I bought this platform style bed frame to compliment my new mattress after a few attempts of trying different box springs didn't provide adequate comfort or support. I'm happy to say that this frame performs well for both of those needs. You really can't beat the price/quality ratio of this frame. It's very plain and simple, but well-designed and uses decent quality materials. I was impressed with how sturdy it is. Compared to similar metal platforms, I like that this one has wood-slats which are quieter and more forgiving than metal crossbar alternatives. I also love that this has 3 center legs in addition to the full rectangular legs at either end. This ensures that the bed is very stable and disperses a lot of load. The extended height of the frame has also greatly increased my under-bed storage. Perhaps the only thing I don't like about this frame is that the wood slats only have velcro on one side, so the other ends tend to slide out of place if your mattress shifts. This is easily remedied with adhesive velcro strips you can buy at the store. So far, so good.[UPDATE, Aug. 2021] So... earlier I mentioned how my frame only had velcro on one side, right? Well just the other day I went to expect my wood slats to make sure they hadn't slid out of position and I was surprised to see that the frame DID actually have velcro on the opposite side, but due to a manufacturing mistake, these rails were mounted upside-down! Fortunately, this is a very easy fix with some hand tools and it took me about 10 minutes to flip the rails. Now I have the slats secured on both sides as it should be. Besides this one minor hiccup, everything else about the frame has been good so far. It's sturdy, completely quiet, and it seems to hold my mattress in place a lot better than my old slippery box spring. Make sure to check your rails for velcro ON TOP when assembling!Read more

So I was a little skeptical about getting this bed frame since I had read the reviews for several of these and almost all of them had really bad reviews especially the frames from Zinus. So I just got it today, the box was damaged and it looked like it had been previously returned since it had a lot of tape. so I opened it and checked for any damage. Looks like someone just opened the box and didn’t like it and just closed it back up and returned it.The wood slats do look flimsy but the metal part do look sturdy. Very easy to assemble, instructions are clear as day.One thing though is if you want to rearrange your room you would have to take it apart to move because the legs will move and be lopsided. I will update in the future if needed.

Just assembled this frame and have been using it for about a week, and I have to say that for the money this is a good deal. I am using a fairly stiff queen memory foam mattress with a full dust ruffle and the frame supports it beautifully. The mattress never moves, and the frame doesn't make a sound. The headboard bolts right up with no problem. The only problem I can see is that if you have a heavy spring mattress the weight will transfer to the springs and push down on the wood slats which are kind of flimsy (hence four stars instead of five) and could break if enough weight was applied. All in all a good deal though for the right mattress. Remember to tighten the bolts already holding the fold out frame pieces when you assemble.

Price for the piece as a whole and assembly were the stars of this show. Not too pricey and construction of this thing is really simplistic. Very much for a minimalist like me.However, I’ve grown pretty tired of this bed already. Going on 2 months now with this bed frame and although it’s really great for its purpose, sex has been a nightmare. I live with my dad and brother and the bed creaks like a nightmare. Just something to consider

Extremely easy to set up. Someone described the planks as being that of wood for karate demonstration or balsa wood and that is basically the case ( I guess the idea is the wood has some give so it doesn’t just snap unfortunately I think it has a bit too much give). My foam mattress is on the stiffer side so it distributes weight better but I didn’t take any chances and used the box it came in to aid in the distribution of weight( I honestly think it makes a big difference but I have no comparison because I didn’t test without the cardboard). At 198. It seems to be ok but you won’t catch me plopping into bed. And if have the opportunity to end my covid dry spell I will need to find something better than cardboard and pray the legs hold up. To be fair I did plop into it and there was no call for concern but it’s not something I will do regularly. I did some medium (I guess) bouncing and the thing feels solid. But I’ve spent about 10 mins in the bed all together. Maybe I’ll comeback with an update. Oh it’s also silent so far that’s good. But first impressions this is a guest bed, or kids who are well trained not to jump around on it. It feels sturdy but it also seems if you take it up a notch it will bend and once it bends it’s over. Also I bent the metal when tightening the screws with not much effort.
