Wedgeworth Platform Bed

Really sturdy well-made and easy to put together. Highly recommend for someone on a budget.

Im using this bed in my guest room. I put a 10 in memory foam mattress on it and it looks and feels great. The recommended thickness is a 12in mattress but a 10 in worked just fine for me. The bed was very easy to put together. It only took me 30 mins! I was hoping that the brown on this bed would match the wood accents in the room and it didn’t! The color was a little off from what I wanted. It’s a very caramel color. It still doesn’t look bad I think I will just spray paint the wood accent black so that the room looks cohesive.

Great beds for our grandchildren! So perfect!!!

Easy to install. It’s looks just like the photo. I wish it had a piece of plastic for the bottom of the legs. We had to get that separately .

Didn’t expect flawless design out of a couple hundred dollar bed and noticed the imperfections during the build. Some of the predrilled holes are dented in, gapping at some of the bolting points, and the center support bar rattles against the mattress cross bars. Unlike other reviews on similar style beds, I didn’t have to drill a new hole to mount the wood trim. That being said, the look of the bed is stylish and seems solid. The wood trim matches well to orangish-red stained oak and I am content with the purchase. The flaws are unnoticeable, unless looking closely for them, and the rattle went away with rubber stripping on the center support bar below the cross bars. I am giving this bed 5 stars because of look, style, price, and expectation.

We ordered the Wedgeworth Platform Bed in a full size for a guest room. It looks great, is very sturdy and with the mattress that we purchased from Wayfair it is very comfortable!

Easy assembling and very sturdy

Time for upgrade from twin to full size bed for my son. Didn’t want the faux headboard so this metal bed with the wooden design on the headboard and footboard looks great. My son loves his new bed and it looks great with rest of bedroom furniture.

Assembly was very easy and quick. Reallg didnt have any issues.

This was semi easy to put together and is a great bed. The only complaint I have is after two months the springs underneath are loud. So when you roll over in bed, it is heard. If that doesn’t bother you, you will love this bed. If noise is an issue, this may not work for you.

The bed is very good but the directions very poor

The frame had some flaws (scrapes, slight bowing, wood is more an orange color, etc). Overall a sturdy bed otherwise.

Bed is very sturdy but the slats are a struggle to get in properly once you get to the last one. It’s a very pretty frame.

Really good, arrive 4 days early, easy instructions, I had a hard time putting in the screw but it was fine. I thought it would come with the bars under the bed for more support but it didnt, its still very durable, but would of been nice if it did had more support on the bottom.

Came with missing parts, but otherwise the bed looks great and was easy to put together. You get what you pay for - this bed isn't TOP quality but it looks really great. Super modern.

It's a good bed frame but some details were disappointing when I was assembling this.

This bed is cute and sturdy. Just right for a small bedroom. However, putting it together was not fun at all--a million pieces and poor instructions. I've attached the image of the directions (be sure to check out the title) so you can see why.

Really like the bed. Only issue was that one of the attachments was shattered on the bottom. In the end, it didn’t affect the overall stability. Looks really nice.

The footboard to our bed came without the holes predrilled like on the headboard so we had to make them ourselves. We’ve been sleeping on it for a couple of weeks now and we’re starting to hear a little creaking from the metal support bars that go across the bottom. We only use the oversized mattress from our former adjustable base bed. But I can imagine using both mattress and box spring combo wouldn’t work because the combined height would be taller than the footboard. It looks pretty and simple like I wanted. And the height off the floor allows for under bed storage. I just hope it doesn’t get more creaky.

The headboard was alot smaller that what's shown on the picture. It didn't feel to sturdy but it's still new so hopefully I'm wrong.

The design and quality of construction (sturdiness) of this bed was great, especially for the price. Unfortunately the bed came with manufacturing defects on the finish of the headboard. A replacement was quickly sent. It had a defect on the footboard. Fortunately the 2 made a complete bed without any defects, but wasn't an ideal way to achieve the end result. 3/5 is for the inconvenience of the manufacturing defects. Without this issue it would have been 5/5

Finish product was alright. The head board’s holes didn’t match with the holes in the wood so it didn’t attach properly. The metal slats make the bed HORRIBLY loud but nothing some foam and zip ties couldn’t fix. I just expected better quality control and all around better quality for the price tag. Just beware you may need to do some DIY on this bed.

It is terribly squeaky. Each time my son moves in bed you hear the most awful creaking. The headboard arrived with a ding in the wood. It also looks like the bed is sinking in the middle.

Center supports on each side are poorly designed and began failing within a month.

I'm certain Wayfair sent me a bed that had been previously returned, as the box had been re-taped and scratches were notices on some on the metal pieces. For a couple of months, their website kept telling me there wouldn't be any full size frames in-stock until June. Then suddenly, I get an email in early April stating they have a couple of 'full' frames available. So, I ordered one. What I thought was going to be kind of fun putting together, eventually turned into a very frustrating mess. There is no verbiage to accompany the instructions. It allows for the assembly pictures, ONLY, to guide the purchaser in putting this thing together. After attaching side boards to head board, I got all the way to attaching the 2nd of two side boards to the foot board only for the holes to not match up. Which also prevented me from installing the slats. I was aggravated! I shifted the frame several times trying to align holes, but to no avail. I eventually had to partially dismantle the whole frame and then use vice pliers to hold the side board in line with the foot board. And even then the slats were extremely difficult to install securely. After hours...literally...of trying to put this frame together, I finally completed the task. Though the bed is pretty low to the floor, it looks and feels ok. A buyer never knows what challenges they might incur with an online purchase like this, but if I had had any expectation of my problems, I would have purchased something else.

Bed came in last week with 2 of the same pieces for the bottom of the bed. Due to this, we had to drill a whole where there was supposed to be one ourselves. In addition to this the manual listed the bed as a dresser. Very cheaply made. Disappointed customer.

So much to assemble. Very tedious. The bed is shorter then I thought it would be. You can tell it’s very cheapy and squeaky. Afraid to roll around because it squeaks so hard. A metal pole from the front middle already came out. But you get what you pay for and for the price it’s okay. Just a lot of squeaking. Good as Temporary bed.
