I had to return the first table because the shipping box was damaged and the table top had small scratches and a ding from the shipping. The shipping box for the second table also arrived damaged, as you can see in the picture, but the table inside was almost perfect. It looks like the box was stood up vertically when it was shipped, and the box was not strong enough to handle that. I did see a small crack in the finish on one lower edge of the second table, but it was very small and difficult to see unless you know where to look, so I kept it. in my opinion, either a stronger shipping box needs to used or the shipping company (UPS was used to ship both tables) needs to be told to ship these tables with the box laying flat. This is a great table, looks and feels like solid hardwood, and the tempered glass insert makes it look more elegant. It is also not difficult to put together.
