I put this in my son's old room so he and his wife could have the queen bottom and my grandson could have the top. My grandson (3) is thrilled by it. This was easy to put together and serves its purpose well.

This is a nice looking and solid piece of furniture and we were able to put it together quickly. The kids are able to make the frame wiggle back and forth more than I would like but it is solid. The box itself was quite large and took 2 people to manage.

Took a long time to deliver. I got this bed to serve as a guest bed and also for my grandkids when they stay over. My daughter-in-law and I put it together but we did have trouble getting the bolts tight so my son had to come over to tighten everything. The bed is only rated for 150 lbs on the bottom which is not enough for a guest bed so I thought I could order some additional supports. But, when I called, they said they do not sell additional parts. So we came up with the idea to cut down a couple of left over 4X4's and use a 4X4 base and strap to secure them to the bed. We haven't completed this yet and it will be an issue when trying to move the bed for guests to get in and out. We did use it over the holidays as is and it was fine without extra supports. My guests said they were very comfortable. (They only used the bottom bunk and their combined weight is well over 150 lbs.) But, still, I will add additional support for my piece of mind. Also, I used an 8 inch gel mattress on top and my D-I-L approved for use with the kids. They won't all out.

Nice bunk bed, but poorly designed / placed ladder! One reason for having such a bed, would be to place it squarely against a bedroom wall. Most kids bedrooms have shelving units, dressers, chests, and so on, that also take up wall space. The ladder should have been placed on the end, as it is now, but it should be as far forward as possible, to allow room for an adjacent chest or shelving unit!Because of the ladder placement, there is no way you could put a shelving unit, dresser, chest, or an other furniture directly adjacent to this bunk bed!Placing the ladder toward the front, would also help to add strength to the front, oddly shaped brace.

the paint was chipped in a few spots , the welds on the ladders are sharp and have cut my children's feet. You get what you pay for- overall, it's sturdy and will hopefully last a few years.

would not recommend this AT ALL!! As the other reviews said- scratched. It is very poorly made. The instructions are horrible- looks like they are photo copies of photo copies. They hardware was in a plastic bad with sharpie to identify the numbers. If we did not need this bed THIS weekend for family coming in, w would definitely have returned it.

Will I be able to disassemble it and put it back together if we move to a new place? Thanks.
Yes but I recommend storing the nuts and bolts right back into the tubes/bars after you remove them.  That way you have the right hardware already were it goes and you won’t lose anything.

Black

When trying to open up a smaller bedroom most people often think about bright colors with light hues, but also there is a stronger advantage for going darker and there is no better way to do that than with a black bed. Black is known to amplify small spaces and also set the right mood in your bedroom space. A black colored bed makes your bedroom fell more intimate and special in ways that you could have never imagined before, something that you would never achieve with any of those bright colors. There is nothing as important as setting the right mood in your bedroom especially if you are a couple since it’s the base of your relationship romantically. And as you know choosing the right color is very important, since color is like magic and can influence your state of mind and emotions. If there is one thing you should do right is get yourself a white bed and enjoy every single moment you spend in your bedroom.

Bunk Loft

Sometimes, bunk beds and loft beds are often being used interchangeably. Don't fall for it. These two bed types have a difference. Yes, you may notice that they both have a ladder. However, a bunk bed has at least two beds stacked on top of each other and a loft bed, though a double-level bed as well, is only a single bed. Bunk beds are commonly seen in hostels, military camps, and dormitories. In addition, some of this kind come with a trundle or pull-out bed that can accommodate one more person.

On the other hand, loft beds allow you to use the space beneath your bed as a study or work area or as a closet. If the time will come when you decide that you don't need a bunk bed anymore, don't worry, you can convert it to a loft bed. Simply and carefully remove the bottom bunk. Depending on your needs, both bunk and loft beds are space-saving.

Kids

The home is the training ground for children. It's where they learn and cultivate their values and character. So as a parent or a guardian, you play a big role in who they will become. Allow them to be themselves, to explore what they like, and to play with their imagination. Actually, you can start with their bedroom. How? Ask them what wall color they like. If you have an extra budget for a custom-made bed, ask your little one how he would like for it to look like. A car? A train? A spaceship? A dollhouse? Or if you can, build the bed yourself! It can be a great bonding time for you and your kids.

A kid's bed can also be space-saving with its built-in drawers, which can be a way to tidy up their toys and books. Beds with bedside table, where your child(ren) can study and play with papers and crayons, are also available in the market. Of course, kids love to play. Make bedtime fun with tent beds, beds with slide, and house-shaped kids' beds! Surely, your youngster will enjoy both his waking and sleeping hours.

Slat

A good bed must always have a strong base. The slat bed design is a type of base made for a bed. They are a series of connected bars that lie across the width of the frame. The designs offer great support for the mattress, hence providing good support to your back when sleeping and allows good ventilation to the mattress. Good ventilation for the mattress keeps them cleaner and more hygienic. The slats are made from strong wood ensuring the durability of your bed. These bases provide good firm support and are a simple and cheaper option. The slatted design comes in two designs to choose from. Metal

One of the most asked question when it comes metallic beds is, are they safe for younger children? And the answer is always, yes they are. One of reason to why metal beds have grown in popularity over the last couple of years is the fact that they require less maintenance since as we all know metal does not dent or scratch easily making it even a more attractive option as compared to wooden and plastic beds. When it comes to durability also metal beds are currently the most durable beds in the market more durable than the wooden beds and would even handle more weight than a wooden bed frame. Metal beds are also highly portable since they are lighter than other types of bed, and in case you are the kind of person who love rearranging their bedroom setup you will definitely love the metal bed.

Without combining materials, you get a clean and uniform looking bed that will match any bedroom. The con of a single-material bed is that they won’t stand out as much as other beds, but this can also be a pro as well, as it means they’ll easily blend into any room and not take attention away from other features that are nearby. The single-material is recommended if you’re after a bed for a minimalist setting, something that looks very simple and neutral - then you’re going to be satisfied by the single-material bed.
