I was looking for a platform bed that visually disappeared - nothing fancy, where the legs were at least slightly recessed so I wouldn't stub my toes, and where the sides, ends and corners of the bed were padded enough so I wouldn't beat up my shins when I banged into them (can you tell I tend to be clumsy?) This Hadwen platform bed fit the bill, and it was cheap, too. My son and daughter-in-law put it together in about 45 minutes, with very little trouble. The instructions are all illustrations - no words - so they were not difficult to follow. All parts were properly included, and all holes matched up perfectly. There were some extra washers, even. The carton in which the pieces were shipped is pretty heavy, so be prepared. I've been sleeping on the bed for just over a week. My mattress is 100% latex, nine inches thick, and I've slept very well, much better than on an 18" memory foam mattress that was on a traditional box spring.

bought it to match a dark linen headboard & goes very well at an unbeatable price. Simple to assemble & great looking. Bought a low-profile box spring to go with it because a regular one seemed a bit too high ( can also be used without any box spring)

I love the quality of my new platform bed, it was exactly what I was looking for in my small NY apartment. It was simple and easy to put together by myself, and took me about 45 minutes all together. Be careful when trying to move the bed around, however, because the wooden slats might easily fall out of the plastic holds. Annoying, but pretty simple to fix.

Easy to put together and has worked out very well. We like the low height and the fact that the room looks put together now. Because it's so low, we had to change the night tables, but we already had them so it wasn't an extra expense.

Love this frame! We have had it 2 years (it has been slept in regularly, not a guestroom bed) and it doesnt squeak, nothing has broken or diminished in any way. The external material still looks brand new. Great purchase!

The bed looks elegant, price is very reasonable and received within a week of purchase. It was packed well and took less than an hour for me and my wife to assemble. No additional tools needed except for the small wrench/tool that came with it. Will just need to see how long will it last... hopefully at least 2-3 years. My 5.5 years old can easily climb up and down without any issue with 10 inch thick mattress on it. I might buy another one from this company if it last 2 plus years.

I love the bed. It is very sturdy and easy to assemble. The only drawback is it is a little larger than the mattress so there is some extra room. We bought this in the queen size.

This bed seems very sturdy, I love the look and the material. Just what I was looking for. Not to high off the ground with my 10" memory foam mattress. Nice support boards. Difficult for one person to put together but not impossible. I did it in about an hour. They give you the tools you need.

I ordered this for my 16 year old son & he was able to put it together himself in a short amount of time. It looks very nice. I've read other reviews that complained about the mattress being smaller than the frame but I found once the bed was made with comforter tucked in all around like most platforms, it fits and looks very nice.

I really loved this frame fit perfectly, however the bed when we got it we couldn't finish putting it together because it was poorly made on the pre holes to put it together. I got a replacement, and was able to put it together but we only lasted one night because it broke from my husband side. It just tells me how cheap the wood is made. Don't recommended if your a big person.

Stay away from this bed if you are plus sized. I purchase this bed in hopes of getting something more modern for my room. I researched it and according to the specs I met the weight requirements along with those for my mattress. The wooden slabs kept falling out of the plastic pieces that hold them in place making it frustrating to sit on the side of the bed.One side of my bed collapsed on one side as I was turning over after further investigation I learned that the particle board split. I propped the bed and began looking for a new one. Shortly after the other side split the same way.

Full / Double

A Full / Double bed is a bed meant for couples to share, however with the emergence of so many size options full-double beds are now mainly meant for single sleepers. Back in the 1940s a couple would perfectly fit and enjoy a full double bed, in fact you might have seen one in those 90s movies a classic full-double bed with a nightstand next to it and an old black and white TV on the wall. In modern day, full-double beds are still very popular, mainly among the younger generation who are not married yet and desire a little bit of comfort. Full-double beds fell out of favor of many couple with the introduction of king and queen size beds in to the markets. But despite that a full-double bed is still an excellent choice for single adults with limited space but still desire a bigger bed.

Queen

A Queen Size bed is usually 60 inches by 80 inches. It’s a very popular bed as it ideal for various kind of lifestyle, it can suit a wide range of sleepers such as single sleepers looking for a luxurious bed or couple who are shopping on a budget. A queen size bed can fit in most bedrooms making it ideal for couples who want to share a bed plus also its affordability. The Queen Size bed has different variations in case you need a size larger than a normal queen bed but smaller than a king sized bed. These variations include an Olympic queen sized bed which has 6 extra inches on its width and a California queen which has 4 extra inches in length. A queen size bed will fit perfectly well in large bedrooms and smaller bedrooms.

Box Spring Not Required Platform

Platform beds do not require a box spring mattress, as they can support any mattress at all. This makes platform beds highly versatile beds that can be the main bed for a large family home, all the way to being the spare bed in a guest bedroom. The versatility of these beds makes them easy to use, and very easy to work into any bedroom. They can also provide a clean minimalist look, because there is no headboard sticking out and drawing attention. Platform beds are an excellent fit for anyone that wants their bed to be subtle and not draw too much attention. The box-spring-not-required-platform bed is easily customised to look exactly how you want, as there is no headboard dictating the overall style and look of the bed either. The platform bed is recommended for those times when you need a bed to fit into any bedroom setting and can be moved to another room at any time where it will also be a great fit.

