This bedframe is very sturdy, do not use a box spring with this bedframe or you will not be able to see the headboard, a mattress between 7-10 inches is the perfect fit for this mattress I have a 12inch mattress and it covers about 2.5 inches of the headboard, I bought this bedframe in queen size if you buy in king size the headboard will be significantly shorter (3 buttons on king headboard, 4 buttons on queen headboard)

This bed is very beautiful and very easy to setup. Took about 2 hours since I don’t rush things. It is rock sold and does not squeak. Buy without hesitation.

Perfect designed bed; the best part is it’s not expensive but very strong bed. It took bit time to assemble it but the instructions are very clear so we didn’t face any issues. When we opened the box, we thought some of the items are missing but all the items are properly placed inside the storage area. You can keep lot of items inside the storage area. We found all the raw materials to build the bed is good, so definitely it’s a strong one; even we jumped couple of times but nothing happened to the bed. Loved the brand and product.

Over the last decade, I've bought lots of furniture online and reviews are everything so, shopper to online shopper, here's what I'd like to know before buying the Zinus Misty--The bed is high quality and well designed. No one is going to believe what I paid for this bed. The fabric is thick and looks like a nice silk with just a little sheen. The tufting is the real deal with actual folds of fabric in the actual right spots. Most button tufting on lower end beds is more button dimpling-- a single sheet of fabric, button pushed through with some wrinkles around the indent. Real tufting requires more fabric, you start from the middle and fold and sew buttons as you go. It's more labor intensive, higher end and it shows. This is the real deal and it makes my decorator heart happy. The bed arrives in a big, single box that has 2 layers of cardboard and a plastic bag to protect the fabric. Yes, everything is zipped into the back which is why it's so heavy. Take out the slats first and it gets more manageable. If you empty the headboard and cart everything piece by piece, it's no problem for one person to take the headboard into the room.Once you get that heavy box into the house, it's a one person job. I cut the tape on the box and slide the headboard out standing upright with the plastic still on, then carefully lowered it face down onto a couple of throw blankets, then cut just the back of the plastic off to reach the zipper and unload the innerds. The bed goes together easily as long as you remember to loosen the bolts and don't tighten until the sides are in place. It took an hour with the included hex thingie and that included extra time because I did *not* loosen those bolts enough and played ring around the rosie several times to get it right. It's probably a 20-30 minute job if you remember the bit about those bolts. The slats on velcro are a marvel and took about 60 seconds to roll out. There's a really cool little hex ratchet tool included but I never used it. The legs are plastic but they're heavy duty and they don't show. If I were really picky, I'd just run up to a big box store and buy some wooden legs. If that's the only shortcut they took to get this bed to this price point, then thank you Zinus. The pictures show those lovely folded fabric button tufts and the beige color in lamplight against a wall painted in Sherwin Williams Wool Skein. The second pictures shows the bed with the mattress. For reference, that mattress is 8" and those bedside tables are 22". Measurements in the description are accurate and if you have a thick mattress or need a higher headboard, this may not be your best option. Personally, I love the lower profile and it really makes the room feel open. This is probably my favorite online furniture purchase ever. Thank you Zinus for providing a lovely, affordable upholstered bed :)Read more

Misleading picture. The bed I received has a very short headboard. The reason I bought this, but not others which are cheaper, is the higher headboard shown on the picture. It would take too much work to pack everything back and return so I still have it. Otherwise, it is sturdy and the quality is good for the price. :( not very happy.

