A steel bed will definitely be a perfect choice for your bedroom.

Industrial

Industrial style bedroom features a minimal, clutter free which gives a trendy look in the house. The design focuses on blending rough and raw materials with a clean décor. When designing the room you think of the space which should be open and airy and a showpiece relating to industry and fabrication. Over the stair top bedroom makes artwork the centrepiece. Clever inlets divide the bedside table with white bedding.

Futons and sofa cum beds are ideal for the industrial bedroom interior. Futons or sofa cum beds are used as a seating arrangement in the evening as well as sleeping and relaxing at night. They serve dual purpose and occupy less space to the bedroom and are also ideal for houses which do not have separate drawing area.

A frame bed is one of the beds which hold the mattresses. A frame bed can be made of wood or metal. It gives a modern and industrial look to the bedroom and gives a minimalistic touch to the bedroom.

Bed Frames

Bed frames also known as bed steads are terms used to describe the support your mattress rests upon. It’s that part of your bed that holds up your mattress from the floor. A bed frame is one of the most overlooked part of a bed when making a bed purchase as most people tend to focus on the mattress alone, however, it’s good to note that bedframes play a crucial role when it comes to the comfort of your bed. The right bed frame provides you with enough comfort and support despite the type of mattress you are sleeping on, so if you have a bed that’s squeaking, sagging, or unstable the problem is usually your bed frame. As we all know a good night sleep starts with a solid foundation, a bedframe will impact the quality of sleep you get, a bed frame will even cause back pains and aches.

Beds

A bed can be referred as a piece of furniture which is used as a place to fall asleep and relax. In this modern age beds consist of a soft cushioned mattress and a bed frame, the mattress is usually resting on a sprung base, solid base, or a wood slats. Beds come in different sizes ranging from infant-sized cribs to small beds that can just accommodate one person, to large king and queen sized beds designed for two or more people. Most bed are usually a single mattress and a fixed frame, however there are other varieties such as a sofa bed, which folds out of a sofa or a murphy bed that folds in to a wall. Other beds can be referred as temporary beds as they contain neither a bedframe nor a mattress, a good example is the inflatable air mattress or the folding camp cot.

Plastic

With an average of 5% usage increase per year, plastic or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) fabric is probably one of the most commonly used textile for bed upholstery in the world, proving its versatility. Also called as "vinyl," PVC is made from 57% chlorine (from salt) and 43% ethylene (from crude oil or sugar crops). You don't have to worry if a certain style is available; a plastic-upholstered bed has a wide variety of design and color choices, which means it looks good on any color scheme and theme. In addition, an everyday use is not a problem for this type of bed upholstery since plastic is designed to be stain-resistant and antimicrobial. It also has a promising strength, durability, and flexibility that can stand distortion and abrasion. Furthermore, many bed makers prefer PVC fabric because of its long lifespan and resistance to water and chemical, making it effortless to clean when your favorite drink spills over.
