All of the bed slats were measured perfectly which isn’t always the cast with these bunk beds. I was able to assemble this bed by myself in a reasonable amount of time. I had a few missteps that can be eliminated if you spend the time reading all the way through the instructions. For example, we wanted the stairs on the right and you have to follow Type 2 instructions immediately to do that. If you want the stairs on the left you follow Type one instructions. If you don’t notice this right from the start you will haves to back track a lot of work like yours truly…Ouch! The most challenging thing to do by yourself was placing the slats on the top bunk. The instructions have you do this action AFTER you secure all of the other slats. It took some time to figure out that you have to secure the slats in a pile (one on top of the other). I wrapped the pile several times in masking tape and walked them up the stairs and placed the pile before I unwrapped it. You can then move the slats one at a time down the top bunk. My wife helped me slide the slats down the bed. Finally, after I secured all of the slats on the middle/ Dual Twin/ King section, I put “sliders” under both sides of the stairs and under the head of the bed. I was able to position the bed where I wanted it before I removed the sliders.P.S. You will have a hard time finding a mattress for the trundle. It measures 74” by 39”. We could not find one except a very cheap, useless 5” depth mattress that was back ordered for 2 months. We are going with a foam 6 “ mattress that is 75” by 39”. It is fine when the trundle is out and you have “squeeze it” underneath or store the mattress on the top bunk.P.P.S. A King mattress is way too big for the middle section. So you will have to order two twin mattresses. Although the two sections measure 76x39, When you pull the section out you lose 2” in width. Therefore, each twin can only be 38” wide.Read more

Description doesn't inform you that the steps could be placed on either side. This was an awesome purchase and exactly what I thought I was buying.

Stairs not fully squared, directions also not super easy to follow. But in the end it's a great bed.

Easy to assemble, just follow the instructions. Great design. The bottom bed is a king size. Very large and cozy space. There is enough head room, even for adults. Wiggles more then I'd like, but just gotta tighten a few screws every once in a while.Highly recommend if you have the space for it.

Very well made bed and materials. Everything was labeled and fit well. The instructions could have been put together easier since they merged the instructions to build the bed together between Type 1 and Type 2 build choices, which was confusing, but it didn't throw a huge kink into assembly. The shipping was super fast even though it said it would take over a week (got it in 3 days). The price is extremely low compared to other similar beds, so don't let that deter you if you think it's because this bed is less quality than others because it is very well made. You can't find hardly any twin over king bunk beds and this one even has a trundle.

Questions & Answers

Which side do the stairs have to go on?
If you carefully read the instructions, they give you a way to install the stairs on either side. I don’t have the instructions with me or I would scan them in a and send them to you. However, no worries you will be able to put the stairs where you want them

Hi, I need to know if the mattress is king, normal king or california king.
None of the above… my normal king did not work and we had to order special twin mattresses to fit. I don’t totally remember but I think the measurements are 77 or 78 by 74”. I don’t have access to the file for the mattresses but the measurements are in the product description. We ordered 4 twin mattresses for this b… see more

There says that maximum weight should be 200/400 pounds, why that diference? And the weight of the mattresses are apart of this weights?
There are slats Under the mattresses. I am 200 lbs and I have been on the top bunk to make up the bed. I would NOT sleep up there myself.

Why wouldn't a queen size mattress fit the bottom bed if it expands all the way to fit a king mattress? I am wanting to use this as a twin over queen.
As I said in the video, this bed is 74” from left to right. If one of the measurements of your Queen sized mattress is 74”, you should be fine. The depth can be anywhere from 78” to twin size. Measure your Queen size mattress first to make sure. Our King did not fit this bed. We had to buy two twin mattresses and … see more

King

A king size bed is the largest standard bed that you will find in the market plus it measures 76 inches by 80 inches, making it a great and popular choice among couple. Single sleepers with the proper finances also enjoy the luxury and comfort of having a huge bed all to themselves. The King Size bed also comes in different variations which are the California size bed that’s 4 inches longer than a normal king size bed and 4 inches narrower, another variation is the California king size bed, the ideal choice if you are sharing your bed with someone who is more than 6 feet tall. If you are couple looking for a bed with extra comfort and space for the both of you I would highly recommend the King size bed as it’s a combination of unmatched comfort and luxury.

Twin

A Twin bed also referred to as a single bed is one of the smallest bed in the market with a dimension of 38’’ by 75’’. Its compact size makes it ideal for single sleepers may it be children or an adult living in a small space such as a studio apartment. It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Gray

Gray as a color can be somehow depressing and uninspiring especially in a darker bedroom, and as you already know sleeping in a gray bedroom is not as satisfying as sleeping in a brighter bedroom. Gray might not be as inviting as other colors but that doesn’t mean that a Gray bed is not a good choice for your bedroom. All you need to know before choosing a gray bed or any other no so bright colored bed is which bedroom décor is the best for that specific bed color. With a gray bed it can be really advantageous especially if you have an all-white bedroom since it will tone down the general look for your bedroom, creating some form of contrast. In case you have a bright bedroom and you wish to tone down I would definitely recommend for you a gray bed to help tone down your bedroom décor.

