I purchased this bed hoping to just add a mattress on the platform, however, after putting a 10 inch mattress just on the slats, there was at least a 4 inch gap from the top of the mattress to the bottom of the headboard. Needless to say, it looked quite silly. So, I quickly ran out and purchased a box spring for the bed. After getting a box spring & putting it on the slats, you can tell by the one photo, that the box spring drops down a couple of inches onto the slats. The tufted headboard and the fabric front and side rails are very well made and make the bed look more expensive than it is. The bed is packaged very well and I was very impressed with how compact the packaging was. On the backside of the tufted headboard was a zippered compartment where all of the other parts and hardware for the bed were stored. It was quite easy to put together and took no time at all to assemble. Overall, I am very happy with the quality of the bed, but beware that you DO need a box spring for this bed.

Great bed! I was missing one tension washer but otherwise it was a breeze to put together (I’m a late 30s mom) and it looks great. It’s in my daughters room and she’s already been jumping on it, so it’s definitely sturdy. It does require a box spring. If you try to not use a box spring you’ll need more support slats. The picture shows the legs off of the headboard being black, but I was pleasantly surprised that mine were all fabric covered. Looks much more expensive than it is.

Love this set! I have no complaints! The bed was so easy to put together, there was no confusion. The bed looks great put together and looks like a bed set that's sold for a lot more than what I paid.

The box it was packaged in was very heavy. I had a difficult time moving it by myself, but was easily able to put the bed together once I got all the peices out. I have had it for a few months now and love how it looks. I think the quality is great for its price.

Purchased for the price & you get what you pay for, so I can’t complain. As far as ratings go, however, I’m giving this frame a 2 because it is very thin/flimsy and because the material WREAKS!! I have used an upholstery cleaner on it, used a ton of febreeze and even essential oils, but they all fade and it’s back to this nasty stench. Good short term solution, but wouldn’t recommend long-term!

We ordered this bed for our oldest daughter as well as a memory foam mattress, upon inspection the bed frame looked great, and initially we were happy with the purchase but once my husband assembled the bed, it was quite evident that it is cheaply made (hence the price) the piece that connects the two side rails split right in half (it is cheap, thin partical board material)...the other issue is that it is advertised as a platform bed but having just the 10 inch memory mattress on top of the slates leaves a huge gap between the headboard and the mattress (it looks ugly)... we were pretty disappointed with this purchase, my husband plans to modify it to make it work.

first the backrest came broken from two sides, I was going to keep it and fix it but then it only came with 4 sticks as a support for the mattress I put it together yesterday and today a stick broke
