Bed was easy to assemble and looks good. I wish the company had sent 6 plugs (7 with an extra) to fill in all the holes, not just the two on the foot board. The mattress sets on the slats with the frame around it so it holds the mattress in place - no sliding off. They do need to add a weight max on the bed description. My grandson is 6" and 190# and so far all is good. That is why I purchased the xl twin size.

Very good quality. Includes the choice of two heights in package. We picked the taller one so we could stick plastic storage bins under the bed.

I really wanted to give this bed a 5-star rating. When I opened the boxes, I was impressed by the fantastic finish on the wood (I got the Walnut color). The instruction sheets indicated there was "spare" hardware included, so I figure this was going to be a piece of cake. I'd read reviews on other sites that mentioned the assembly was difficult, but I figured they were amateurs and I have assembled dozens upon dozens of things like this before, so I wouldn't have any problems. It didn't take long to realize I was mistaken. The pieces came with the wooden dowels already inserted into the joints. I would have preferred if they had just been included in the hardware bag, because each of the two beds I ordered had at least one dowel smashed from banging around during shipping. The "spare" hardware turned out to be insufficient (each kit (which ostensibly included 3 "spare" bolts/barrel nut assemblies) provided only 15 sets, when 16 were required to assemble the bed (off to the hardware store to find 2 additional sets). There was also a set of holes misaligned in the headboard kit - the bolt hole was drilled much too low, and intersected the hole for the barrel nut at the very bottom (so it didn't line up with the hole in the barrel nut, once inserted into that hole. I had to drill a separate hole just above the bolt hold, then merge that hole with the existing hole in order to get the bolt into the right position to intersect the barrel nut - turning a 40 minute assembly into a 90 minute assembly (not counting the trip to the hardware store for additional barrel nuts). The second bed had the same hole drilled lower than it should have been, but not quite as bad as the first one - I was just able to get the bolt through the barrel nut with a little persistence. All that said, once the beds were assembled, they really did look nice. They were also very sturdy. I was worried there might be so few slats provided that I'd need to put a board over them before adding the memory foam mattresses, but the slats were numerous and very slightly spaced, so the mattresses had plenty of support without adding a board over them.So the bed is a definitely a keeper, it's just much more difficult to assemble than I'd hoped. If you're up to the challenge, you will not be disappointed with how the bed looks once assembled.Pros: Gorgeous finish, sturdy.Cons: Difficult assembly (missing hardware, misaligned holes).

They are good twin size beds for my preteens who are really tall. My only complaint is the slats. One is already broken. There was no jumping on it or anything. Just the right amount of pressure in one place on the bed broke it.

Leather is a traditional upholstery material for a reason. It looks great, feels fantastic and is long-lasting. Hardwoods

Hardwood wood varieties refer to the type of tree the wood is taken from; it has nothing to do with how heavy or dense the wood is (contrary to popular belief!). Hardwood woods are sourced from trees that have leaves and lose their leaves in the winter months. Types of hardwood trees include hickory, maple, oak, birch and cherry (among others). Wood from hardwood trees is usually harder and therefore more dense, as these trees tend to grow at a slower rate. Hardwood is ideal for use in indoor furniture crafting, as it is sturdy and durable. Most hardwood varieties are bright and beautiful in their natural tone/shade, but many take well to staining, finishes and paints. The hardwood varieties offer a cozy, warm look and enrich your bedroom style. Hardwood bed frames are a great way to brighten your bedroom and enhance the overall look and feel of your sleep space!

Rubberwood

Rubberwood is a beautiful solid wood that has a rich and inviting color and can enhance the beauty and coziness of your bedroom. Often crafted with rounded edges and gold metal accents, bed frames made of rubberwood truly enrich your bedroom style and home décor. Rubberwood bedroom furniture is simple in design, but still beautiful, eye-catching and classic. The warm color of rubberwood makes your bedroom cozy and inviting; the darker tone is best suited to larger bedrooms and complements well with a warm color palette, such as a deep red or terra cotta. Rubberwood bed frames or headboards can be accented with simple textiles of either neutral or bold color palettes, such as whites or navy’s, which further enhances the cozy feel of your bedroom. Bed frames or headboards made of rosewood is a great choice to revamp your bedroom style while maintaining a classy and traditional décor motif.

Walnut

Walnut wood bed frames and headboards are an ideal choice for individuals who prefer a traditional style. Walnut wood is extremely strong and durable; it is one of the more versatile wood varieties and is relatively easy to work with in terms of woodworking craftsmanship. The look of walnut furniture is very clean and simple and can easily adapt into a traditional or contemporary décor style. The natural color of walnut wood is a beautiful, natural tone that will enhance the ambience of your bedroom and it will make it feel relaxing and calm. Walnut wood bed frames are a bit pricier than other available wood varieties, but you get what you pay for; walnut wood furniture is some of the longest-lasting, sturdiest bedroom furniture available on the market. Walnut wood bed frames look incredible when paired with neutral toned fabrics and simple textiles, such as an off-white or muted blue color palette.

Espresso Wood

When talking about coffees, espresso is the strong black one. In furniture and woods, it is actually somewhat similar to that. Espresso is a deep, dark brown color, so dark that it is sometimes mistaken to be jet black when, in fact, it stands between the two colors. If you want your bed to look elegant, go for espresso wood. It will also appear neat because dark color can magically tuck away dirt and dust. When under direct lighting, espresso gives out red hues. Cabinets, tables, and shelves that are in espresso sell more than those in light colors because many people opt for a traditional and classic look. Because of its neutral color, espresso is very versatile. It can go well with any home color scheme and design style. Since it's not black and definitely not a bright color, espresso can be pleasing and gentle to the feeling and to the eyes. It can also make you feel relaxed because of its soothing and coffee-like color, perfect after a long day at work.

Espresso may also be your favorite drink! You will definitely wake up feeling energized just by seeing your bed.
