I am a little disappointed with this chest. I needed a large piece and it is as described as far as the size. The color was described as pecan and the picture showed it much lighter than it is. It is very dark almost merlot in color. It is very heavy and it was difficult to get it up to the second floor. It came fully assembled except attaching the feet. And the safety bracket to anchor it to the wall was missing. Some of the hardware had bumps, like it was not smoothly cast. All the drawers work smoothly but the top drawer edges were rough and I got a splinter. That was the only drawer that was not sanded smoothly. On one drawer lip there was a spot missing stain. I am going to hit it with a stain marker. I needed it now and di not want to return it. It overall is a nice piece the color is not really what I wanted.

Tall (Over 50 in.)

The tall height of the dresser and chest above 50 inches is the opposite of the low height. First, the available products are tall with many drawers up to 10. The staking of the drawers is the focal point of admiration for this height. Ideal for both small space and large space, this makes this height fictional. In small spaced houses, it maximizes the usage of space going upwards. This way individuals won't need to get a wide dresser and chest. Having this height for a dresser can be used in storing various clothes and accessories. You can even store items like belts, scarves, hats, and shoes in the dresser; due to the availability of space. This type of product height is suitable for small rooms and the most common is the gentlemen dresser. Since it doesn't consume much space, movement around the bedroom is easy and swift. The number of drawers also assists in reducing the amount of furniture in a bedroom.

Medium Density Fiberboard

Medium-density fiberboard is a material that consists of recycled solid wood leftovers, resin, and fibers all glued up together with wax. One huge advantage of a medium-density fiberboard dresser is that it is quite affordable as compared to solid wood dressers. This is because medium density fiberboards are readily available in the market. In addition, it's quite easy to paint when it comes to customizing your medium density fiberboard dresser, unlike a solid wood dresser. It also comes with its own disadvantages, such as it's relatively easy to damage, especially if you have little kids who are always playing around the house. Unlike most people would imagine, a medium-density fiberboard dresser is relatively heavier than a solid wood dresser, making it quite hard to move around when you rearrange your space. Plus, it cannot support too much weight as it risks breaking down.

Solid Wood

If you like having durable and outstanding material for your dresser &chest, solid wood will be a perfect choice for you. Solid wood is one of the best classic choices for dressers & chests. Firstly it is easy to craft and design elegant products. This wood is available in different colors and materials available in solid wood; hence making it easier for one to select in accordance to taste. Solid wood is durable and sturdy making both the dresser & chest last for a long time while giving you adequate or enough service. Care and maintenance for this wood are easy and to maintain one doesn't require constant care. However, solid wood is more susceptible to changes in climate, which may cause it to crack or warp. Generally, this material will produce a great dresser & chest for your room. It is also important to note solid can be a victim of termites and others wood borers. Ensure you check to see if your material was treated.

Wood

Wood is classified into two major categories, that's is softwood and hardwood. Softwood is easier to work with hence making elegant dressers and chests in your room. On the other hand, hardwood is the most durable material when it comes to furniture making. Wood is well treated to the longevity of dressers & chests. Users can pick either softwood or hardwood for their preference. Both kinds of wood need care and maintenance and from time to time wipe your wood perfectly. If you love personalized touch in your dressers and chest, you can always go for these materials because it's easier to work with compared to metals. Wood does not rust but if not well treated it can get attacked by wold borers or termites. A wooden dresser can be enhanced by applying a finish to give your dresser an attractive final look. Wood is sturdy and durable hence making your dresser & chest give you service for decades.

8

If you love the uniformity of your dresser and chest or you need more storage space, one can consider eight drawers. This number of drawers usually forms a uniform pattern and the storage is enough for multiple usages at home. The drawer's pattern can vary from one chest or drawer and vice versa. The sizes of these drawers also vary, for instance, some dressers have small drawers and bigger drawers aligned together. With a chest, you can choose a uniform drawer arrangement. Other eight drawers chest and dressers can be taller, especially the chest but the dresser is minimized or customized to fit two rows. This number of drawers is suitable for children's bedrooms or even parents' bedrooms. Having multiple drawers implies one will have more storage space for his or her items. Eight drawers chest can also be used to showcase elegance in a bedroom. Most chests have unique displays that make a room appear organized and concise.

Standard (38 - 58 in.)

If you’re looking for a dresser and chest that will fit taller items or stacks, think about getting a standard dresser and chest. Standard width is the most common measurement in most dressers and chests. A standard dresser has between six and nine drawers, this allows users to have ample space to store their items. The width is also perfect in most bedrooms because one can easily navigate his or her bedroom. The doors have enough room to swing without hitting the dresser. The top surface is also a great fit to allow users to decorate or dress the products. Standard width is ideal for both large and small-spaced rooms. In general, the standard width is universal to fit in any room set up. It also allows easier navigation around the bedroom without having users squeeze themselves to pass through tiny spaced bedrooms. The width can be dressed to add more elegance to the dresser and chest.

Pine

Pine wood is a popular choice for furniture making. This softwood variety is easy to work with, dense, and doesn’t split easily. Pine wood has a light-colored appearance with plenty of wood grains and knots throughout the wood, making it a distinctive wood type. Pine wood dressers or chests are often available with intricate wood work or fine details, as pine wood (being a softwood variety) is very malleable and can maintain its strength. The light, naturally bright tone of pine wood makes it a beautiful complement to a range of home décor motifs, including traditional/classic, coastal, boho/eclectic, and minimalist. The appearance of pine is more minimalistic compared to other wood types, like Maple or Oak, which is more traditional. Pine is a strong and resilient wood type, making it a great choice for a dresser or chest. The natural beauty of pine will enhance a calm and serene ambience in your home living spaces and will provide a gorgeous focal point in your home.

Softwoods

Softwoods are wood types that come from conifer trees, such as fir, cedar, and spruce. Softwood tree types grow faster than hardwood, and are less dense than hardwood types, as a result, softwoods are easier to work with in terms of craftsmanship; you can add gorgeous hardware to further enhance the look of the furniture. Softwood dressers and chests have a lower risk of splitting when inserting nails or screws, making it an ideal choice for use in furniture pieces. Softwood dressers tend to be less expensive than other wood types, as softwood trees grow faster than hardwood trees. Softwood dressers vary in appearance; softwoods such as pine have plenty of knots throughout the wood grain, making it an ideal choice to enhance a rustic design style. Softwood dressers or chests also have a classic wood smell, which can enhance a cozy atmosphere in your home. The three types of softwood that are most often used for furniture making are pine, fir and cedar. Each of these wood types is beautiful, rich and warm. Any dresser or chest made from a softwood wood type will enhance a cozy and elegant style.
