My purchase arrived in good condition prior to the promised date with the regular ground shipping at no charge. I believe you can control delivery date with Fed Ex, but am not 100% sure if this is important contact them. My daughter and I assembled the bed in about 4 hours without any problems. The bed is sturdy (per specs 1100 lbs. limit) which is great since you not only count people weight but also the weight of the mattress. I didn't want to be near the maximum weight and felt this one would be more than adequate. I love the look. I didn't want the four poster to eliminate my hubbie from hanging his shirts on the bed, the rounded design prevents this. I am rather demanding of myself, as I want a bed to be made if no one is in it and clothing hanging on it disrupts my peace of mind. There is a light sheen and rather marbling to the finish which makes the bed quite attractive. This is a great choice for me, another quality item from Wayfair!

OH MERCY!!!The bed arrived with torn box opened at one end. Fortunately, all the hardware and parts were still inside. This is a BOOGER to assemble! The parts were labeled on the plastic covering them so when you take the plastic off, there are no indicators which part you have. Some of the rods were labeled wrong- so use the diagram. The flimsy hex keys that were included didn't even work in some of the screws without holding at an angle trying to catch the inside edge of the hardware. Either the cut of the key or the cut of the screw head were off and didn't fit well. The manufacturing was substandard in quality. Holes for the screws didn't line up and some didn't even fit. I took a screw driver to pry the edge of the holes a bit so the hardware would go in. Since some of the holes didn't line up, a few screws bent when I tried to screw them in. I had to try to use a hammer to straighten out the screw because there were NO extras of any hardware. Of course that didn't help the threading on the screw. The assembly instructions seemed like they could be re-sequenced and be more user friendly...such as the section about attaching the center bars to the headboard and footboard. The instructions call for two more screws (C) than were included in my sealed package of hardware. Consequently, I had to go search through my own screws and nuts to find extra pieces that would work. My grandson started the project with me, but after all of the problem with parts not fitting and lining up, he quit. It took this senior lady over 5 hrs to assemble this bed alone. It is definitely better to have 2 people on this since parts have to be held in place and a stupid hex key used forever. What do manufacturers have against a plain old Philips head screw that lets us have a screwdriver to hang on to? The baby wrench included was useless. It was too large for the size of the nuts to hold them. Have your pliers handy. My main concern is where the cross bars connect the headboard and footboard. Those did not line up well with the larger pipe sections of the head/foot boards. They did not secure tightly. However, after other hardware was assembled the bed was more stable. The cross rods that go to either side of the center of the assembled midsection of the frame were bent and had to be hammered and man handled into shape to fit the round side rods between the head/footboard.I have arthritis and carpal tunnel so using the stupid hex key for the whole bed assembly was down right painful and time intensive. The instructions mention not screwing things in tight until its all put together then going back to tighten up everything. Apparently, that's because many of the parts have to be manually altered to fit and creates misalignment of other pieces. Be sure to follow that advice.Good thing- the cross pieces that snap in are a breeze after the nightmare assembly of the frame. However, some of those were bent and had to manually be realigned to go in the slots. The assembled bed did look nice and provides the under bed storage I wanted. The finish looked nice but scratched easily during assembly. I'll have to touch up some places now that it is put together. The finished bed seems stable and doesn't squeak or move when a 280 lb person is on it.An assembly that should have taken an hour or so took much longer due to the poor quality of the manufacturing. The tools included should be improved upon and fit the hardware.Personally, I will NOT order anything else from this manufacturer. It's not worth the literal pain and extra work caused by poor craftmanship and cheap tools. While the finished product may be acceptable, consumers should not have to go through this kind of chaos to assemble something so simple. For those reasons, I do not recommend purchasing this bed.

The single-material is recommended if you’re after a bed for a minimalist setting, something that looks very simple and neutral - then you’re going to be satisfied by the single-material bed. Single-material beds also look great when you have two separate beds in the same room - the single-material look really gives the room a strong, matching and consistent appearance.
