This bed was for our 12 year old son. It look beautiful and rich in his updated teenage bedroom. He likes the tall headboard to rest against when reading at night.

This bed is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. It was a little time consuming to put together, but that is fine. When you move it, it does not have to be taken apart to the same level. It is great quality especially for the price point. Word of warning...the reviews that tell you you may hit your shins on the foot of the bed in the middle of the night are spot on. They seem to protrude just enough to get you on a regular basis. I would not, however, have gotten anything different.

I choose queen size of it, but it is not real queen size, and much longer. Even worse, it has no slatted bed base to support my mattress, so my bed tilted like the Titanic. It is a disaster.

Nice looking bed, but the assembly bolts and holes are awful. The top cap is floating on the headboard with a huge gap. I would skip this one! Update- after only two years, the frame supports cracked in half and the bed is unusable. I stick with my original suggestion of skipping this. The quality has been a problem from the beginning and now, this was a waste of money!

This is two shades darker than the picture on the website. The finish is mahogany not cherry. I hate it.

What is distance from the BOTTOM of the side rails to the floor. I want to know if I can use under-bed storage boxes.MJ
5¾" on the sides from bottom of wood rail to floor, allow for a bit more space if you have thick carpet, 3" of space at the bottom rail to floor.

How much does it weigh?
The weight depends on the size of the bed! It comes in four pieces which are manageable! The side rails are easy to handle. Putting the head board together was easy. Once the head board is together king bed is sturdy and heavy! Did not weigh the bed but around 80 pounds I would guess. The footboard around 45 lbs.

Hardwoods

Hardwood wood varieties refer to the type of tree the wood is taken from; it has nothing to do with how heavy or dense the wood is (contrary to popular belief!). Hardwood woods are sourced from trees that have leaves and lose their leaves in the winter months. Types of hardwood trees include hickory, maple, oak, birch and cherry (among others). Wood from hardwood trees is usually harder and therefore more dense, as these trees tend to grow at a slower rate. Hardwood is ideal for use in indoor furniture crafting, as it is sturdy and durable. Most hardwood varieties are bright and beautiful in their natural tone/shade, but many take well to staining, finishes and paints. The hardwood varieties offer a cozy, warm look and enrich your bedroom style. Hardwood bed frames are a great way to brighten your bedroom and enhance the overall look and feel of your sleep space!
