It was NOT easy to assemble. Several viewings of the video were needed. Gave it a 4 star rating due to a few visible chips. ItThe delivery boxes were pretty beat up in transit. Waiting for recommended mattress to “inflate”. I’m afraid it will not be long enough to cover the space. Fingers crossed! Otherwise it fit the area nicely.

Solid construction..... wow! Took 4 hours by 1 person (who is very experienced with assembling this type of project). When finished and in closed position, the top is exposed, showing mattress ... wasn’t thrilled about that. Looks quite industrial when opened. I’d put wallpaper or paint the wall behind it same colour to camouflage a bit ** Read instructions look at picture details carefully for positioning of pieces**... to avoid having to disassemble and redo. Good for small space or multi use 2nd bedroom.

While this is a decently designed murphy bed, I dont think they care much about peoples floors, as the legs are just steel frames with no protection for the floor, if you have hardwood flooring you need to put a carpet under the feet. I wish they could have done a rotating leg that held the mattress when folded and the supports the bed when deployed. The wood slats that support the mattress arent the best, Im going to change them out for a piece of plywood as I need more support.Assembly is a bit difficult in a small space, and having a helper would be ideal. I assembled I myself, it took me about 5 hours to get build it,but I have really bad knees, so the getting up and down killed me.I wish the manufacturer would have put it in a stronger box taped up the box much better I think its also wayfares issue as well because they didnt tape up the box with the more reinforced tape as when I received it from FedEx who by the way is notorious for damaging shipments the box with the particle board pieces was blown out on both sides it damaged the particle board pieces as well one bolt or one not was lost and the other boxes cuz there are three one of the boxes its like so much shook it and it was in just total tatters. I did call Mayfair and they gave me a credit for the damage they would have shipped out new pieces but the damage was within tolerance limits and it was able to camouflage them with some paint. GenieI am going to build us around to cover the top portion of the folded bed so I can store things on top of it as when you receive it in and assemble it thats totally open so the mattress is open to the you know the side of mattress is open to the world. This bed was able to give me the space I needed but having a place to hide my bed so I hope itll work out well I did get the extended warranty just in case but I keep my fingers crossed, I will update this review if there are any changes.I added a shelf cover for the stowed bed, so the mattress cant be seen, also have an area to place items like my router, etc. I think it really makes for a more functional style. Beware of those support legs, because once youve stubbed your toe on them, you will never forget it.

The instructions are just pictures with a few labels. There is no written description of what to do for each step. There is a video online but I didn’t have time to watch. The bed frame is sturdy and heavy but the gas struts make it easy to lift. The bed slats are bowed to provide support for the mattress. This did not fit my 11” mattress so I bought a new 8” mattress after measurements. It looks like it will fit a 9” mattress with plush comforter. My biggest complain is the design of the frame for wall attachment. 1. The length is 79” which is not divisible by 16 so the vertical supports do not line up with my studs. A few more vertical supports 16”oc are need or adjustable supports would be ideal to space them on the studs. To get wood behind the vertical frame supports I built a 2x4 mount that attaches to the wall studs and provides two additional 2x4 vertical supports for attaching the bed frame. This was also helpful in solving the next issue. 2. The bottom horizontal support bar lines up with my baseboard so it does not rest flush to the wall without either removing the baseboard or using the custom 2x4 mount I built. The bottom support bar should be 2” higher to clear the baseboard and rest flush on the wall. This could be a great bed if design changes are made.

Full / Double

A Full / Double bed is a bed meant for couples to share, however with the emergence of so many size options full-double beds are now mainly meant for single sleepers. Back in the 1940s a couple would perfectly fit and enjoy a full double bed, in fact you might have seen one in those 90s movies a classic full-double bed with a nightstand next to it and an old black and white TV on the wall. In modern day, full-double beds are still very popular, mainly among the younger generation who are not married yet and desire a little bit of comfort. Full-double beds fell out of favor of many couple with the introduction of king and queen size beds in to the markets. But despite that a full-double bed is still an excellent choice for single adults with limited space but still desire a bigger bed.

Twin

A Twin bed also referred to as a single bed is one of the smallest bed in the market with a dimension of 38’’ by 75’’. Its compact size makes it ideal for single sleepers may it be children or an adult living in a small space such as a studio apartment. It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Dark Gray

Dark gray is a ultra-pale shade of gray, and a Dark-gray bed is known to flatter other types of colors that might be in your bedroom such as green and indigo tones. Gray

Gray as a color can be somehow depressing and uninspiring especially in a darker bedroom, and as you already know sleeping in a gray bedroom is not as satisfying as sleeping in a brighter bedroom. Gray might not be as inviting as other colors but that doesn’t mean that a Gray bed is not a good choice for your bedroom. All you need to know before choosing a gray bed or any other no so bright colored bed is which bedroom décor is the best for that specific bed color. With a gray bed it can be really advantageous especially if you have an all-white bedroom since it will tone down the general look for your bedroom, creating some form of contrast. In case you have a bright bedroom and you wish to tone down I would definitely recommend for you a gray bed to help tone down your bedroom décor.

Natural

Many people tend to think that in order to create a dramatic high-contrast bedroom space, you need to decorate your bedroom with bright colors or moody greens, blues, and reds. Especially if you are a minimalist a natural bed is your best option as it gives you that minimalist look since it’s perfectly fine without any clutter and unnecessary furnishing and also it provides you with a clean, serene vibe. A bed with a pure shade of white energizes your entire space giving it a vibrant new look, giving you the illusion of a more light within your bedroom. If you have an extra budget for a custom-made bed, ask your little one how he would like for it to look like. A car? A train? A spaceship? A dollhouse? Or if you can, build the bed yourself! It can be a great bonding time for you and your kids.

A kid's bed can also be space-saving with its built-in drawers, which can be a way to tidy up their toys and books.
