This exact bed i have found in all my local furniture stores for $2,000 and over. I got this one on Amazon for $1,300! Keep in mind, this will come in boxes left in front of your garage door. I some how brought it all in, separated into piles, put together which really was not to hard. I will save the 700 bucks to do all the moving and assembly myself. It is gorgeous, love it, happy i finally got my dream bed. I got it in King.

Absolutely beautiful. The padded leather headboard is both great looking and practical for sitting up in bed. The columns and iron work canopy raise the look of the whole bedroom. I love it.

We have had this bed for awhile now, and I have intended to write a short review. Before purchase, I had some questions as to materials. I browsed here and on some other websites without finding definitive answers, and finally addressed my questions to the seller. The seller contacted the manufacturer and gave me good support. I asked specifically if any parts were "plastic" to which the answer was "no." Well, sort of... The large posts are clearly resin. It appears to be a good quality resin, so if you are disappointed that it isn't wood, pretend you are Julius Caesar and the posts are marble. The posts are hollow, but of substance...not hard to handle, but durable. I was told plywood for the header & footer with "cherry veneer." Well...cherry colored. I have some real cherry veneer pieces, and they don't look like this. I would say resin again. The headboard is really heavy. Get some help in assembly. It appears to be very heavy plywood, with a resin shell over it. 'Can't be sure, since I didn't actually dissect it for this review. You can't assemble it as shown under an 8' ceiling. The decorative center piece at the top of the iron work makes it more than 8'. I solved the problem by turning this piece upside down leaving me a bit more than an inch clearance to my 8' ceiling. If you leave off the iron, it fits fine with lots of clearance. Take care when you assemble the iron. The joining piece at the center is correctly made, but must be oriented correctly. I oriented it wrong at my first attempt and thought there was a design flaw. Nope, just an assembler (me) flaw.We saw this bed, used, in a consignment store selling for about what this one costs new. My wife has been angry with me for a year for not buying it. Buying this one got me out of the dog house, and she loves it. We decorated it with some fancy fabric from a local fabric store. At this price point, the materials are fine. Everything is of good quality. I probably would have gone five stars if the manufacturer had been a little more straightforward in stating the actual materials used. I have seen this bed listed several places and described as wood. Yeah, the frame is wood, and there is some plywood. Personally, I would not call it a wood bed. It is what it is, and that's OK. The iron work is of good quality, the resin posts are of good quality such as you would find in statuary. It is a very attractive piece. You will indeed feel like Julius Caesar when you sleep in it (It's kinda romantic too...)Good luck,WoodyRead more
