Took a picture soon as we finished it took me and my son about 2 hours to set up. We layed everything out before building. So worth it, space saving and economic for big families. Did order 2 twin mattresses for the bottom bunk vs 1 king mattress.

Putting it together was not an easy task. The parts had very small label stickers and one was mislabeled Which caused all kinds of issues at the end of assembly. We had to cut down two boards and drill a hole to secure a bolt because the hole was on the wrong board that had been mislabeled. It was very frustrating.Update 5/17 customer service reached out right away and fixed the issues above and beyond expectations. Very happy with my purchase and the outstanding customer service.

This bed was purchased for the ability to have a king-sized mattress for company without having to waste the space of a king mattress in our small guest room. I saw in all the reviews that you could either do 2 twin mattresses or 1 king mattress on the bottom bunk. However, once the bed was assembled and we measured the actual space where a mattress would go, we found a huge discrepancy. The listing showed that the long backside was 79.5 inches, and the pull out front measured over 77 inches when fully extended. This is incorrect. The long backside between the headboard and footboard is only 76 inches of useable space. They measured from OUTSIDE to OUTSIDE and came up with 79.5 inches. This is misleading, as you can only use the INSIDE measurements to sleep on. So, that being said, the bed frame is basically a square that is 76 in long by 76.25 inches wide when fully extended. This will fit two twin mattresses side by side (1 twin is 38 in x 75 in). However, you CANNOT fit a King mattress on this frame, as a King mattress measures 76 in x 80 in. There is literally no way a King mattress would fit. The listing states that a King is 2 twin mattresses, but that is also misleading. A King mattress is 2 XL TWIN mattresses side by side (a XL Twin is 38 in x 80 in). This bed is basically a twin over 2 twins, which is not a King or any other type of mattress! DO NOT purchase this bed if you plan to use anything other than 2 standard twin mattress on the bottom bunk.I plan on trying it out with 2 twin mattresses before deciding if we are going to return it. I am impressed with the wood, as it is solid wood, rather than MDF. Shipping was fast, and my husband said it was easy to build (I wasn't home when he built it, but I will say he's a genius furniture builder - I can't build anything, including IKEA stuff).Read more

First off, don't try to assemble this yourself. I did it over the span of about 4 days, working on it a little each day. Would love to give it 5 stars but there were a couple of things preventing me from doing so. Pros: It is STURDY. I was a little worried because I put it together. Ha ha ha but it is very study. Also, the trundle bed area makes for great storage if you don't actually need the bed. We purchased this for when we have my bonus daughters or guests. The king bed is great! Just make sure you have matching mattresses on the top and bottom bunk out the king won't line up. Cons: bulky, hard to assemble, bottom bunk frame (the part that pulls out into the king) bed doesn't line up. Next, it's BIG. I'm not worried about the size, but you might be. The instructions are all pictures... If you follow the 2nd option (bed steps on the right) there are missing steps and the instructions don't tell you to refer to the 1st option for them. I realized this was supposed to be done after getting the bed together. Oops! Some of the predrilled holes are not hollowed out enough so I had to clear them for the anchors to stay in. Bed slats have no markings for placement or predrilled holes. I had to drill holes to put the wheels on the king extension to get the wheels to go on. Overall assembly is a pain - and I now know why installation guys earn $80 an hour! Ha ha ha ha. Last, but not least, the bottom bunk bed that pulls out into the king doesn't line up with the bed frame, so it sticks out about 2 inches or so. Be careful not to catch a toe (my hubby did and ripped his toenail off!). There is about a 3 or 4 inch gap between the bed and frame edges. We plan to get some body pillows to fill the area with. We also plan to put some of that baby proofing corning/edge padding around the bottom bunk bed frame because it sticks out.Bottom line? Would recommend!Read more

I don’t like the fact that it isn’t very sturdy. It looks cute and not bulky but I’m afraid the loft will snap if my son scoots or bounces at all. It is way too wobbly and I don’t trust it. It’s held together with the smallest screws and a large wooden peg but the posts are so thin. I’m afraid to sleep under the loft. My son and I have a one bedroom loft apartment with High ceilings so it’s perfect for space saving but the thin posts make me nervous. Was okay to put together but I did it myself and got frustrated I recommend doing it with a partner for sure. Also the drawers don’t work bc the wheels fell off. Upset I spent 500 bucks for something I hate. Also emailed company about drawers and haven’t heard back. Worst buyers remorse.

