This is just what we were looking for. The kids are getting older and we wanted a sturdier set for the older kids. Their one requirement was that it had a trundle. After looking at several sets, this was the one we chose based on my preference (dark finish) and the dimensions of the space we needed to fit it into.I had someone install it, so I cannot speak to how hard or easy it is to put together.

This bed has been nothing but amazing, especially for the price. It was easy to assemble (I was 7 months pregnant at the time and did it all by myself in just over an hour), it has been holding up nicely (my boys: 3, 2, 2 like to jump on them), plus my husband and I can sit on the beds with all of our boys and don't feel any uneasiness with the bed giving out (we have not stacked them yet because my 2 year old twins use them right now). Great color, had a scratch before coming out of the box, but really not a problem. Over all great buy.

pros- great price, hard to beat for a bunk bed with trundle- looks great- lots of fun for kids- completely solid pine, no MDF garbage unlike ones you get at Ikea- the trundle slides out nicely and provides extra sleeping area; you can use it as storage instead if you likecons- assembly can be difficult unless you're handy, make sure you read instructions and use the right screws for each part they tell you; I messed up and had to redo some of the screws twice, was my own fault, they look similar, not fool proof; can easily take 4hrs to unpack and assemble esp if 1 person to do all work- some smell from the finish, can take 3d+ to clear- the 4 post rods for stacking the beds look cheap, it's just wood pegs, not metal rods which is standard at least in the old days it was; this is my main criticism of the bed; I would rather pay more for it to come with metal rods. I added metal brackets to add extra support to all ends of each rail on upper bed and where 4 posts join with lower headboard; this stabilize the bed esp since both my kids want to play at upper bed same time; you're not supposed to have more than 1 child on upper bed; also the brackets provide extra insurance should the rail end part break off from headboard. To be fair, the protective rails of the upper bed and plus the ladder provide further support- protective rails on upper bed that prevent a child from falling should be raised higher, I plan to add extra wood piece to make it higheroverall, great bunk bed, great value, hard to beat. I don't mind paying more if it came with metal rods, and plus prefer thicker rails and thicker posts for the headboards. I added corner foam pieces to prevent head bumps. For the mattress, I use 5 inch thick foam beds.whatever bed you choose, make sure you want it before ordering, because once you unpack, trying to return can be a nightmare since it's so heavy and so many parts. Also check all screws once a month, since they could get loose if kids shake it.Read more

These beds certainly met our expectations- I would put the quality well above IKEA even. The bed is very solid and the paint job was good (it arrived with one ding from shipping, but not bad). The trundle bed was not quite so good with a few more scratches, but it was all easy to construct and it looks great.. and safe!

The bed arrive much sooner than expected, however the hardware was missing. I called the company, instead of amazon right away. I was very surprised that I got an answer from a real person right away! The customer service processed my request and new hardware was shipped right away. By the time I have the whole bed the arrival time was the one I initially was expecting. The bed is very nice looking and sturdy. However just comparing the weight of this bed with the one I have from Rooms to Go I can tell the quality is inferior. With that said, a similar bed in Rooms to GO was 3 to 4 times the price. Therefore, I feel very happy with this purchase. I believe this bed will last a long time too.Assemble was not very difficult. I am not handy at all and it took me several hours ( I did it in two different days) The pictures can be a bit confusing for someone like me with no experience in this type of task. The tool provide is not ideal. I will definitely recommend have a good screwdriver with the right head.Overall I think this is a good product for the price.

Super cute - purchased for our 6 and 7 year old kiddos and they love their new beds. Took about 1hr for husband to put together after waiting a couple days for the last box to come. Because it has the pull out twin on bottom you get 4 boxes not 3. Other than the wait for delivery of the last box it was easy to assemble. It's pretty sturdy to my surprise. Bottom trunk can be turned into a nice big storage with only having to add a piece of think wood to hold all belonging. Kids have only slept on it for a week but it's a keeper!

I was able to put this together by myself up until it was time to stack them. I love when I can do it myself because my husband works til 530 and I'm impatient. I didn't even need to look at the instructions because the whole bed made sense on how it went together (I do have a ton of woodworking experience so I usually don't need instructions) but would recommend checking them out anyway, I'm a bad example. The only thing bad is when my daughter wants me to lay with her it's hard to crawl in and out because she has one of those roll wall things to keep her from comming out. Or when we have had certain fosters they don't understand they can't sit up without hitting their head. But seriously this bed and trundle is awesome and is a great thing to have, it helps make fostering a breeze without taking up a lot of room and was the best price for any beds with trundle that we found. Shipping was incredibly fast as well.

I wanted to really like this product. However, after assembling the bottom bunk headboard and footboard both have cracks in them. Three out of four posts have cracks in them.

Twin

A Twin bed also referred to as a single bed is one of the smallest bed in the market with a dimension of 38’’ by 75’’. Its compact size makes it ideal for single sleepers may it be children or an adult living in a small space such as a studio apartment. It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Dark Gray

Dark gray is a ultra-pale shade of gray, and a Dark-gray bed is known to flatter other types of colors that might be in your bedroom such as green and indigo tones. If you are looking for a subtle neutral bed that’s a little jarring to your eyes then you should opt for a Dark-gray bed. Dark-gray bed will complement any kind of bedroom décor color that you have chosen to go with, however you should always consult an expert or a color wheel in your decorating process. Gray

Gray as a color can be somehow depressing and uninspiring especially in a darker bedroom, and as you already know sleeping in a gray bedroom is not as satisfying as sleeping in a brighter bedroom. Gray might not be as inviting as other colors but that doesn’t mean that a Gray bed is not a good choice for your bedroom. All you need to know before choosing a gray bed or any other no so bright colored bed is which bedroom décor is the best for that specific bed color. With a gray bed it can be really advantageous especially if you have an all-white bedroom since it will tone down the general look for your bedroom, creating some form of contrast. In case you have a bright bedroom and you wish to tone down I would definitely recommend for you a gray bed to help tone down your bedroom décor.

The home is the training ground for children. It's where they learn and cultivate their values and character. So as a parent or a guardian, you play a big role in who they will become. If you have an extra budget for a custom-made bed, ask your little one how he would like for it to look like. A car? A train? A spaceship? A dollhouse? Or if you can, build the bed yourself! It can be a great bonding time for you and your kids.

A kid's bed can also be space-saving with its built-in drawers, which can be a way to tidy up their toys and books.