We purchased this bed in March 2019. We bought the king size. At first, I was a little disappointed that the headboard wasn't as tall as I thought but I liked it so I figured it wasn't a big deal because it was a nice bed and the first thing we bought for our new house. We put it together fairly easy. About three months after having the bed I started walking up with red itchy bumps all over my body. This went on for over a month. I had no idea what was happening to me. I thought maybe I was having some type of allergy. At one point I thought maybe bed bugs were the problem, but I quickly decided that wasn’t the problem because I couldn’t find any on the mattress or the couch but I've never dealt with bed bugs before, the bed was "new" and no one else was having red bumps so bed bugs became the last thing on my mind. Then one day, around 11 pm, I was just sitting on the couch, minding my own business, watching my shows (This is my me time. Time to catch up with my shows after dealing with two toddlers all day.) and I saw from the corner of my eye this freaking bug crawling toward my face/head area. So reasonably, I freaked out, killed the bug and woke up my husband. We thought we found a tick, so we blamed it on our cat. We thought it was just a one-time thing. I didn’t think the “ticks” had nothing to do with my red bumps because, again, it was just happening to me. Then about 3 weeks to a month passed and I found another one on the couch again around the same time at night. At this point, I’m like, “what the fork is happening? Where are these ticks coming from?”. Then that same week I found a dead one on the floor by my side of the bed. At this point even though we still thought they were ticks we were surprised no one had gotten bitten not even the cat. (Is worth mention that at this point we should’ve been smarter and realized we were not dealing with lazy ticks). So that night, I’m freaking out telling my husband that the ticks had to be hiding somewhere and I can’t sleep thinking about bugs crawling around our house. While I was talking to my husband, I put my had on the top of the headboard and my fingers touched the back of it and I saw two of these “ticks” just crawling out. I admit I screamed a little. I was disgusted but I didn’t know it was going to get worse. We moved the headboard away from the wall to take a look and guess what we found? Lots of these “ticks”, of every size and tons of eggs just living on the back of our new $250 headboard. GROSS GROSS GROSS!! Still thinking we were dealing with ticks we treated the inside and outside of the house, washed and cleaned everything twice and then did it all over again a week later so we thought we were in the clear. Then a month after that, I found them again on the back of the headboard and on the cracks closest to the buttons on the front of the headboard. We freaked out and threw the whole bed out in the trash. By this point and after much more research (and after finding another one this week, today is 10/16/2019) we now know we were dealing with bed bugs. I never thought about taking pictures of the bugs because all I wanted to do was to get rid of the bugs before they spread to my children's bedrooms and the rest of the house. So, because I don't have any pictures of the actual bugs on the bed the Zinus company would not help us at all with the warranty or anything. Now I'm short a bed, $250 and about to spend more money bringing an exterminator to the house tomorrow because I just I can't take this anymore and that’s not to mention the money we spent on different ticks and bed bugs products to treat the inside and outside of the house. I'm about to set the house on fire to get rid of them. Bed bugs spread like wildfire and hide everywhere, so we don’t have another choice but to hire an exterminator. Sorry again for the long story but I don’t really want anyone else going through what we been and are still going through. I never thought this could happen to us but here we are. If I were you, I’d think really hard about purchasing this bed or any upholstered furniture from Amazon or Zinus. Two stars instead of one because we liked the bed but not the bed bugs that came with it.Read more

How high off the ground
From the floor to the top of the wooden slats on which the mattress sits is 13 inches. An item fitting under the bed can't be higher than 7 inches because the sides extend down toward the floor.

The queen shows it's 43" high, but the King shows 38". Can anyone clarify if the headboard part is actually shorter?
Hi, I just measured the height of the queen head board and it's 37.5 inches. It's a beautiful bed and very well constructed for the money.

The headboard looks very high, is this accurate? I do not want a short headboard.
ours works fine, its in our guest room for adult kids, 2 pillows on each side fits fine with extra headboard above. I would go measure it for you, but I have a guest in it. Full / Double

A Full / Double bed is a bed meant for couples to share, however with the emergence of so many size options full-double beds are now mainly meant for single sleepers. Back in the 1940s a couple would perfectly fit and enjoy a full double bed, in fact you might have seen one in those 90s movies a classic full-double bed with a nightstand next to it and an old black and white TV on the wall. In modern day, full-double beds are still very popular, mainly among the younger generation who are not married yet and desire a little bit of comfort. Full-double beds fell out of favor of many couple with the introduction of king and queen size beds in to the markets. But despite that a full-double bed is still an excellent choice for single adults with limited space but still desire a bigger bed.

King

A king size bed is the largest standard bed that you will find in the market plus it measures 76 inches by 80 inches, making it a great and popular choice among couple. Single sleepers with the proper finances also enjoy the luxury and comfort of having a huge bed all to themselves. The King Size bed also comes in different variations which are the California size bed that’s 4 inches longer than a normal king size bed and 4 inches narrower, another variation is the California king size bed, the ideal choice if you are sharing your bed with someone who is more than 6 feet tall. If you are couple looking for a bed with extra comfort and space for the both of you I would highly recommend the King size bed as it’s a combination of unmatched comfort and luxury.

Queen

A Queen Size bed is usually 60 inches by 80 inches. It’s a very popular bed as it ideal for various kind of lifestyle, it can suit a wide range of sleepers such as single sleepers looking for a luxurious bed or couple who are shopping on a budget. A queen size bed can fit in most bedrooms making it ideal for couples who want to share a bed plus also its affordability. The Queen Size bed has different variations in case you need a size larger than a normal queen bed but smaller than a king sized bed. These variations include an Olympic queen sized bed which has 6 extra inches on its width and a California queen which has 4 extra inches in length. A queen size bed will fit perfectly well in large bedrooms and smaller bedrooms.

