It is very sturdy with the steel base. It does wobble a little while typing but that is to be expected. The desk top is large enough to have my Toshiba laptop with 15.6 inch diagonal display, mouse pad, and 2 cellphones on it with room to spare for my coffee cup. I have ordered a Tyrone Gooseneck Holder for my tablet which hopefully will clip onto my lower steel base so I can use that with it. I have had it November and love it. It meets my needs and fits in a small area of my living room as well under my low couch without the wheels. It is easy to adjust the level and angle of the desk. I am very happy with it!

There are two (2) things that should be changed: 1. There are only set height points to which the top can be raised, this is not convenient as couches and chairs are different heights. 2. They should ad a non slip sticker or small bottom runner to help eliminate objects from sliding off the top while tilted.

It does what I want it to do, which is to simply hold a book at a good angle on one side of me, while I type on my laptop (on my lap). I'm not using it to hold my laptop. The device seems just a little rickety or wobbly, but not like it's going to fall over or anything. I did try it with my laptop and it works like that, but I like having my laptop in my lap, and using the table for a book I am reading and citing from. I can pile a few books on the other side ("mouse pad").What you get: a lot of little things in plastic bags, along with three metal frame parts, and two wooden desk parts. Comes with the two tools you need to put it together (hex & wrench). It took some mental work to put all the parts together. Not hard, really, but you do have to keep track of all the pieces. Took me around 20 minutes.I was thinking of ordering the "Techni Mobili" one, but it's 3 inches taller at its lowest setting, so that was a no-go. I wanted something that would be at reading level when I'm sitting on the sofa. There were two problems: (A) one of the plastic "bumpers" on the base was busted up into several pieces upon delivery. (B) one of the cross-bars that go under the "mouse pad" part was a little warped, and when I screwed it onto the wooden "mouse pad" part, it stripped the screw hole. It still holds okay, but it was a flaw in the product (bent metal piece). The company says to contact them by email, so I will do that and see if either of these problems can be fixed. Maybe they can send me spare parts. The unit looks very nice. It rolls around okay. I can use it for what I needed it for. It wasn't too expensive. It would probably make a good bed table for anyone who likes to use their laptop in bed (so long as you sit close to the edge of the mattress). It is a very good height for those who like to sit on a sofa with their laptop. When I rotate the main table part, I can still cross my legs underneath the table, and it puts the laptop screen at eye level. I originally thought I would order the Techni Mobili because the name sounds nifty, but then I noticed that the height is three inches taller at its lowest setting, so that doesn't work on a sofa. Also, the One Space model has a better design for the base (5 wheels) that makes it a little sturdier. It looks kind of formidable coming out of the box, with all those little pieces, but if an old lady like me can put it together, then anybody can.BTW, I'm ordering some velcro straps to hold my open book in position on the desktop. Will report on these later.Velcro straps: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I8VCSK2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Just to add, because some people reported it wouldn't go under their sofa: the distance from floor to top of the "base" = a little over 2 3/4 inches, or 7 centimeters. Also - the unit comes with some kind of plastic deal that you can put over the base where the screws hold it together (to hide the screws), but I didn't put than on it. I think it looks better without it, and if you do put it on, just know that it will raise the base another half inch. It's really not needed, and I think it looks better without it.Read more

It was as advertised. It was easy to put together. It was okay materials, a little on the cheap side but acceptable for the price. It works well except don't put anything too heavy on it or it tends to tilt a bit even when the knobs are tightened down well. A normal laptop with a mouse and a notepad work great on here. We have been using it for about a month and no problems at all. I would buy another one.

Got this for my laptop to work from my couch with. While its a bit too tall on the lowest setting for my couch I can still use it without the screw knobs and its just low enough. I had to buy adhesive textured stickers because my laptop kept sliding off the edge while the surface was slightly tilted.

This was a gift for my mom, and she absolutely loves it. It is easy to move with the wheels. Tray is solid. The fabulous feature of being adjustable also comes with a downfall. It is difficult to tighten the adjustable features enough that the tray does not move. When any pressure is placed on the outsides of the tray, there is a potential for the tray to tilt and items to fall. Luckily, this was discovered by simply pressing on the tray and not actually having anything fall.

Not bad at all! It's a little wobbly which is expected for the price but not terribly noticeable. The color is nice as well!

Really like this. Use it for a piece of musical piece of hardware. If I had only one piece of criticism it would be that the wheels are a little cheap and don’t roll smoothly, but it’s really not bad enough to annoy me, I’m just being knit picky.

