Super cute. Exactly what we were looking for. I love the Grey color that we chose. It is just tall enough to set up a fort beneath it but not too tall for our 4 year old.

Our 4 1/2-year old son loves his new loft bed. We chose this one because we figured the horizontal steps and slight angle to the ladder would be easier for him to navigate, coming from a converted crib bed. We were nervous the first night, but he's had zero problems going up and down. Note that this is made for a maximum 8" mattress per the specs; it will fit a deeper mattress, but the guardrail height will be reduced - we mistakenly got a 9"+ mattress and you can see from our photos that the guardrails are still functional but we would have been better off with a thinner mattress. (Not going to bother returning it in this era of covid-19, though). It has a fair number of loose parts when it arrives, but hardware is straightforward and assembly is pretty simple. One person can handle almost all of it, but a second person is probably necessary to help hold the long pieces on a few of the steps. Materials and finish seem pretty good, especially for the price. One difference you may want to note between this and other loft beds you may be considering is that others had a higher weight capacity (and price to go with it) if you're considering an adult being in the bed with your child for stories, sleep, etc. Also, it's lower than I was picturing in my head, so pay attention to the specs; our son can easily play under it, but he's not ever going to be doing homework at a desk under it.

Awesome bed and my 6 year old loves it! Super sturdy and the color looks pretty much the same as the picture, I got the charcoal. Easy to put together, took me a little over 2 hours but I did it alone plus I put one of the pieces in the wrong place and had to take some things apart. I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because some of the holes were not drilled correctly and was hard to get some of the screws in. Other than that I would recommend!

Our lil guys just loves his new bed! Looks great too!!I believe it can hold 200-250lbs but not sure I would test the wood slats on that. Instead, we made a dinosaur cave/reading nook underneath where we do storytime. Mid height is perfect for our 4 yr old.Fun additions: - led lights underneath are battery operated so they don’t get hot.- picked up a cupboard caddy to hang over the bed for Kleenex and water cup to avoid getting in & out of bed. Works awesome!!I didn’t give a full 5* stars because, although the bed itself feels sturdy, I would have liked the rail to be secured better. It does the job of preventing lil ones from rolling off the bed BUT it’s not as secure as I would like (a centre brace would help- I’ll add that myself). Totally recommend

Part of the wood split when putting together- didn't seem like a big deal at the time. Less than 2 months (and probably only 5 sleeps) and my 2 boys ages 5 and 8, broke it beyond repair. The bottom on both side broke so the slats wouldn't stay put.

UPDATED at about the six months, the bed collapsed while my 8 year old son was just laying on it....do not risk it.Bed looks nice, but it’s not sturdy at all. It wobbles horribly. I would return it if it wouldn’t take so long to take apart and send back. Instead, we are spending additional money buying hardware to reinforce it.

The bed itself is great. However, when we opened the two boxes, the wood stinks. We left it out in the garage for a week to air out. It didn’t help. I’m not sure what finish is on this, but I was not happy to put this in my child’s room and have it stink.

Every product I have bought from wayfair was complete trash. The Foulton flatweave area rug came apart within 6 months. The Cresent grey 6 drawer dresser had about 12 pieces missing.I also purchased a sectional that was supposed to be grey but was an ugly tan color that sagged looked trashy and was thrown away. The sectionalwas so poorly made that i encourage everyone not to ever consider ordering from. I also ordered two doica loft bed for my ten year old and they also broke they were $349 and broke.I bought two and left the second one in the box due to the horrible qaulity WAYFAIR YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely some quality issues when the bed first arrived. First, I noticed that the “espresso” color was really only a darkish brown. I guess I was expecting more of a true espresso that was a deep dark brown that was closer to black. Secondly, one of the pieces to the ladder looks like it may have been scratched by another of the piece in the box. Third, one of the slats to hold the mattress was a little short, making it hard to screw into the wood. Fourth, two holes were slightly too large for the screw. But the last thing was a safety issue. Only the day after the bed was built the ladder came off the bed while my 3 year old son was getting on the bed. Yikes!

This was my first purchase from wayfair and this will be the last one. The bed came with broken pieces. We somehow managed to make it the same day it arrived coz my kid was super excited but the moment we put the slats and matress on it most of the slats broke. I tried contactin wayfair nd they wouldn't give me a proper answer. The day the bed arrived, it was raining so the packaging was soaking wet. I cant even sent it back....paid almost 400 for it. My kids wld not even climb on the bed as he fell with the slats so the bed is basically a piece of garbage sittin in my garage. Too bad that wayfair is not doing anything about it. I would definitely nvr be buying from them again.

Twin

A Twin bed also referred to as a single bed is one of the smallest bed in the market with a dimension of 38’’ by 75’’. Its compact size makes it ideal for single sleepers may it be children or an adult living in a small space such as a studio apartment. It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Natural

Many people tend to think that in order to create a dramatic high-contrast bedroom space, you need to decorate your bedroom with bright colors or moody greens, blues, and reds. Well, it’s time to think again, because now with a natural colored/themed bed you can create a dreamy, dramatic and romantic bedroom space. A natural bed gives your bedroom a cozy and romantic look which is much better that the traditional rather spooky and cave like look, that is achieved through lots of unnecessary painting. Especially if you are a minimalist a natural bed is your best option as it gives you that minimalist look since it’s perfectly fine without any clutter and unnecessary furnishing and also it provides you with a clean, serene vibe. If you intend to keep an all-natural vibe in your bedroom then you should go and get yourself a Natural bed.