White

A white bed is definitely a show stopper, it’s plain and simple. Despite people referring to white as lack of other colors, a white bed makes quite a statement. It gives your bedroom space a more open and timeless feel, while allowing your bedroom décor to standout even more clearly. A bed with a pure shade of white energizes your entire space giving it a vibrant new look, giving you the illusion of a more light within your bedroom. What makes a white bed a favorite for many is the fact that white as a color creates a relaxing sleep environment. And as you know choosing the right color is very important, since color is like magic and can influence your state of mind and emotions. If there is one thing you should do right is get yourself a white bed and enjoy every single moment you spend in your bedroom.

Bunk Loft

Sometimes, bunk beds and loft beds are often being used interchangeably. Don't fall for it. These two bed types have a difference. Yes, you may notice that they both have a ladder. However, a bunk bed has at least two beds stacked on top of each other and a loft bed, though a double-level bed as well, is only a single bed. Bunk beds are commonly seen in hostels, military camps, and dormitories. In addition, some of this kind come with a trundle or pull-out bed that can accommodate one more person.

On the other hand, loft beds allow you to use the space beneath your bed as a study or work area or as a closet. If the time will come when you decide that you don't need a bunk bed anymore, don't worry, you can convert it to a loft bed. Simply and carefully remove the bottom bunk. Depending on your needs, both bunk and loft beds are space-saving.

Drawers

A cluttered bedroom is not pleasing and relaxing at all. Sometimes, though your things are well-organized, seeing them still makes your space crowded. Two options are available: throw away your stuff or upgrade your regular bed into a drawer or storage bed. For sure, you will choose the latter, right?

Space-saving and multifunctional, drawer beds can make you feel like you don't need shelves and cabinets anymore. They come with 2 drawers, 4 drawers, 2 full and 2 half drawers, or end drawers built in the bed frame. Full ottoman and half ottoman are also available, where the entire bed offers hidden storage space. Drawer beds can also benefit your stuff since they are hidden, they won't accumulate dust. Finding them can also be easy for you because you have just one place to look at. After all, a tidy room can make your sleep better and more comfortable. And, yes, there's no such thing as too much storage.

Kids

The home is the training ground for children. It's where they learn and cultivate their values and character. So as a parent or a guardian, you play a big role in who they will become. Allow them to be themselves, to explore what they like, and to play with their imagination. Actually, you can start with their bedroom. How? Ask them what wall color they like. If you have an extra budget for a custom-made bed, ask your little one how he would like for it to look like. A car? A train? A spaceship? A dollhouse? Or if you can, build the bed yourself! It can be a great bonding time for you and your kids.

A kid's bed can also be space-saving with its built-in drawers, which can be a way to tidy up their toys and books. Beds with bedside table, where your child(ren) can study and play with papers and crayons, are also available in the market. Of course, kids love to play. Make bedtime fun with tent beds, beds with slide, and house-shaped kids' beds! Surely, your youngster will enjoy both his waking and sleeping hours.

Slat

A good bed must always have a strong base. The slat bed design is a type of base made for a bed. They are a series of connected bars that lie across the width of the frame. The designs offer great support for the mattress, hence providing good support to your back when sleeping and allows good ventilation to the mattress. Good ventilation for the mattress keeps them cleaner and more hygienic. The slats are made from strong wood ensuring the durability of your bed. These bases provide good firm support and are a simple and cheaper option. The slatted design comes in two designs to choose from. You can choose from two types of slats - solid slats or sprung slats. They also offer a good leveling of your mattress, allowing it to last longer.

Storage Included

When your bedroom space is small storage can be the biggest challenge you will encounter. Your closet could be a solution but not big enough to pack so many clothes. Well, you may want to buy a bigger cabinet, but you don’t want to pack so many dressers and cabinets into your space that it feels clunky and crowded. Storage beds are a fantastic way to get more space without adding extra furniture, and a lot of them are so stylishly designed you almost don’t notice the drawers are there. This bed design offers a great way to make the most of the space in your room, giving you a place to stash clothes, bedding, and more inside or beneath your bed frame. The best storage beds feature spacious compartments that are easy to access, and with tons of styles to choose from. The most common options are shelves built into the headboard or drawers built into the frame below the mattress. Depending on the reason you want space, a storage bed provides easy access, but if you're storing items that you don't need to get to very often, you can opt for a spacious platform beneath the bed that can be accessed when you lift the mattress. Ultimately, your choice will come down to what's most convenient for you.

There’s no time like the present to upgrade your bed and mattress! A good night’s sleep depends on a high quality, comfortable mattress and an eye-catching, practical bed. Single Material

When you need to kick back and unwind on your own, you need a single-material bed. Single-material beds are an excellent choice for anyone that likes simplicity and practicality. Without combining materials, you get a clean and uniform looking bed that will match any bedroom. The con of a single-material bed is that they won’t stand out as much as other beds, but this can also be a pro as well, as it means they’ll easily blend into any room and not take attention away from other features that are nearby. The single-material is recommended if you’re after a bed for a minimalist setting, something that looks very simple and neutral - then you’re going to be satisfied by the single-material bed. Single-material beds also look great when you have two separate beds in the same room - the single-material look really gives the room a strong, matching and consistent appearance.
