Let me start off by saying we purchased this frame specifically because it was metal. As a military family we move often and we need furniture that is going to survive frequent moves and daily use. I wanted something durable yet easy to take apart and put together. This bed frame is it! Assembly took about an hour doing it by myself. The price is amazing for something that looks this nice, this easy to put together, and as well built. You really couldn't ask for more. I am extremely skeptical of buying furniture online as our last bedframe failed to hold up even a year but I am pleasantly surprised at how sturdy this frame is and based off some reviews I am worried about squeaking but I'll update my review if that does start happening. The bed frame was double packaged and well protected, everything was wrapped in plastic so there are no dents or dings during the unboxing. The instructions were easy to follow pictures and multiple warnings that any mistakes in assembly would result in the center piece being too short. All parts were labeled with a number and you put it together by sections 1-8 then attach the center support and done. My mattress is 10 inches and it comes right up to the bottom bar on the headboard. There's plenty of space underneath and only the center support so you could potentially store a lot of belongings underneath. I would purchase this again and I would recommend it to friends.Read more
This Is a great bed. I got three of them and no problem. I think some of the bad reviews come from people who are not very Mechanically inclined not to say this that's some kind of engineering degree but it helps to know how to tighten bolt without over tighten and striping out the screws. I have a couple of Tip that might help.1: Put the whole frame together very loosely before you tighten it down.2: Put Loctite Red on all the screws this will help them from backing out and the bed frame squeaking during your extracurricular activities.3: Don't jump on the bed it is not a Trampoline. If you can't help but jump on the bed buy your self a Trampoline to sleep on.I hope this help some people out there.Get yourself a good night sleep
I bought this platform bed frame about 9 months ago and it is holding up well. I do not use a box frame with the platform. I ordered the queen size and the package got delivered within a week. I had my boyfriend assemble it and it took him about half an hour. The frame started squeaking like crazy after a couple of months (which is awkward at times) because of loose screws. I took the advice of some other reviews and had my boyfriend go back in and coat the screws with Loctite Heavy Duty Threadlocker, 0.2 oz, Blue 242, Single and now it is as silent as a ninja! If you buy this, make sure to coat the screws with Loctite the first time around so that life is easier! I learned the hard way.
Do you have a nephew in seminary school? A daughter who watches far too much anime to consider getting a date? A jilted girlfriend who's sworn off of men forever? Or even a romantic partner who prefers his/her bedroom activities to be as gentle as possible? Have I got a bed frame for you!For the rest of us though, consider an alternative. Pic related.

Play Video This bed is a complete design fail! Don’t waste your time building it only to send it back.I am a mechanically inclined person that has worked at an engineering firm for the last 12 years. So you can believe me when I tell you this bed design was a complete failure. The headboard cross bars only have one bolt each on either end which means even when they are tight the joint pivots allowing that whole end of the bed to shimmy about 2 inches back and forth while the legs/feet don’t move. Please watch the video to see what I am talking about. Basically I decided right after building this bed that it was junk and it wasn’t going to last especially for my 15 year old that we bought it for. We only used it for 2 days until another bed frame arrived.I did contact Zinus as amazon suggested I do so when I tried to return this bed. I thought they may give me a discount toward a different designed bed frame but that didn’t happen. They basically told me to return it through amazon which is what I was trying to already do. I ended up returning this bed and ordering a different bed from zinus that was designed differently and so far we have had no issues.I will say that we have other bed frames from this company and they are great but this twin bed frame design is a complete failure that they need to stop selling or redesign. I am not sure if the larger frame sizes are designed the same but the twin is most certainly unusable.Read more
This product was easy to set up. But after only two months of use by one 100-pound person, it began squeaking, and I found that the center piece that supports the mattress had broken and bent. I had registered by product on the Zinus website to take advantage of the "warranty" for the bed frame, so I contacted Zinus customer service asking for a replacement part and screw (it is an 11-inch piece of metal). I have submitted two difference ticket claims, emailed them at least 8 times, even messaged them on instagram, and have not received a single response that was not the automated "we will contact you." I called the customer service number, and was told that they could not do anything and that I had to wait for the other department to respond to my emails. It has been 3 weeks, and I can't even get a reply about getting a replacement part. I am very disappointed in this product and the company who doesn't stand behind their products.
Questions & Answers
Is the headboard sturdy enough for handcuffs?
I do not have this bed and have not slept (or anything else) in one. But my husband and I have gone through several beds and broken all but the one we have currently. It has lasted about 12 or 13 years now. So, speaking from experience, your best bet is to get a very heavy, sturdy framed wood bedframe and put heavy dut… see more
What is the spacing between the slats?
The distance between the slats for the FULL size is 3.94".
How far apart are the slats?
On the 1500 FULL model, the slats are 3.25 inches apart.
how much weight can it hold?
I have this platform bed. I absolutely doesn't support weight up to 2400 pounds. This frame started sagging at 175lbs. We ended up buying extra oak wood to place in between existing slats. That cost us another $30. Also, keep in mind, adding a 10" mattress on top of the frame makes this frame extremely high, (al… see more
