I am a single mother of boys. My 8 year old and I + some hard work and 5 hours later we completed this bunk bed. We did use power tools, that really helped speed things up. The instructions are not the best, step by step would of been more helpful; however if you take your time to really look at it, you will get it right the first time and ours turned out perfect! Nothing came damaged. JUST BEWARE... the hardware set offers no extra pieces. So if you lose one piece you could be out of luck. Please be careful.

I built this in about 4 hours with a power drill. It is very well designed. It looks great and my kids love it. If bought from a local furniture store this would easily be over a thousand dollars. Some of the pieces in my box were damaged during shipping but the seller took care of it immediately. I would definitely buy again if needed.

This bed is awesome for my toddlers. It is low, which is nice that I dont have to worry about them being up so high as some bunk beds are very tall. My husband put it together relatively easy. It did take several hours to put together. But he didn't seem to have any issues with the instructions and the hardware was all there.

It's perfect especially if your looking for a product to make as much room as possible to have your kids play. The only snag for me would be a couple of the pieces (stairs) were not painted properly. The wood slates for the mattress weren't measured right. Otherwise than that great turnout.

My kids love this, although we did have to fix the really sharp edges to the steps and side pieces. But it's doing great so far!

Great bed with decent instructions. Since my husband and I usually are at each other’s throats when we do any kind of build project together, I’ll take this as a win. It took us about 3 hours with one break—I think it would be difficult to set up alone. I love that it’s much lower to the ground than other bunk beds. I’m 5’2 for reference and the top bunk is shoulder height for me. My kids are having a blast with it. I do wish the railing was higher—we bought good quality 8 inch mattresses. To make up for the height, I bought an additional railing that I’ll put up when it arrives later this week for some added security. We also added curtains to the lower level so my little guy felt like his bed was special too. Overall, great purchase and looking forward to many happy nights.

I’ve read reviews where people complain on how long it took them to assemble. For me, it was very straightforward and easy to assemble. The instructions and diagrams were very helpful. My only complaint and reason for 4/5 stars is that I believe that it could come with some caps or hole covers to cover up the numerous holes used by the screws and bolts. I have crawled up on the top bunk and slid down the slide multiple times and I weight over 180 lbs. The beds and slide are very sturdy.

We have been looking for a bunk bed for months, and finally decided on this bed. We wanted a bed with both shelves and a staircase and this one had the perfect design. However, we are considering to return this bed, as 1) the material is of poor quality 2) paint stinks and gives us a headache even after a few weeks of assembling this (we assembled this during the Christmas holiday, and it stinks even today). 3) Our 4 year old broke her arm after falling from the bed. When we did research we read through product descriptions, reviews, and we didn’t see anywhere that it wasn’t safe for someone younger than 6 to be on the upper bunk, as many reviews mentioned kids age 2 - 4, and from the height of this bed, it seems to be more for younger kids than the older kids. However when we finished assembling the bed, there was a sticker stating “never allow a child under 6 years on upper bunk”. We wish we had known that before purchasing and assembling the bed. We thought it might still be ok, as the bed is relatively low, and as there are many reviews from happy parents and their children, who are younger than 6. Bad choice for us, as our little one broke her arm and now in cast. So if you are reading this review, you know it may not be suitable for every child…sadly. As for the poor material, bed slat material is pinewood, but not solid like IKEA’s bed slat. It is made of compressed wood and it feels just ok, but not very sturdy. Entire bed feels quite soft, not as hard, solid, sturdy as we want it to be. It arrived with few broken, cracked parts. As mentioned above, the paint stinks even after 2-3 weeks, and we are wondering if it’s safe to inhale this. We have wiped the bed clean several times, and it seems to get better a little but far from smell-free. Kids are super happy with the slide, but it’s rather steep with a very shallow frame and we worry they may fall over from the sides. So for our experience and quality of the bed, our rating is 1 star. We like the design but that’s about it.However, the seller has been very kind and helpful, he went above and beyond to accommodate us. First we contacted the seller, inquiring if it’s possible to get the shipment earlier than later of the time frame shown on Amazon’s delivery estimate time, since we are expecting another child and we need to move older kids before the next one comes. He was so accommodating and sent us the bed right away, way before the Amazon estimate (It had ETA Dec 30-Jan 7, but we have received the shipments Dec 19-22). We noticed broken parts when we started to assemble the bed, the box was undamaged, but few parts inside were cracked, so we contacted the seller again, and he was extremely helpful and sent us the replacement parts without delay. He is quick to respond, very helpful and amicable. We are very grateful and satisfied with how he handled our queries and requests. We would rate 5 for his customer service, or 10 if we can. So we will leave 3 stars. 1 for the quality of the bed and description not mentioning it’s not suitable for kids under 6, and 5 for his customer service.Read more