My biggest disappointment is the wheels are too tall to fit under my couch. I am petite and like to lean against the arm of the couch with my legs on the cushions, so I planned to use this desk sideways. I also tried sitting forward but the desk does not go low enough.Luckily I have a (poang) chair from Ikea, but it is complicated getting in and out without tripping. Again, the desk is too high/far away if I set it outside the chair legs, so I do some crazy ninja moves to get in and out without knocking everything over. I like the flat desk, and there is enough room to use a mouse - even if it feels uncomfortable with my wrist on the plastic stopper bar. I wonder why they don't make the stops half the size? Anyway, the desk is ok so far. Maybe tall people with high furniture and long arms would love it. Meanwhile, I'm getting my homework done so that's something.

I likely would have rated this desk a 5-star, as it is very nicely configured. It gives me a great price to work on my laptop from my easy chair, without going over to my primary desk. I really thought I was going to love it, however the weld on the primary table beam must not have been fully complete, as over the first ten days of use it continued to sag downward, until yesterday when I came home to find my laptop on the floor, and the surface it had been on laying on the ground next to it. I am going to have to return, or submit a warranty claim - very disappointing, Not sure if I will replace it or not yet, as I am afraid of having it happen again. Like I said, style great, would have been a fabulous product, actual end result very unhappy.

Assembly instructions included and fairly straight forward, but the main support on mine is clearly not straight. Yes, I know its supposed to be angled when looking at it from the side and it is supposed to tilt front to back. It is NOT supposed to be angled when looking at it from the front/back.Top is not even close to being level. Now I can put a wedge in there in fix it which I will probably do because the of the hassle of taking it apart and getting it back into the box to return it, but WOW is this thing crooked. See pictures. You don't even really need the level I so helpfully provided to see how crooked it is. I've also provided a picture from the side to show that I put the support on there the correct wayThe top was also scratched in two places right out of the box. I don't know I may send it back anyway since it really is crappy.

It is delivered as advertised. It isn't difficult to assemble. They even provide tools, but, not too surprisingly, they aren't of high quality. You would be well advised to use your own. It makes the job easier. Another plus was the thoughtful inclusion of a few extra nuts, bolts etc in case there was an error in packaging those. There wasn't, but I appreciated the gesture.I didn't buy this for use with a laptop. The configuration of my office, the kind of things I do, and the configuration of my desk makes it necessary for me to have something that holds the keyboard for my desktop computer. This not only fits the bill, but the side desktop for the mouse is a plus for me. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for.As I said assembly is not difficult, but the system for fastening the stationary top didn't work well and one of the plastic inserts that is designed to hold the screws was either stripped before it came here or I stripped it when assembling. I could not fasten it all the way down, but I did manage to fasten it well enough to use as intended.Another feature that pushed me to buy this was that two of the casters lock. I have hardwood floors and the stand sits on a protective plastic mat. Unfortunately the stand still skids on the mat at the slightest provocation and I am forever putting it back in place. I will not put a cup of coffee on it as I hoped (and as the photo shows). I doubt this would be a problem if the floor was carpeted. Heavier rubber casters would be better, but might leave scuff marks on the floor. The most annoying effect is that the larger top, which can be positioned any way that is comfortable for the user, jiggles while typing. If you are the kind of person who needs to look at the keyboard in order to type, you're going to get seasick. The frame isn't sturdy enough to resist this kind of movement. That would require a heavier gauge steel, possibly a more secure way of holding things together, and of course a significantly higher price. The design is perfect for me which is why I'm so disappointed. I put my laptop (17") on the stand and it fits perfectly. It jiggles just as much, and no matter if you look at the keyboard or the screen, you're going to have to tolerate the movement of the stand. At least my monitor doesn't move when I type.To summarize: this device is as advertised, thoughtfully designed, and it is probably worth what is being charged, but if you are a constant user of a computer, the movement of the stand could quickly become annoying. And spending more for a sturdier stand might make you happier.Read more

How tall is this at its tallest setting? I'm looking for a a computer desk I can use while standing, not sitting. Thank you!
The tallest setting is 36.5 inches.

Can this be used as a standing desk?
One way to get a rough idea would be to take your inseam length, add the length to the floor from the bottom of your pants as worn, then add the length from the crotch of your pants to your elbows. If that is more than 36.5 inches, it might not be tall enough. You may actually need to add more length (distance) than th… see more

Does the one piece product also have a piece to block laptop from sliding off when it's angled?
The "dual surface" table has the piece to block a laptop from sliding. The "single surface" table does not have this piece. You have to select which surface you want to buy.
