We picked this bed because we have a small space. Dimensions are very accurate.1.Double check were the air vents are, solid sides limit where we can actually put the bed and we will be only using one drawer due to the vent.2.the drawers the are on rollers on the floor- doesn't work great on semi shag carpets3. Mattress size for top 6 " and we got 6 inch for bottom (up to a 10 in is probably fine). 6inch Works great and doesn't cut into ladder. There is a few inches of a gap with the mattress if it is up against the wall you have a few inches from the ladder or bring mattress forward and you have a gap in back of the bed.4. All parts were there some labeled differently but worked out having all pieces. Missing only two screws for the ladder and we ended up with extra long screws that did not work for ladder. Top bunk slats really should be painted espresso just ugly to look up at.5. Only piece that is not super sturdy is the top bunk safety. It really should be attached to the side but like having the option to put ladder on one side or other.

The product is good for the value. The bed and adjacent stairs are very sturdy. The bottom of the drawer is the flimsiest of the product and is not built on a track (which is actually a positive; less assembling, and one less thing that can malfunction later). The instructions are average at best. Towards the end and especially with drawer assembly, you must heavily rely on the pictures. One opportunity for improvement for the company is to include adhesive non-skid strips for the stairs and to indicate direction of parts (i.e. facing stairs, or facing outward vs inward) either on the piece or in the directions. Also, avoid printing on the pieces, only on the wooden ends, as with most of the parts. Another good idea would be to provide backing similar to the "under stair storage", to go under the top bunk to cover the rails/rungs. A sturdier drawer bottom would be better. Overall, very happy with the product! Pro tip: This project is exorbitantly easier to assemble with a drill! I could not imagine doing without. Invest in one, if you can!Read more

For some that are just beginning to assemble furniture, I'd recommend serious consideration of having a pro put this together. While not an overly complex piece to assemble, it's large, instructions leave a bit to be desired, and without some power tools to assist in a LOT of allen wrenching your hands will cramp--guaranteed.With that said, it's a beautifully simple bunk bed and I don't know a 4 year old that wouldn't light up seeing this as their new bed!You don't need box springs for your mattresses. That'll shave a couple hundred off overall costs. We had no issues with shipping damages. Packaging was ample and well cushioned.

This bed is for my little one who will soon be sharing a room with her little sister. The weight limit is definitely a concern of mine, because the slats do not seem sturdy. The drawers are not on tracks, but rollers. I don’t anticipate this piece of furniture lasting 6+years.The shipping of this bed was very frustrating, the bed is sent in 2 boxes. FedEx delivered one box to me, the other box to another customer. It took 3 weeks before it was all straightened out and I had received all the pieces to the bed. The company did not refund me any percentage of the money.

Bought this bunk bed primarly for my 11-year old , but she's sharing it with an older sister. Overall, we love the look and the solid wood, as well as the underbed storage. The bed was very easy to put together, too.Our overall issues, however, are the bed is flimsy and literally cannot support a quality mattress and a teen or adult. On top of that, the ladder cuts into the full-size mattress.Issue 1 - flimsiness. With almost no effort or pressure I can make the bed frame shift and wobble with nobody in it and with all bolts firmly tightened. Structurally, it's just not that solid.Issue 2 - support. Please see the image with the planks above. The circled plank is an example of what comes with the bed - a few thin, widely dispersed planks that are supposed to support a full-size mattress. One significant issue with this, structurally, is there's no center rail to provide stability or support. There are only two fairly flimsy legs that with one screw each that are offset from center to allow for room for the underbed storage. There's no other support. When I put the full size mattress on, by itself, I could see bowing. As a structure test, I--a 200# man--laid on the mattress and we could see it bow significantly. Granted, I'm not sleeping in it, but it's obviously not very strong. I shopped around for a bunky board, but ended up buying extra 1X4 wood planks to provide support. After doing so, I could lay on the mattress without it noticeably bowing unlesss I actually moved around.Issue 3 - not enough room for the mattress. Please see the image of the mattress being compressed by the ladder. This is a Zinus – Cloud Memory Foam 12 Inch Mattress we bought specifically for this bed. Yes, it's thick, but I read a review from another customer who said they had a 9" mattress fit with no issues. As you can see, even 9" wouldn't fit very well, especially with bedding. Also, the mattress hadn't even fully reached it's size because it was brand new.All-in-all, we'll probably live with it because it meets a need and it's too much of a pain to disassemble and ship back, but I honestly wouldn't recommend it. I looked at another bed that looks almost identical from Merax and it clearly shows a center beam with 3 legs for less money than I paid for this. Even crazier, there's another bed listed from THIS SAME COMPANY (Harper & Bright Designs) using the exact same images EXCEPT it shows a center beam and 3 legs, whereas the images for the bed I bought don't show a center beam and only has 2 legs. The difference, even though they're the same bed from the same company? I paid $329.99 + $49 shipping, whereas the bed with the center rail and 3 legs costs $399 and has free shipping. They are sold by different merchants, however.Honestly, we're just disappointed, overall.Read more

Do not waste your money! This bunk bed is complete junk. Horrible instructions - missing pieces. I just tried to call the number that is provided and I got absolutely nowhere. When I sent them an email the response I got back is in either Chinese or Japanese and I have no idea what it is saying.

Twin

A Twin bed also referred to as a single bed is one of the smallest bed in the market with a dimension of 38’’ by 75’’. Its compact size makes it ideal for single sleepers may it be children or an adult living in a small space such as a studio apartment. It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Gray

Gray as a color can be somehow depressing and uninspiring especially in a darker bedroom, and as you already know sleeping in a gray bedroom is not as satisfying as sleeping in a brighter bedroom. Gray might not be as inviting as other colors but that doesn’t mean that a Gray bed is not a good choice for your bedroom. All you need to know before choosing a gray bed or any other no so bright colored bed is which bedroom décor is the best for that specific bed color. With a gray bed it can be really advantageous especially if you have an all-white bedroom since it will tone down the general look for your bedroom, creating some form of contrast. In case you have a bright bedroom and you wish to tone down I would definitely recommend for you a gray bed to help tone down your bedroom décor.

