Took about 7 hrs for one person to put together with A LOT of breaks but, no melt downs. All the parts are labeled and the instructions were clear. Great bed all in all.

Well, I kinda knew what I was getting into with this bed. There are so many variations of this bed on so many different sites that it was pretty obvious this was going to be a China product that would have the normal Chinese furniture product issues.First off, OVERALL, this is exactly what is advertised. Everything is sturdy now that it's assembled and despite some of the issues I'll list, the little one this was purchased for absolutely LOVES it. It's been up for about 3 days and I think that slide has been used 100x times already! The issues are minor in the scope of things, but they are worth noting so that you know what you're getting into when buying:1) The instructions are *overall* sufficient, but there are a few times where some clarifications would help keep you from having to disassemble/reassemble when you found that you put a piece on with a hole on the wrong side, or you grab the wrong numbered piece because the numbers are SO small in the instructions. I had to remove and flip two of the main supports AFTER the bed was halfway assembled because I had them turned the opposite way when I put them on, and it wasn't obvious which way they needed attached when I first put it together.2) Mislabeled parts. Some of the parts are EXTREMELY similar, and maybe have one hole different between the two, and are large enough that they can be confused easily. Add in that I had a few pieces that were misnumbered, and the frustration increases exponentially. The main ones that were switched were two of the 4 main supports. One should have been on the side with the ladder, but had the number that was on the other side, and the hole for the side with the ladder wasn't there after 85% of the build was complete. At that point I was NOT taking out two completely opposite supports and swapping them. Thankfully that particular hole was not load bearing, it was just for one of the decorative pieces, so it didn't really affect anything.3) 2 holes didn't line up properly. This didn't end up being too big of an issue, I was able to loosen some bolts and force them to line up, but it seems like they were about 1/16th to 3/16th of an inch off, which made those two bolts challenging4) 2 holes were completely missing. These were completely decorative pieces that had enough support from other bolts so this didn't bother me at all5) One of the connecting threads for one of the crossmembers apparently had burrs in it or wasn't completely threaded, as when I was putting one of the main support bolts in, it got stuck, and with the quality of the bolts that come with it, I stripped the head of the bolt by trying to use the allen wrench to get it to go further in. Thankfully, that particular bolt is covered by the steps that came with this, but how in the world I was able to get the bolt stuck and then strip it with using a manual allen wrench is beyond me.6) The process to put the mattress rods in was probably the most annoying aspect of the whole build. Of course, I was building this by myself, so maybe with a second person it wouldn't have been so bad, but keeping everything lined up with 9 rods that don't connect to anything on either side was a bit much. So, if you read through that whole thing, it may sound like it was a nightmare, it wasn't. But, there is a chance that one of those holes that they forget to drill might be a major support bolt, or one of those stripped out bolts that won't go all the way in might be where a kid needs to sit down to go down the slide, or the misnumbered parts may cause bigger issues.... Thankfully for me I was able to get through all of the issues without causing issues with the sturdiness, so I'm happy with the purchase.Read more

I’m no stranger to furniture assembly, so I can easily say this was the most difficult assembly bar none.Several of our pieces were mislabeled, which we unfortunately didn’t realize until well into the build. There were holes not completely drilled and, a first for me, washers that hadn’t been properly stamped out. There were also a variety of washer sizes even though we only required one particular size. The instructions were not clear for how crucial having the correct pieces in the correct position is.Thankfully, my husband is an engineer and between the two of us we were able to salvage the bed and make it safe for our kids. But I definitely wouldn’t recommend this particular bunk bed to anyone I like.

Questions & Answers

Can I use this without the bottom bunk?
No it supports the top
0 Helpful 0
Can the product be assemble the opposite side?
I would imagine that you could. The bars that support the decorative front and the slide are independent, and you could flip which sides they are on.

Can the product be assembled in the opposite side than the photos show
No it can not

Can the bottom bunk be raised?
Maybe, but you would have to drill new holes, but I would be concerned about how stable it would be as the supports for the bottom bunk are also the bolt points for the corner bars of the main frame. I mean, if you're only talking about a couple inches, it might not be a problem.

Twin

A Twin bed also referred to as a single bed is one of the smallest bed in the market with a dimension of 38’’ by 75’’. Its compact size makes it ideal for single sleepers may it be children or an adult living in a small space such as a studio apartment. It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Box Spring Not Required Platform

Platform beds do not require a box spring mattress, as they can support any mattress at all. This makes platform beds highly versatile beds that can be the main bed for a large family home, all the way to being the spare bed in a guest bedroom. The versatility of these beds makes them easy to use, and very easy to work into any bedroom. They can also provide a clean minimalist look, because there is no headboard sticking out and drawing attention. Platform beds are an excellent fit for anyone that wants their bed to be subtle and not draw too much attention. The box-spring-not-required-platform bed is easily customised to look exactly how you want, as there is no headboard dictating the overall style and look of the bed either. The platform bed is recommended for those times when you need a bed to fit into any bedroom setting and can be moved to another room at any time where it will also be a great fit.

