Beautiful stand. This is a really nice stand. It does mention that it is designed for 55" TV but I'm currently using it to hold a 65" Sony LED TV. The legs on the TV are closer to the middle than the edge and that is the only reason it can hold it so do bear that in mind if you also have a 65" TV you're looking to plop on here. The instructions are pretty idiot-proof. I assembled this thing in about 1 hour or so. The matte finish is super clean and modern and very compact. It does not take a lot of room at all and is fairly light considering it's size and capability. I'm also using it to hold a Sony STR-DN1050 receiver which JUST about fits in the centre bottom with very minimal ventilation but I knew that risk entering. The stand is very low without the legs, 19-inches tall which is exactly what I was looking for as the stand we had before this put the TV far too high and would strain our necks to watch. This stand creates the illusion of an even larger TV as it is closer to eye level and the TV takes up all of the space on the stand. You have the option to use the legs if you want to but I like the height that my TV is currently at so I chose not to use them.My only gripe I have with this stand is that there were some minor scuffs and scratches on the top panel of the stand when it arrived and it's not ideal, but I don't eat my dinner off it so I'm not going to go out of my way to spend more money to replace a surface I barely look at.All in all, this is the exact type of stand I was looking for to modernise a living room entertainment centre. If you're limited for space like I was and are looking for something which is well built, looks beautiful and won't break the bank, I can't really say you can do much better because I spent many hours trying to find something to compete with this and could not.Read more

This is a relatively simple media stand...bought it really for 2 reasons. I needed a place to put my center channel and wanted it aligned with my bookshelf L & R speakers for the best 3.1 sound. Putting the center channel speaker on top of the media console wasn't an option as I really didn't want to wall mount my tv and route cables behind the wall. My existing console stand didn't give me a place to put my center channel and drilling holes into the wall (which I had just patched up and painted) didn't sound like fun to me. Nor did I want to shell out $$$ for a decent soundbar (again, my audio setup via my Pioneer VSX-90 is better than most soundbars -- I'm sure that there will be someone who will comment that a certain soundbar is amazing and while it may be the case, those always seem to cost premium buku bucks!). Replacing my existing console stand was the more economical choice. The other thing that I appreciate with this console stand is width. My space is a 74" cutout in the wall and the width of this thing is great since it looks like it's practically custom as my previous stand left about 4.5" on either side which looked weird and wasn't wide enough to accommodate anything else (unless I wanted to slide the unit over to one side to create space but I didn't want an asymmetrical look either). All in all, it's a good stand. It is simple; what you see is what you get (WYSIWYG). There aren't any doors (better heat dissipation for electronics) or storage compartments. No LED lighting in any of the shelves. The shelves are adjustable with plastic pegs. This is (as almost all self-assemble furniture is nowadays) particle board with laminate that is prone to scrapes/scratches/dings. It is not as durable as hardwood but that's also why you pay these low prices.Assembly wasn't too bad (I put it together on my own) but there were areas that weren't very clear in the instructions (surprise, surprise) that I had to undo and redo because the pieces wouldn't go together otherwise. So be sure to really review/scrutinize the indescript drawings as best as you can but be prepared to pull apart and undo some of those camlocks and redo work to get everything to fit correctly. If anything, I wish this thing came with a couple more shelves (+ pegs) since my Xbox 360 and PS3 (yes, older gen consoles -- get off my back since I work and don't play much anymore unless you want to buy me a PS5 & Xbox Series X) both have wasted space above them...although this would mean that you'd also have to tap out your own holes to make this work since the last bottom peg holes aren't low enough. My fave/dream media/console stand would be the BDI Corridor Entertainment Stand...gorgeous but I'm not paying that kind of $$$$$$ either! So for what it is and what it offers, this is a solid unit. There are similar ones that are shorter in width (different or sold under different manufacturer/brand names) but same layout but in different laminate looks.Read more

I bought this cabinet for the DVD storage, in spite of some negative reviews about the doors not holding up over the long haul. It went together nicely, though the instructions are somewhat lacking in making it clear which sides are the finished edges. I read some reviews with complaints that it's not "real wood." Well duh! I've had plenty of other particle board furniture and this one seems pretty solid to me.Door storage - there are no straps to hold your DVDs on the door shelves. If you don't want them to fly off when you open to door, you will have to pack each row tightly.Assembly:I was able to assemble this myself. It took me a couple of hours. A mid-length phillips screwdriver and hammer (to attach the back cover) was all I needed. Keep in mind this cabinet is quite heavy, so it will pay to put it together near it's final location unless you have some extra help to move it later. For me the doors were the hardest part to install. They are quite heavy and therefore hard to hold in place while attaching the hinges to the cabinet. After nearly wrecking the screw holes by mounting all the hinges on the doors first as instructed, I found mounting the middle hinge on the cabinet and the other two on the door worked best for me.The unit comes with a strap (zip tie) and mounting brackets to attach it to a stud in the wall. At first I wasn't sure why this was needed, but I remembered an old VHS cabinet we had with door storage. When both doors were opened, the unit would tip forward. This unit seems pretty stable, even with the doors loaded, so I didn't install the strap. I suppose if the doors were loaded and the inside was left empty, there could be a tip hazard, so you may want to use the mounting strap.Packaging:The cabinet came in two very sturdy boxes with sturdy foam in the corners for extra protection. While the all the pieces were all undamaged, they were covered with particle board sawdust. It was everywhere, on every board, and was quite the mess to clean up. At first I was worried that this would mean the unit was going to be in bad shape, but surprisingly, it was fine (see photos). While I don't speak Spanish, I did notice the instructions were in English and French only. It's possible someone who speaks neither could still assemble the cabinet from the pics, but I'm glad I didn't have to do that.Read more