Drawers

A cluttered bedroom is not pleasing and relaxing at all. Sometimes, though your things are well-organized, seeing them still makes your space crowded. Two options are available: throw away your stuff or upgrade your regular bed into a drawer or storage bed. For sure, you will choose the latter, right?

Space-saving and multifunctional, drawer beds can make you feel like you don't need shelves and cabinets anymore. They come with 2 drawers, 4 drawers, 2 full and 2 half drawers, or end drawers built in the bed frame. Full ottoman and half ottoman are also available, where the entire bed offers hidden storage space. Drawer beds can also benefit your stuff since they are hidden, they won't accumulate dust. Finding them can also be easy for you because you have just one place to look at. After all, a tidy room can make your sleep better and more comfortable. And, yes, there's no such thing as too much storage.

Kids

The home is the training ground for children. It's where they learn and cultivate their values and character. So as a parent or a guardian, you play a big role in who they will become. Allow them to be themselves, to explore what they like, and to play with their imagination. Actually, you can start with their bedroom. How? Ask them what wall color they like. If you have an extra budget for a custom-made bed, ask your little one how he would like for it to look like. A car? A train? A spaceship? A dollhouse? Or if you can, build the bed yourself! It can be a great bonding time for you and your kids.

A kid's bed can also be space-saving with its built-in drawers, which can be a way to tidy up their toys and books. Beds with bedside table, where your child(ren) can study and play with papers and crayons, are also available in the market. Of course, kids love to play. Make bedtime fun with tent beds, beds with slide, and house-shaped kids' beds! Surely, your youngster will enjoy both his waking and sleeping hours.

Storage Included

When your bedroom space is small storage can be the biggest challenge you will encounter. Your closet could be a solution but not big enough to pack so many clothes. Well, you may want to buy a bigger cabinet, but you don’t want to pack so many dressers and cabinets into your space that it feels clunky and crowded. Storage beds are a fantastic way to get more space without adding extra furniture, and a lot of them are so stylishly designed you almost don’t notice the drawers are there. This bed design offers a great way to make the most of the space in your room, giving you a place to stash clothes, bedding, and more inside or beneath your bed frame. The best storage beds feature spacious compartments that are easy to access, and with tons of styles to choose from. The most common options are shelves built into the headboard or drawers built into the frame below the mattress. Depending on the reason you want space, a storage bed provides easy access, but if you're storing items that you don't need to get to very often, you can opt for a spacious platform beneath the bed that can be accessed when you lift the mattress. Ultimately, your choice will come down to what's most convenient for you.

Mattress Included

There’s no time like the present to upgrade your bed and mattress! A good night’s sleep depends on a high quality, comfortable mattress and an eye-catching, practical bed. Included with the beautiful bed frame is a high quality, comfortable, durable mattress. While other brands don’t offer this value, this company provides you with a mattress when you purchase a bed frame/headboard. The mattress included with your purchase is comfortable and long-lasting, and will ensure you get a relaxing, good night’s sleep every night. This mattress is tested for supportive comfort, quality, and durability and will exceed your expectations. Create an inviting, restful and comfortable sleep area while preserving your style and design aesthetics. This bed and mattress are sure to be long-lasting, comfortable, and beautiful. A good night’s sleep is just a click away!

Single Material

When you need to kick back and unwind on your own, you need a single-material bed. Single-material beds are an excellent choice for anyone that likes simplicity and practicality. Without combining materials, you get a clean and uniform looking bed that will match any bedroom. The con of a single-material bed is that they won’t stand out as much as other beds, but this can also be a pro as well, as it means they’ll easily blend into any room and not take attention away from other features that are nearby. The single-material is recommended if you’re after a bed for a minimalist setting, something that looks very simple and neutral - then you’re going to be satisfied by the single-material bed. Single-material beds also look great when you have two separate beds in the same room - the single-material look really gives the room a strong, matching and consistent appearance.

Wood

A wooden bed is a very popular choice especially when you are out buying a bed for your kids as they come with a number of advantages. Such as: wooden beds are known to be long lasting. At one point in life most of us have slept in a wooden bed, plus wooden beds can be traced back in history to our Tudor ancestors. If you opt to get you kid a bed of his or her own a wooden bed is always the best choice, since they are much easier to clean and maintain since its common knowledge how messy a child’s bedroom become. What makes a wooden bed the perfect choice for your child’s bedroom is its ability to withstand everything your child throws at it. This is because wooden beds are known to be sturdy and robust no matter the environment they are in.

Espresso Wood

When talking about coffees, espresso is the strong black one. In furniture and woods, it is actually somewhat similar to that. Espresso is a deep, dark brown color, so dark that it is sometimes mistaken to be jet black when, in fact, it stands between the two colors. If you want your bed to look elegant, go for espresso wood. It will also appear neat because dark color can magically tuck away dirt and dust. When under direct lighting, espresso gives out red hues. Cabinets, tables, and shelves that are in espresso sell more than those in light colors because many people opt for a traditional and classic look. Because of its neutral color, espresso is very versatile. It can go well with any home color scheme and design style. Since it's not black and definitely not a bright color, espresso can be pleasing and gentle to the feeling and to the eyes. It can also make you feel relaxed because of its soothing and coffee-like color, perfect after a long day at work.

Espresso may also be your favorite drink! You will definitely wake up feeling energized just by seeing your bed.