Twin

A Twin bed also referred to as a single bed is one of the smallest bed in the market with a dimension of 38’’ by 75’’. Its compact size makes it ideal for single sleepers may it be children or an adult living in a small space such as a studio apartment. It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Box Spring Not Required Platform

Platform beds do not require a box spring mattress, as they can support any mattress at all. This makes platform beds highly versatile beds that can be the main bed for a large family home, all the way to being the spare bed in a guest bedroom. The versatility of these beds makes them easy to use, and very easy to work into any bedroom. They can also provide a clean minimalist look, because there is no headboard sticking out and drawing attention. Platform beds are an excellent fit for anyone that wants their bed to be subtle and not draw too much attention. The box-spring-not-required-platform bed is easily customised to look exactly how you want, as there is no headboard dictating the overall style and look of the bed either. The platform bed is recommended for those times when you need a bed to fit into any bedroom setting and can be moved to another room at any time where it will also be a great fit.

Gray

Gray as a color can be somehow depressing and uninspiring especially in a darker bedroom, and as you already know sleeping in a gray bedroom is not as satisfying as sleeping in a brighter bedroom. Gray might not be as inviting as other colors but that doesn’t mean that a Gray bed is not a good choice for your bedroom. All you need to know before choosing a gray bed or any other no so bright colored bed is which bedroom décor is the best for that specific bed color. With a gray bed it can be really advantageous especially if you have an all-white bedroom since it will tone down the general look for your bedroom, creating some form of contrast. In case you have a bright bedroom and you wish to tone down I would definitely recommend for you a gray bed to help tone down your bedroom décor.

White

A white bed is definitely a show stopper, it’s plain and simple. Despite people referring to white as lack of other colors, a white bed makes quite a statement. It gives your bedroom space a more open and timeless feel, while allowing your bedroom décor to standout even more clearly. A bed with a pure shade of white energizes your entire space giving it a vibrant new look, giving you the illusion of a more light within your bedroom. What makes a white bed a favorite for many is the fact that white as a color creates a relaxing sleep environment. And as you know choosing the right color is very important, since color is like magic and can influence your state of mind and emotions. If there is one thing you should do right is get yourself a white bed and enjoy every single moment you spend in your bedroom.

Bunk Loft

Sometimes, bunk beds and loft beds are often being used interchangeably. Don't fall for it. These two bed types have a difference. Yes, you may notice that they both have a ladder. However, a bunk bed has at least two beds stacked on top of each other and a loft bed, though a double-level bed as well, is only a single bed. Bunk beds are commonly seen in hostels, military camps, and dormitories. In addition, some of this kind come with a trundle or pull-out bed that can accommodate one more person.

On the other hand, loft beds allow you to use the space beneath your bed as a study or work area or as a closet. If the time will come when you decide that you don't need a bunk bed anymore, don't worry, you can convert it to a loft bed. Simply and carefully remove the bottom bunk. Depending on your needs, both bunk and loft beds are space-saving.

Kids

The home is the training ground for children. It's where they learn and cultivate their values and character. So as a parent or a guardian, you play a big role in who they will become. Allow them to be themselves, to explore what they like, and to play with their imagination. Actually, you can start with their bedroom. How? Ask them what wall color they like. If you have an extra budget for a custom-made bed, ask your little one how he would like for it to look like. A car? A train? A spaceship? A dollhouse? Or if you can, build the bed yourself! It can be a great bonding time for you and your kids.

A kid's bed can also be space-saving with its built-in drawers, which can be a way to tidy up their toys and books. Beds with bedside table, where your child(ren) can study and play with papers and crayons, are also available in the market. Of course, kids love to play. Make bedtime fun with tent beds, beds with slide, and house-shaped kids' beds! Surely, your youngster will enjoy both his waking and sleeping hours.

Storage Included

When your bedroom space is small storage can be the biggest challenge you will encounter. Your closet could be a solution but not big enough to pack so many clothes. Well, you may want to buy a bigger cabinet, but you don’t want to pack so many dressers and cabinets into your space that it feels clunky and crowded. Storage beds are a fantastic way to get more space without adding extra furniture, and a lot of them are so stylishly designed you almost don’t notice the drawers are there. This bed design offers a great way to make the most of the space in your room, giving you a place to stash clothes, bedding, and more inside or beneath your bed frame. The best storage beds feature spacious compartments that are easy to access, and with tons of styles to choose from. The most common options are shelves built into the headboard or drawers built into the frame below the mattress. Depending on the reason you want space, a storage bed provides easy access, but if you're storing items that you don't need to get to very often, you can opt for a spacious platform beneath the bed that can be accessed when you lift the mattress. Ultimately, your choice will come down to what's most convenient for you.

If you want your bed to look elegant, go for espresso wood. It will also appear neat because dark color can magically tuck away dirt and dust. When under direct lighting, espresso gives out red hues. Cabinets, tables, and shelves that are in espresso sell more than those in light colors because many people opt for a traditional and classic look.
