I was apprehensive about ordering this given the negative reviews, but I didn't want to pay four times as much for a similar style that matches my nightstands. It took me five hours. My advice is to lay out the pieces and pay attention to the directions. I was missing one small wood dowel, but I had one extra larger one, so I cut it off. The directions were very easy to follow, but sides 2 and 3 were mixed up on paper, which was obvious fairly quickly. I messed up where to put the dowels on the drawer runners, so pay attention to the diagram. I put this together myself and used a powered screwdiver for most screws, then used my hands to screw them the rest of the way in. I couldn't imagine screwing every screw in by hand. It's not a grand piece of furniture by any means, but it ended up matching my nightstands pretty good, and for a fourth of the price, I can't complain at all.

When you open the box, do not be intimidated by over 60 screws and pieces! The directions were clear and simple, and I put this together in under an hour. The directions say do not use a drill. The wood is so soft that, yes, you can press the screws through the wood with only your arm strength, and I was able to do this despite weak grip strength and carpal tunnel. However, that's a whole lot of screws, so I gave up and used a drill, but again, the wood is soft, so be very careful not to split the wood or warp the boards with the drill's power. When I was done, it looked pretty good, but the drawers aren't perfectly aligned. I don't think anyone will really notice though. There is one drawer that will not slide well. It looks just like the picture, but it's just not quality wood. I don't imagine it will hold up for years and years.

Once it was assembled, it looks pretty nice and is sturdy. However, assembly was brutal. Half of the holes weren’t pre-drilled. The manual specified that power tools shouldn’t be used, so my girlfriend and I had to torque and press the screws very hard. It also meant that putting in the slider/rails was painful and inaccurate. Screws that are even slightly off-angle prevent drawer operation, and we had to hammer the things flat, which risked bending the rails.I strongly suggest either buying this preassmbled or not at all.

I think I am the first to write a review on this item, and sad to say I am really disappointed with this purchase. The first day of using this dresser, the drawers were coming off of the tracks as I was putting my clothes away! Btw, I did order the professional assembly along with the dresser. So idk if it was the professional that just did a poor job at assembling this dresser, or if it really is just a cheap product. Either way, it shouldn’t be falling apart on the first use. The drawers feel and sound pretty cheap too when you open and close them. It’s just not worth damn near $300 AT ALL. Absolutely not worth the money. This is a rip off for the quality of this furniture. I want to return it but don’t want to go through the hassle.

I don’t know why I even took a chance buying this. Instructions were wrong, the assembly was all screwed up, you can’t even slide the drawer in and out properly. The bottom piece for the drawer wasn’t even sized properly. This needed a DRILL and even with the drill it took over two hours to put together and it’s all wonky and crooked. I don’t know who they hired to write the instructions but they need to re-evaluate them. I’m super disappointed and feel like I wasted my money. Don’t know if I can even return this because it’s assembled and would be a bitch to take apart. Everything about this is terrible so don’t even bother.

This is my first review I've ever written on anything and I thought it would be an important one. First off, the price I paid was $350 and it looks like it was lowered by $60. My husband and I assembled it and it took 5 hours to put together.....two people and 5 hours later and the drawers still don't fit properly. The instructions were very vague. We bought this for our four year old son's room and it puts off a strong chemical smell. As soon as you walk into the room the smell hits you. Not exactly what I want my son to be breathing in. It's cheap material and the paint is very light. It could have used two more coats of white. The drawers cannot hold much weight. DO NOT BUY.
