Can you tell me if the taupe color is a pinkish beige, as the name seems to indicate, or is it a true beige, or cream color? The headboard is titled, Misty Beige, yet the colored is labeled taupe. This is somewhat confusing.

Hi Melanie, a 14" inch mattress will cover up majority of the headboard; the ideal mattress size is a 10" or 12". However a 14 inch can still be used with this frame if preferred. Thank you.
