Can I use this bed with a tempurpedic mattress/box spring?
Hello, we recommend using a standard size mattress and box spring. An adjustable base can be used as long as the complete bed is assembled without the slats and support legs.Adjustable mattress does not use the slat system as well and the adjustable bed would have to fit within the bed frame. Thank you

Beds

A bed can be referred as a piece of furniture which is used as a place to fall asleep and relax. In this modern age beds consist of a soft cushioned mattress and a bed frame, the mattress is usually resting on a sprung base, solid base, or a wood slats. Beds come in different sizes ranging from infant-sized cribs to small beds that can just accommodate one person, to large king and queen sized beds designed for two or more people. Most bed are usually a single mattress and a fixed frame, however there are other varieties such as a sofa bed, which folds out of a sofa or a murphy bed that folds in to a wall. Other beds can be referred as temporary beds as they contain neither a bedframe nor a mattress, a good example is the inflatable air mattress or the folding camp cot.

Fabric

Fabric is commonly designed for everyday clothing, and, because of its quality, it can also be used for furniture upholstery. Light, simple, and versatile, fabric-upholstered beds can effortlessly match any interior design theme. They are durable and long-lasting. Fabrics are also soft and comfortable and can even make your bed stand out from the rest of your furnishings.

There are different types of fabric-upholstered bed depending on the textile used and each of them has its distinct advantages and disadvantages. A linen-upholstered bed is breathable, easy to clean, and hypo-allergenic, but is prone to wrinkles and low stain-resistance. A velvet-upholstered bed is good for those with pets and can be dyed in rich colors, but high-maintenance and very expensive. A cotton-upholstered bed is abrasion-resistant and allows you to maintain a cool feeling, but not that stain-resistant and its fibers may weaken when directly exposed to sunlight. A corduroy-upholstered bed is durable, low-maintenance, and inexpensive, but can be heavy. But, whichever type you choose, surely fabric can turn your bed into a comfortable one.

Linen

In case you’re thinking about investing on a good bed, get Linen upholstered material. Linen is made of fibers from the stems of flax plants. It’s durable, hypoallergenic, breathable, moisture-wicking, and grow softer and stronger with use. This material is as easy to care for as cotton bedding if you don't mind a few wrinkles. It comes in different colors for you to pic from and has an elegant and simple look brings a relaxed and clean atmosphere. Its easy to clean and remove stains. The linen material also blends very well you’re your room décor. Linen materials are soft hence when your skin comes into contact with the bed material, one won’t feel roughness.

Plastic

With an average of 5% usage increase per year, plastic or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) fabric is probably one of the most commonly used textile for bed upholstery in the world, proving its versatility. Also called as "vinyl," PVC is made from 57% chlorine (from salt) and 43% ethylene (from crude oil or sugar crops). You don't have to worry if a certain style is available; a plastic-upholstered bed has a wide variety of design and color choices, which means it looks good on any color scheme and theme. In addition, an everyday use is not a problem for this type of bed upholstery since plastic is designed to be stain-resistant and antimicrobial. It also has a promising strength, durability, and flexibility that can stand distortion and abrasion. Furthermore, many bed makers prefer PVC fabric because of its long lifespan and resistance to water and chemical, making it effortless to clean when your favorite drink spills over.

Polyurethane

Are you a leather fan yet can't seem to afford one? Polyurethane (PU) leather got you! Comes in several names such as bicast leather, split leather, bonded leather, reconstituted leather, and corrected grain leather, PU fabric is a material made of layer/s of polymer resins. A PU coating is added, which gives its leather look. Compared to real leather, PU is easier to clean and washable. It is also animal-friendly, so you don't have to keep your dear pets away from the room. Despite being cheaper, this artificial leather is very durable and doesn't crack with use or fade under sunlight, though it can more easily be torn than the real one. It doesn't dry out over time, as well. Actually, it's a better textile compared to other faux leather alternatives and is more eco-friendly than real leather when talking about sustainability because its production uses less resources.

Comes in varieties of color, PU goes well with a modern industrial style.

Hardwoods

Hardwood wood varieties refer to the type of tree the wood is taken from; it has nothing to do with how heavy or dense the wood is (contrary to popular belief!). Hardwood woods are sourced from trees that have leaves and lose their leaves in the winter months. Types of hardwood trees include hickory, maple, oak, birch and cherry (among others). Wood from hardwood trees is usually harder and therefore more dense, as these trees tend to grow at a slower rate. Hardwood is ideal for use in indoor furniture crafting, as it is sturdy and durable. Most hardwood varieties are bright and beautiful in their natural tone/shade, but many take well to staining, finishes and paints. The hardwood varieties offer a cozy, warm look and enrich your bedroom style. Hardwood bed frames are a great way to brighten your bedroom and enhance the overall look and feel of your sleep space!

Poplar

Poplar wood is one of the softest wood varieties on the market. That’s not to say it isn’t strong and durable; poplar wood is relatively easy to cut and can be painted to change or enhance your bedroom style. Poplar wood furniture is an ideal choice for people who are looking for natural-toned furniture pieces. The lighter tone of poplar wood is well-suited for smaller bedrooms, as the lighter color of poplar wood furniture pieces would make the room look larger. Poplar wood is an ideal design choice to create a nautical or beach-themed bedroom space and pairs well with a soft blue color palette. Poplar wood furniture is lighter than most other commercially available wood products, so assembly of furniture is relatively simple and uncomplicated. Poplar wood bedroom furniture is a great way to refurbish your bedroom décor and style.

Espresso Wood

When talking about coffees, espresso is the strong black one. In furniture and woods, it is actually somewhat similar to that. Espresso is a deep, dark brown color, so dark that it is sometimes mistaken to be jet black when, in fact, it stands between the two colors. If you want your bed to look elegant, go for espresso wood. It will also appear neat because dark color can magically tuck away dirt and dust. When under direct lighting, espresso gives out red hues. Cabinets, tables, and shelves that are in espresso sell more than those in light colors because many people opt for a traditional and classic look. Because of its neutral color, espresso is very versatile. It can go well with any home color scheme and design style. Since it's not black and definitely not a bright color, espresso can be pleasing and gentle to the feeling and to the eyes. It can also make you feel relaxed because of its soothing and coffee-like color, perfect after a long day at work.

Espresso may also be your favorite drink! You will definitely wake up feeling energized just by seeing your bed.