Cable Management

Electric devices play a crucial role in brightening the living room and breaking boredom. A cable management feature on a tv stand will ensure neatness while offering safety. All devices must use electricity and cables running everywhere, which can pose a significant risk for any member of the house. With a cable management feature installed on a tv stand, you rest assured of safety and elegance. Stands without proper cable management usually look shaggy, and in case you have toddlers around, you never know when the can will be changed to 'meal' as they don't choose what goes in the mouth. Managing cables or wires helps to maintain essential functions and also protect the devices from the clogged airflow due to messy and disordered wires. Tangled-up lines may make it hard for anyone cleaning the tv stand. The cable management feature is therefore essential to create a visually pleasing and clean work environment.

Black

A black finish on your tv stand is one of the best options for a tv stand. Black establishes an eye-catching relationship between the rest of the living room decor and your tv stand. It also makes the furniture complement each other. The black finish will most likely blend in with the rest of your decor and walls unless you choose a different option. The tv stand itself won’t stand out, but you can use elements around it that do. For example, white flower vases are a great bet. The exact role can be taken on by the area rug or the lighting in the room. Each black tv finish stand has its own set of properties, which allow it to stand out in various ways and to interact with the surrounding space in its path. However, the black finish will easily show dust hence making you clean more. This finish does not take scratches and dents well, therefore expensive to maintain.

Laminate

Laminate tv stands are versatile furniture pieces that can enhance a variety of styles in your home living space. Laminate is a combination of synthetic materials that are combined and designed to imitate the look of wood. Laminate tv stands are available in a wide range of colors and finishes to suit your style preferences. Due to the vast selection of options when it comes to a laminate tv stand, they are perfect for nearly every design motif, including traditional, contemporary, mid-century modern, farmhouse and coastal. Colors of laminate can range from a warm, rich brownish-red to a sleek, modern grey. Laminate tv stands will oftentimes have distinct characteristics, including wood grain patterns and knots (of course, those resembling real wood), which add to the overall beauty and character of the piece. A laminate tv stand makes a great addition to any home living space, as the range of options is versatile and adaptable to many home décor motifs.

Medium Density Fiberboard

Medium density fiberboard, or MDF, is a manufactured wood product that is made of broken-down hardwood or softwood fibers and a resin adhesive. A tv stand made of medium density fiberboard is very strong and durable. The surface of a medium density fiberboard tv stand is very smooth and conducive to painting; making MDF tv stands a great choice for people who enjoy DIY or home renovation projects. Medium density fiberboard tv stands can be quite heavy (and rival the weight of solid wood tv stands!), so it’s best to get two or more people to move and position it. The natural color of MDF tv stands is a brown/red color, but you can always paint or stain the surface to suit your style tastes and preferences. A medium density fiberboard tv stand will be stronger and more dense than particle board, and tends to be less expensive too. Overall, an MDF tv stand would make a great choice for your home living space.

Wood

Wood tv stands are one of the most popular types of tv stands available on the market-and for good reason! Wood is a versatile, beautiful, and natural way to enhance the aesthetic of your home living spaces. A wood tv stand can be different colors/tones or finishes, including painted, stained, or airbrushed. Due to the extreme versatility of wood tv stands, they are able to complement nearly every home décor style, including traditional, modern, coastal, farmhouse, antique and mid-century modern. A wood tv stand would make a great choice for people who enjoy DIY projects; wood is very conducive to painting or staining, so you can easily change the look of a wood tv stand should your style preferences change. A wood tv stand would make a perfect addition to your home living spaces and will create a beautiful and relaxed ambience in your home.

Contemporary

If you love a style that embraces minimalistic elements, then the contemporary style will ideally be your choice for a tv stand. This style will highlight grays, beiges, and shades of white. The class is also sleek, thoughtful, and has hidden details that emphasize an edited aesthetic. Contemporary style offers an 'everything in its place' interior featuring high on function and simplicity and low on collections and fuss. This, in turn, makes your tv stand a center of attraction, and anyone or guest entering your living room will quickly notice this style. Contemporary style also blends well with the rest of the decor in your living room. With this style, your tc stand will still fit in both modern and latest design because the style is ever evolving.

TV Stand

Modern and contemporary tv stands are the new way of life. They come in various designs and styles, some are usually floating, and others are mounted on walls and floors. Tv stands don't house too many media items; unlike entertainment centers, tv stands are meant to save on space and use the smallest space available. They are classic and elegant; when blended well with the rest of the living room decor, they make the living room an excellent chilling spot. Tv stands are functional, meaning they can fit in all areas depending on the dealing selected. It is easy to decorate this stand and finish it with artifacts to bring it to life. Tv stands tend to make your living room modern no matter what the rest of your decor is. Some tv stands are composed of shelves to allow you to house minor accessories like remotes or players.