Black

When trying to open up a smaller bedroom most people often think about bright colors with light hues, but also there is a stronger advantage for going darker and there is no better way to do that than with a black bed. Black is known to amplify small spaces and also set the right mood in your bedroom space. A black colored bed makes your bedroom fell more intimate and special in ways that you could have never imagined before, something that you would never achieve with any of those bright colors. There is nothing as important as setting the right mood in your bedroom especially if you are a couple since it’s the base of your relationship romantically. A black bed adds a touch of intrigue but still blends right into the bedroom décor colors creating a timeless look.

Brown

Even though brown is not the most obvious color to use when decorating your bedroom. A Brown bed’s warmth nook makes it worth incorporating in to your bedroom. And the fact that you would never expect to see a brown bed or bedroom décor makes it perfect for anyone who loves experimenting on colors and doesn’t like using playful pastels and bright neon’s. To avoid it from being swallowed into the dark bedroom interior, it’s recommended to be used in a bedroom with bright interior colors that bring about more lighting, which is a rich tone up especially to the brown bed and in the process creating another element intrigue. A brown bed is the only way to tone down a bright bedroom interior without having to repaint the walls.

Gray

Gray as a color can be somehow depressing and uninspiring especially in a darker bedroom, and as you already know sleeping in a gray bedroom is not as satisfying as sleeping in a brighter bedroom. Gray might not be as inviting as other colors but that doesn’t mean that a Gray bed is not a good choice for your bedroom. All you need to know before choosing a gray bed or any other no so bright colored bed is which bedroom décor is the best for that specific bed color. With a gray bed it can be really advantageous especially if you have an all-white bedroom since it will tone down the general look for your bedroom, creating some form of contrast. In case you have a bright bedroom and you wish to tone down I would definitely recommend for you a gray bed to help tone down your bedroom décor.

Platform

You may be looking for a bed that is timeless and cost-effective and maybe your life quote is "simplicity is beauty," then you can swear by platform beds. A platform bed is a simple bed frame that has a solid foundation capable to hold any type of mattress without the need of a box spring. It also comes with built-in slats to allow airflow and breathability. And since box springs are unnecessary, you can save money if you decide to buy a new mattress.

Though simple, it doesn't mean that this type of bed is boring. Platform beds come from various materials, such wood, metal, and fiberboard. You may even have them upholstered for an added classic touch! Ideal for all ages, they are also available in different sizes: twin, full, queen, and king. Interestingly, platform beds are great for storing extra stuff since many of them come with drawers and headboard shelving, perfect for keeping your bedroom tidy.

Modern, yet minimal, a low-profile bed frame will flawlessly upgrade your bedroom space. Assembly is required.

If you are looking to introduce a pop of different colors in your bedroom space then you should consider getting yourself a fabric bed as it perfectly fits and complement such an environment. However fabric beds also require a little bit of care as compared to other types of beds since they tend to collect dust at a higher rate especially if you leave in a dusty neighborhood.

Leather

Are you looking to improve or upgrade the aesthetic of your bedroom? One great way to do it is through a leather bed specifically designed to meet all your needs. Over the last decade leather beds have grown in popularity as they bring that luxurious, and contemporary styles into your bedroom. A leather bed also has the tendency to grab the attention of anyone as it acts as the focal point and in the process it enhances the ambience of your bedroom. Cleaning and taking care of a leather bed is very easy, for example when cleaning all you need is a wet cloth. Real leather beds are also very durable, and if your leather bed is made out of real leather you will not need to be concerned about longevity all it needs is proper maintenance and the leather bed will serve you for years.

Beds

A bed can be referred as a piece of furniture which is used as a place to fall asleep and relax. In this modern age beds consist of a soft cushioned mattress and a bed frame, the mattress is usually resting on a sprung base, solid base, or a wood slats. Beds come in different sizes ranging from infant-sized cribs to small beds that can just accommodate one person, to large king and queen sized beds designed for two or more people. Most bed are usually a single mattress and a fixed frame, however there are other varieties such as a sofa bed, which folds out of a sofa or a murphy bed that folds in to a wall. Other beds can be referred as temporary beds as they contain neither a bedframe nor a mattress, a good example is the inflatable air mattress or the folding camp cot.

Fabric

Fabric is commonly designed for everyday clothing, and, because of its quality, it can also be used for furniture upholstery. Light, simple, and versatile, fabric-upholstered beds can effortlessly match any interior design theme. They are durable and long-lasting. Fabrics are also soft and comfortable and can even make your bed stand out from the rest of your furnishings.

There are different types of fabric-upholstered bed depending on the textile used and each of them has its distinct advantages and disadvantages. A linen-upholstered bed is breathable, easy to clean, and hypo-allergenic, but is prone to wrinkles and low stain-resistance. A velvet-upholstered bed is good for those with pets and can be dyed in rich colors, but high-maintenance and very expensive. A cotton-upholstered bed is abrasion-resistant and allows you to maintain a cool feeling, but not that stain-resistant and its fibers may weaken when directly exposed to sunlight. A corduroy-upholstered bed is durable, low-maintenance, and inexpensive, but can be heavy. But, whichever type you choose, surely fabric can turn your bed into a comfortable one.

If you look after this faux-leather upholstery, it will last you a very long time - just keep it away from anything hot! A great choice for all bedroom settings. Keep it clean by just wiping it down with a warm cloth.