The home is the training ground for children. It's where they learn and cultivate their values and character. So as a parent or a guardian, you play a big role in who they will become. Allow them to be themselves, to explore what they like, and to play with their imagination. Actually, you can start with their bedroom. How? Ask them what wall color they like. If you have an extra budget for a custom-made bed, ask your little one how he would like for it to look like. A car? A train? A spaceship? A dollhouse? Or if you can, build the bed yourself! It can be a great bonding time for you and your kids.

A kid's bed can also be space-saving with its built-in drawers, which can be a way to tidy up their toys and books. Beds with bedside table, where your child(ren) can study and play with papers and crayons, are also available in the market. Of course, kids love to play. Make bedtime fun with tent beds, beds with slide, and house-shaped kids' beds! Surely, your youngster will enjoy both his waking and sleeping hours.

If you’re after a beautiful, smooth looking finish that’s easy to maintain and look after, then the honey finish is the choice for you. With an elegant yet natural look - the honey finish will make your bed the talk of the town. For a really nice complementary look, use light natural colored furnishings in the room, and light colored pillowcases and a light colored quilt cover - this will work so well with the honey finish to create a beautiful vibrant style in the room. Or, you can be a little daring, and use darker colors like black - this will work in contrast to the honey finish, and make the bed stand out in a dazzling kind of way. The honey look is a great choice for anyone that wants a bed that’s very appealing to the eye, and is versatile enough to suit a more casual laid back room, or become a bold and impactful centrepiece in the room.

Wood

A wooden bed is a very popular choice especially when you are out buying a bed for your kids as they come with a number of advantages. Such as: wooden beds are known to be long lasting. At one point in life most of us have slept in a wooden bed, plus wooden beds can be traced back in history to our Tudor ancestors. If you opt to get you kid a bed of his or her own a wooden bed is always the best choice, since they are much easier to clean and maintain since its common knowledge how messy a child’s bedroom become. What makes a wooden bed the perfect choice for your child’s bedroom is its ability to withstand everything your child throws at it. This is because wooden beds are known to be sturdy and robust no matter the environment they are in.

Ash

The ash wood species is a very unique type of wood as it is known to be strong and hard at the same time, with very essential capabilities such as high elasticity and good resistance properties. Ash wood is very popular for interior furnishing, thanks to its interesting and amazing appearance, a good example being the Ash bed which does not easily wear mainly because of its hardness and elasticity properties. Ash is a smooth well-grained hardwood species that is light colored, an ash bed is usually beige to light with a brown hue. An ash bed is usually more durable that you could ever think of, with a pleasing aesthetic and very lightweight. One of its characteristic that makes it ideal for making a bed is its shock resistant capabilities particularly in a mid-century themed modern home.

Hardwoods

Hardwood wood varieties refer to the type of tree the wood is taken from; it has nothing to do with how heavy or dense the wood is (contrary to popular belief!). Hardwood woods are sourced from trees that have leaves and lose their leaves in the winter months. Types of hardwood trees include hickory, maple, oak, birch and cherry (among others). Wood from hardwood trees is usually harder and therefore more dense, as these trees tend to grow at a slower rate. Hardwood is ideal for use in indoor furniture crafting, as it is sturdy and durable. Most hardwood varieties are bright and beautiful in their natural tone/shade, but many take well to staining, finishes and paints. The hardwood varieties offer a cozy, warm look and enrich your bedroom style. Hardwood bed frames are a great way to brighten your bedroom and enhance the overall look and feel of your sleep space!

Pine

Do you love a rustic, classic bedroom style? A pine wood bed frame should be at the top of your shopping list! Pine wood is a softwood variety, meaning it is well-suited for use in both indoor and outdoor furniture because of its durability. Pine is a shock-resistant wood that is strong and long-lasting and is well-suited for crafting ornate and intricate details; this only adds more beauty to your home! Pine wood is lighter in color with an almost creamy white appearance; it is beautiful in both its natural state or finished with a stain. Pine wood is also lighter in weight than some other wood varieties, making assembly of bed frames relatively simple and quick. Pine wood bed frames are an ideal wood to stain, which gives you the opportunity to change or enhance your style as your preferences change. It’s a perfect choice whether you want to achieve a rustic, warm bedroom environment, or a more modern, contemporary sleep space.

Softwoods

Softwood wood varieties are wood types that are sourced from cone bearing trees (evergreens with needles), such as spruce, pine, and fir. Softwood wood varieties are well-known for their superb ability to resist decay and/or rot, making them an ideal choice for both indoor and outdoor use; they are long-lasting and very durable. Softwood wood varieties are also versatile and are the top choice for designing and crafting furniture with ornate, distinct details. Softwoods are more vulnerable to dings or dents; however, they are still very sturdy and dependable furniture pieces. Due to the wood type’s versatility, softwood bed frames are ideal for people who love an ornate and detailed décor style. Softwood wood types most often have a neutral, earthy color and pair well with bright color palettes to create a gorgeous contrast and give your bedroom a fresh new look!

Espresso Wood

When talking about coffees, espresso is the strong black one. In furniture and woods, it is actually somewhat similar to that. Espresso is a deep, dark brown color, so dark that it is sometimes mistaken to be jet black when, in fact, it stands between the two colors. If you want your bed to look elegant, go for espresso wood. It will also appear neat because dark color can magically tuck away dirt and dust. When under direct lighting, espresso gives out red hues. Cabinets, tables, and shelves that are in espresso sell more than those in light colors because many people opt for a traditional and classic look. Because of its neutral color, espresso is very versatile. It can go well with any home color scheme and design style. Since it's not black and definitely not a bright color, espresso can be pleasing and gentle to the feeling and to the eyes. It can also make you feel relaxed because of its soothing and coffee-like color, perfect after a long day at work.

Espresso may also be your favorite drink! You will definitely wake up feeling energized just by seeing your bed.