Black

When trying to open up a smaller bedroom most people often think about bright colors with light hues, but also there is a stronger advantage for going darker and there is no better way to do that than with a black bed. Black is known to amplify small spaces and also set the right mood in your bedroom space. A black colored bed makes your bedroom fell more intimate and special in ways that you could have never imagined before, something that you would never achieve with any of those bright colors. There is nothing as important as setting the right mood in your bedroom especially if you are a couple since it’s the base of your relationship romantically. A black bed adds a touch of intrigue but still blends right into the bedroom décor colors creating a timeless look.

Clear

When trying to decide the best paint color for your bedroom, it can be really difficult trying to envision how a certain color will work with the bedroom’s lighting and furniture. However with a clear bed you are assured that it will bring the best no matter what color you chose for your bedroom walls and furniture. A clear bed brings about tranquility into your bedroom, creating the perfect relaxing space after a long day at work. A clear bed may not be common in many households but it’s the new trend especially with the younger generation who are more into creating a bedroom environment that perfectly fits into their mood. When designing your bedroom interior décor and you have chosen to go with a clear bed you can let your creativity run wild since the clear bed will blend seamlessly no matter what color you opt for.

Gray

Gray as a color can be somehow depressing and uninspiring especially in a darker bedroom, and as you already know sleeping in a gray bedroom is not as satisfying as sleeping in a brighter bedroom. Gray might not be as inviting as other colors but that doesn’t mean that a Gray bed is not a good choice for your bedroom. All you need to know before choosing a gray bed or any other no so bright colored bed is which bedroom décor is the best for that specific bed color. With a gray bed it can be really advantageous especially if you have an all-white bedroom since it will tone down the general look for your bedroom, creating some form of contrast. In case you have a bright bedroom and you wish to tone down I would definitely recommend for you a gray bed to help tone down your bedroom décor.

White

A white bed is definitely a show stopper, it’s plain and simple. Despite people referring to white as lack of other colors, a white bed makes quite a statement. It gives your bedroom space a more open and timeless feel, while allowing your bedroom décor to standout even more clearly. A bed with a pure shade of white energizes your entire space giving it a vibrant new look, giving you the illusion of a more light within your bedroom. What makes a white bed a favorite for many is the fact that white as a color creates a relaxing sleep environment. And as you know choosing the right color is very important, since color is like magic and can influence your state of mind and emotions. If there is one thing you should do right is get yourself a white bed and enjoy every single moment you spend in your bedroom.

Kids

The home is the training ground for children. It's where they learn and cultivate their values and character. So as a parent or a guardian, you play a big role in who they will become. Allow them to be themselves, to explore what they like, and to play with their imagination. Actually, you can start with their bedroom. How? Ask them what wall color they like. If you have an extra budget for a custom-made bed, ask your little one how he would like for it to look like. A car? A train? A spaceship? A dollhouse? Or if you can, build the bed yourself! It can be a great bonding time for you and your kids.

A kid's bed can also be space-saving with its built-in drawers, which can be a way to tidy up their toys and books. Beds with bedside table, where your child(ren) can study and play with papers and crayons, are also available in the market. Of course, kids love to play. Make bedtime fun with tent beds, beds with slide, and house-shaped kids' beds! Surely, your youngster will enjoy both his waking and sleeping hours.

Storage Included

When your bedroom space is small storage can be the biggest challenge you will encounter. Your closet could be a solution but not big enough to pack so many clothes. Well, you may want to buy a bigger cabinet, but you don’t want to pack so many dressers and cabinets into your space that it feels clunky and crowded. Storage beds are a fantastic way to get more space without adding extra furniture, and a lot of them are so stylishly designed you almost don’t notice the drawers are there. This bed design offers a great way to make the most of the space in your room, giving you a place to stash clothes, bedding, and more inside or beneath your bed frame. The best storage beds feature spacious compartments that are easy to access, and with tons of styles to choose from. The most common options are shelves built into the headboard or drawers built into the frame below the mattress. Depending on the reason you want space, a storage bed provides easy access, but if you're storing items that you don't need to get to very often, you can opt for a spacious platform beneath the bed that can be accessed when you lift the mattress. Ultimately, your choice will come down to what's most convenient for you.

One of the most asked question when it comes metallic beds is, are they safe for younger children? And the answer is always, yes they are. Without combining materials, you get a clean and uniform looking bed that will match any bedroom. The con of a single-material bed is that they won’t stand out as much as other beds, but this can also be a pro as well, as it means they’ll easily blend into any room and not take attention away from other features that are nearby.