Twin

A Twin bed also referred to as a single bed is one of the smallest bed in the market with a dimension of 38’’ by 75’’. Its compact size makes it ideal for single sleepers may it be children or an adult living in a small space such as a studio apartment. It’s an affordable and versatile bed set up for various sleepers such as toddlers and college student in the dorm. For over several decades it has been one of the most popular beds among college students and young children in their early teens as you can find it in most of their bedrooms, however in this modern age where people are seeking for more comfort and space, the popularity of twin beds is been over taken by queen size beds. Despite being great for growing children it’s also very flexible and versatile especially if you are trying to maximize the space in your bedroom.

Box Spring Not Required Platform

Platform beds do not require a box spring mattress, as they can support any mattress at all. This makes platform beds highly versatile beds that can be the main bed for a large family home, all the way to being the spare bed in a guest bedroom. The versatility of these beds makes them easy to use, and very easy to work into any bedroom. They can also provide a clean minimalist look, because there is no headboard sticking out and drawing attention. Platform beds are an excellent fit for anyone that wants their bed to be subtle and not draw too much attention. The box-spring-not-required-platform bed is easily customised to look exactly how you want, as there is no headboard dictating the overall style and look of the bed either. The platform bed is recommended for those times when you need a bed to fit into any bedroom setting and can be moved to another room at any time where it will also be a great fit.

Clear

When trying to decide the best paint color for your bedroom, it can be really difficult trying to envision how a certain color will work with the bedroom’s lighting and furniture. However with a clear bed you are assured that it will bring the best no matter what color you chose for your bedroom walls and furniture. A clear bed brings about tranquility into your bedroom, creating the perfect relaxing space after a long day at work. A clear bed may not be common in many households but it’s the new trend especially with the younger generation who are more into creating a bedroom environment that perfectly fits into their mood. When designing your bedroom interior décor and you have chosen to go with a clear bed you can let your creativity run wild since the clear bed will blend seamlessly no matter what color you opt for.

Gray

Gray as a color can be somehow depressing and uninspiring especially in a darker bedroom, and as you already know sleeping in a gray bedroom is not as satisfying as sleeping in a brighter bedroom. Gray might not be as inviting as other colors but that doesn’t mean that a Gray bed is not a good choice for your bedroom. All you need to know before choosing a gray bed or any other no so bright colored bed is which bedroom décor is the best for that specific bed color. With a gray bed it can be really advantageous especially if you have an all-white bedroom since it will tone down the general look for your bedroom, creating some form of contrast. In case you have a bright bedroom and you wish to tone down I would definitely recommend for you a gray bed to help tone down your bedroom décor.

White

A white bed is definitely a show stopper, it’s plain and simple. Despite people referring to white as lack of other colors, a white bed makes quite a statement. It gives your bedroom space a more open and timeless feel, while allowing your bedroom décor to standout even more clearly. A bed with a pure shade of white energizes your entire space giving it a vibrant new look, giving you the illusion of a more light within your bedroom. What makes a white bed a favorite for many is the fact that white as a color creates a relaxing sleep environment. And as you know choosing the right color is very important, since color is like magic and can influence your state of mind and emotions. If there is one thing you should do right is get yourself a white bed and enjoy every single moment you spend in your bedroom.

