You can tell it is well made! Came packaged really well. Not too hard to put together, but I suggest having two people do it. My husband and I were able to set it up in probably two hours. The lighting in our room is pretty dark so it looks lighter when the natural light comes through.

Fantastic and unusual bed - well worth the splurge if you want a high-end plantation look. Very well made and heavy. Note - it's a platform bed, so you don't need a bed frame. A 9" box spring and 11" mattress fit well

Absolutely gorgeous and elegant! Havent put it together yet, but it is obvious that the bed is extremely well made and of high quality by the weight alone.