Twin

A Twin bed also referred to as a single bed is one of the smallest bed in the market with a dimension of 38’’ by 75’’. Its compact size makes it ideal for single sleepers may it be children or an adult living in a small space such as a studio apartment. It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Beige

A beige bed can be used to warm up an already bright bedroom without having to paint all the surfaces and bedroom walls. Beige is a warm neutral color that will definitely bring about versatility as the bed’s beige hue integrates to the other colors of your bedroom creating a warm bedroom environment that is ideal for a good night sleep. In case you have an all-white bedroom interior and want to keep white from overpowering your bedroom space you should opt for a beige bed as it will neutralize the excess light while still creating a warm environment. Beige will bring about a more simple toned down environment despite the colors you have chosen for your bedroom décor since beige offers a color blocking solution. Despite what color is overpowering your bedroom space a beige bed will definitely tone it down.

Blue

A Blue bed creates a soothing soft feeling each time you walk into your bedroom. Just like a breath of fresh air it adds a dreamy feeling and a ton of versatility making it one of the best go to bed colors. In fact blue is one of the best color for sleep as it is very calming. One of the best thing you can do is get yourself a blue bed, according to a recent study an individual with a blue bed or bedroom slept for an approximate of 8 hours. This show cases how good the blue color is since even an average person doesn’t even get 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep. As if that is not good enough 60 percent of people who sleep on a blue bed or bedroom are likely to wake up each morning very happy, after all who wouldn’t after such a great sleep.

Gray

Gray as a color can be somehow depressing and uninspiring especially in a darker bedroom, and as you already know sleeping in a gray bedroom is not as satisfying as sleeping in a brighter bedroom. Gray might not be as inviting as other colors but that doesn’t mean that a Gray bed is not a good choice for your bedroom. All you need to know before choosing a gray bed or any other no so bright colored bed is which bedroom décor is the best for that specific bed color. With a gray bed it can be really advantageous especially if you have an all-white bedroom since it will tone down the general look for your bedroom, creating some form of contrast. In case you have a bright bedroom and you wish to tone down I would definitely recommend for you a gray bed to help tone down your bedroom décor.

Taupe

In the decorating world Taupe is one of the most versatile and neutral color, despite it being considered as a neutral color it also has warm and cool variation. A bed with a cool shade of usually have a more grey base instead of a brown one, which is accompanied by a limey yellow or green hue. On the other hand a bed with a warm shade of taupe is usually easier to spot as it usually have pink, rich purple, or soft red undertones. A taupe bed brings out the best of a modern or contemporary bedroom interior décor. It also blends seamlessly with a vintage bedroom décor, giving your room that calm, smooth look. A bed with a warm shade of taupe on the other hand a more cozy feeling making your bedroom feel more inviting after a long day at work.

Beds

A bed can be referred as a piece of furniture which is used as a place to fall asleep and relax. In this modern age beds consist of a soft cushioned mattress and a bed frame, the mattress is usually resting on a sprung base, solid base, or a wood slats. Beds come in different sizes ranging from infant-sized cribs to small beds that can just accommodate one person, to large king and queen sized beds designed for two or more people. Most bed are usually a single mattress and a fixed frame, however there are other varieties such as a sofa bed, which folds out of a sofa or a murphy bed that folds in to a wall. Other beds can be referred as temporary beds as they contain neither a bedframe nor a mattress, a good example is the inflatable air mattress or the folding camp cot.

Fabric

Fabric is commonly designed for everyday clothing, and, because of its quality, it can also be used for furniture upholstery. Light, simple, and versatile, fabric-upholstered beds can effortlessly match any interior design theme. They are durable and long-lasting. Fabrics are also soft and comfortable and can even make your bed stand out from the rest of your furnishings.

There are different types of fabric-upholstered bed depending on the textile used and each of them has its distinct advantages and disadvantages. A linen-upholstered bed is breathable, easy to clean, and hypo-allergenic, but is prone to wrinkles and low stain-resistance. A velvet-upholstered bed is good for those with pets and can be dyed in rich colors, but high-maintenance and very expensive. A cotton-upholstered bed is abrasion-resistant and allows you to maintain a cool feeling, but not that stain-resistant and its fibers may weaken when directly exposed to sunlight. A corduroy-upholstered bed is durable, low-maintenance, and inexpensive, but can be heavy. But, whichever type you choose, surely fabric can turn your bed into a comfortable one.