Drawers

A cluttered bedroom is not pleasing and relaxing at all. Sometimes, though your things are well-organized, seeing them still makes your space crowded. Two options are available: throw away your stuff or upgrade your regular bed into a drawer or storage bed. For sure, you will choose the latter, right?

Space-saving and multifunctional, drawer beds can make you feel like you don't need shelves and cabinets anymore. They come with 2 drawers, 4 drawers, 2 full and 2 half drawers, or end drawers built in the bed frame. Full ottoman and half ottoman are also available, where the entire bed offers hidden storage space. Drawer beds can also benefit your stuff since they are hidden, they won't accumulate dust. Finding them can also be easy for you because you have just one place to look at. After all, a tidy room can make your sleep better and more comfortable. And, yes, there's no such thing as too much storage.

Slat

A good bed must always have a strong base. The slat bed design is a type of base made for a bed. They are a series of connected bars that lie across the width of the frame. The designs offer great support for the mattress, hence providing good support to your back when sleeping and allows good ventilation to the mattress. Good ventilation for the mattress keeps them cleaner and more hygienic. The slats are made from strong wood ensuring the durability of your bed. These bases provide good firm support and are a simple and cheaper option. The slatted design comes in two designs to choose from. You can choose from two types of slats - solid slats or sprung slats. They also offer a good leveling of your mattress, allowing it to last longer.

Storage Included

When your bedroom space is small storage can be the biggest challenge you will encounter. Your closet could be a solution but not big enough to pack so many clothes. Well, you may want to buy a bigger cabinet, but you don’t want to pack so many dressers and cabinets into your space that it feels clunky and crowded. Storage beds are a fantastic way to get more space without adding extra furniture, and a lot of them are so stylishly designed you almost don’t notice the drawers are there. This bed design offers a great way to make the most of the space in your room, giving you a place to stash clothes, bedding, and more inside or beneath your bed frame. The best storage beds feature spacious compartments that are easy to access, and with tons of styles to choose from. The most common options are shelves built into the headboard or drawers built into the frame below the mattress. Depending on the reason you want space, a storage bed provides easy access, but if you're storing items that you don't need to get to very often, you can opt for a spacious platform beneath the bed that can be accessed when you lift the mattress. Ultimately, your choice will come down to what's most convenient for you.

Single Material

When you need to kick back and unwind on your own, you need a single-material bed. Single-material beds are an excellent choice for anyone that likes simplicity and practicality. Without combining materials, you get a clean and uniform looking bed that will match any bedroom. The con of a single-material bed is that they won’t stand out as much as other beds, but this can also be a pro as well, as it means they’ll easily blend into any room and not take attention away from other features that are nearby. The single-material is recommended if you’re after a bed for a minimalist setting, something that looks very simple and neutral - then you’re going to be satisfied by the single-material bed. Single-material beds also look great when you have two separate beds in the same room - the single-material look really gives the room a strong, matching and consistent appearance.

Solid Wood

When you're after a classy, reliable and natural look for your bed - you need the solid-wood style. This style of bed is nostalgic and will be a great match for any bedroom setting. You can not go wrong with a solid-wood bed. Whether it's fitting into an elegant and inspiring bedroom that's complete with scented candles, or into a main bedroom that has a focus on simplicity and minimalism - the solid-wood style bed will be the perfect choice for everybody. With their familiar appearance, they will also feel comforting to any guests that are to sleep on them. Solid-wood frames are a nice, neutral choice - they don’t have a strong and overbearing appearance, yet they still manage to attract the eye in a subtle, comforting way. If you’re after a style of bed that can fit into every setting, yet never steal the attention away from other important features in the room - then the solid-wood bed is what you need.

If you want your bed to look elegant, go for espresso wood. It will also appear neat because dark color can magically tuck away dirt and dust. When under direct lighting, espresso gives out red hues. Cabinets, tables, and shelves that are in espresso sell more than those in light colors because many people opt for a traditional and classic look.
