This is a cheap but well measured product. Is it the best at what it does? No. Is it more than what it is? No. Does it deliver on what it says it does....YES! If you are looking for quality. Look elsewhere. This is like a Chinese knock-off of some IKEA design. @ $93(us) for a double wall shelf....you can't expect much more. Is the finish a fine show piece? No... Is it serviceable for a bookshelf in a man-cave? Oh Yes!!!It went together very easily....keeping in mind...this is PARTICLE Board people. You can NOT crank the screws in it. You must snugly fit them...and leave them. You must "carefully" tap in the plastic dowels....with a very light hammer. Doing those two things will improve your assembly experience. If you feel the need to use a "drill" when putting it together.....make sure it is the kind that you can set the tension with. Mine goes from 1 - 20, 1 is barely turns....20 is drilling holes in concrete. I set mine for 4. The measuring on this piece is impressive. No gaps, everything fit tight and right. Its on my wall now holding about 270 CDs and has a couple of shelves left over for extra stuff.Simple 4 step instructions with pictures and some basic knowledge on how to use small tool. Combine them...and you have a nice shelf.Read more

This was easy-ish to put together. There were some steps that you had to really look at the picture as there was no description, but it was not difficult by any means. It looks really nice for displaying, and has the little button-type things to cover screws and stuff, so you don't see anything but the nice looking wood. It isn't "heavy", but it is sturdy and can hold a good amount of items (there are weight limits, but I use it for smaller, light vinyl figures, so no weight issues for me). I like the adjustable shelves. If I could add anything to this - it would be an optional front glass piece. It is open, and that would be the only thing that would make it better in my opinion.

It’s made of mdf and the bracket that holds it up seems to be sturdy enough, although It is also made of mdf. We ended up putting only about a quarter of our cds in it (originally we were going to put half in it), but think it Is sturdy enough to have been packed. We also painted it blue to match an Ikea bookcase in the room. The unit isn’t painted, but has a plastic-like slightly textured coating. After a light sanding, it took regular indoor semi-gloss well and even with quite a bit of dragging the cd cases in and out, it’s not peeling. We needed to use a roller—a brush showed brush strokes in a way I’ve never experienced with wood. All in all, it was well worth the price.

This cabinet looks pretty decent, and you can't really expect better quality for around 100 bucks. Assembly was easy.I have two minor complaints, both relating to the shelves: The bottom of them isn't painted, so if this is mounted up high, you'll see the unpainted wood when you look up at it, and there's a small gap between the back of the shelf and the back of the unit, so if you place a slim item flat against the back, it'll slip into the gap down to the shelf below.

I was very pleased with everything until all assembly and installation was complete. It is very easy to put together and is sturdy when completed. Hangs easily on the wall. But I was VERY dissapointed to find out after I had installed it on the wall, it is only capable of holding 3 shelves of standard DVDs. The top shelf will be too short to hold standard DVDs and blu-rays. So I had to lay them flat and then slanted on the top shelf. POOR DESIGN in that aspect. This is the reason I gave it 4 stars. If you have all blu-rays then you can fit 4 shelves of them, otherwise you'll have to compensate like I did.

It's nice but not great. First it covers the end CD/DVD/Blu-ray on each end per shelf (so 2 per shelf). Second directions in bad order. Despite what they say put the top on (even if temporarily to assure center piece is straight) before tacking down back. Third no brackets to secure bottom to wall. I don't know about you, but those of us that live (or have lived) in earthquake zones not to eager for 150 pounds of cabinet and movies/music to land on my 5 year old. Have wood glue handy. Too many pieces just "slapped" on. Main screws have no countersinking. So even though they provide black covers can still see silver of some of the the screws, and don't try tightening more just feel like they'll start striping. If a handy person I really like. Did about a 1/16" countersink on all outer screws hidden by all caps and secure. Added 1" tall strip in back on base and used 2 black screws to secure base to wall to avoid earthquake hop, and then covered with 2 small pieces of electrical tape (can barely notice). Also came with extra external screw cap covers used those to hide the screws run into the side of the 1" strip.

This item comes shipped in a 3-4" thick rectangular box with around 20 pieces that have to be assembled. The box weighs about 38 pounds. While the outside has all kinds of wonderful labels about safe transport and content protection the unfortunate reality is that the manufacturer does not place any type of wrapping between the parts inside the box. This means that they are constantly rubbing together during transport. In my case, I have pieces that are scratched and marred. They are also absolutely filthy. The problem is bad enough that if you wipe the cabinet with your hands you get black paint or other substance that comes off. I'm not even going to attempt assembly so back it goes. I'm really surprised this item is so highly rated.
